Use the Report control on the Kalshi market where you saw the activity, or send an evidence package to whistleblower@kalshi.com. Kalshi says market reports go to its 24/7 surveillance team. Use Kalshi support chat for unauthorized account activity or platform problems. If the conduct may violate federal law, submit the allegation through the CFTC’s Submit Tips & Complaints channel as well.
Choose the right reporting route
The correct destination depends on whether you observed abusive trading in a market, a security problem in your own account, or conduct you want a federal regulator to review. Sending a market-integrity allegation to ordinary support can delay triage, while sending an account-compromise report to a whistleblower channel may omit details support needs to protect your funds.

Kalshi’s June 9, 2026 announcement says every market has reporting tools and that submitted tips go directly to its surveillance team. That makes the affected-market control the most targeted first step when you can still open the market page.

Report suspicious activity from the affected market
1. Open the exact market
Sign in to Kalshi and navigate to the market in which the behavior occurred. Confirm the market title, contract outcome, and URL before submitting anything. Prediction markets can have similarly named contracts, and a report tied to the wrong outcome is harder to investigate.

2. Preserve the page before filing
Capture screenshots or a screen recording showing the market title, outcome, order book, visible trades, and the page address. Keep the original files unedited. If a public post, announcement, or other event is relevant, save its URL and record the timestamp shown on the page. Use your local time zone in notes, but also write the time zone explicitly so investigators can align the events.
3. Select the market’s report control
Use the reporting control on that market and follow the form’s prompts. Describe what you observed rather than asserting that a particular person committed a crime. Include the account or trader identifier only if it is publicly visible in the market interface or your records; do not guess at a person’s identity.
4. Submit a concise chronology
List the relevant events in time order. For example: an unusual order appeared at 14:02:11 UTC; it was cancelled at 14:02:18; a large position was opened at 14:03; and a public announcement followed at 14:10. State which details are visible in the order book and which are your interpretation. Attach the corresponding screenshots and identify the file that supports each major point.

Keep a copy of the text, attachments, and any confirmation number or on-screen acknowledgement. If the behavior continues, add new observations as a separate chronology rather than altering the original files. Do not repeatedly submit identical forms; one complete report with clearly labelled updates is easier to review.
Send an insider-trading report by email
Kalshi identifies whistleblower@kalshi.com as the address for reporting an insider. Email is useful when you have several files, need to explain a longer sequence, or cannot access the market report control.

Suggested subject and structure
Use a descriptive subject such as “Possible misuse of confidential information in [market name]” and keep the message factual:
- Identify the market, contract outcome, and exact URL.
- Give the date and time of each relevant trade or order-book event, including the time zone.
- Identify a publicly visible account or trader handle, if one exists.
- Describe the observable pattern and the public event or information that followed.
- Separate facts from inferences with labels such as “Observed” and “Why this may be relevant.”
- List attachments and explain what each file shows.
- State whether you also reported the matter through the market control or to the CFTC.
Do not include passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card numbers, or unrelated personal information. If an attachment contains sensitive material that is not needed to establish the trading pattern, redact it while retaining an unaltered original for your records.
Use support chat for account compromise or unauthorized transactions
For a stolen account, trades you did not authorize, payment issues, or a malfunctioning interface, open the logged-in support messenger through Menu → Get help → Chat with support. Kalshi says chat is the fastest support route. If chat is unavailable, contact support from the email address associated with the account when possible.
Details support may need
- The specific unauthorized transactions and the markets or contracts involved.
- Approximately when you last accessed the account normally.
- Payment-method details sufficient to identify the method without exposing full secrets.
- Dates, amounts, and transaction times.
- Your account type and the name of the financial institution involved.
- A screenshot of a bank statement or transaction record when it helps validate the report.
Secure the account through the instructions support provides and keep the support conversation separate from a market-manipulation allegation. You can submit both reports when an account compromise and suspicious market activity are connected, but explain the connection and give each team the information needed for its purpose.
Escalate to the CFTC when federal review is appropriate
The CFTC’s February 25, 2026 prediction-markets advisory says the Commission has full authority to police illegal trading practices on designated contract markets. It specifically identifies fraud, manipulation, wash sales, disruptive trading, and misappropriation of confidential information among the practices within that authority. The advisory provides a Submit Tips & Complaints route.

Use that channel when you want the federal regulator to receive the allegation, especially where the suspected conduct affects market integrity beyond a single account or appears to involve a prohibited trading practice. You do not have to wait for Kalshi to finish an internal review. Include the same primary evidence you sent to Kalshi and note the date and method of any Kalshi report so the CFTC can understand the sequence.
What a regulator-ready submission contains
- A plain-language description of the suspected conduct and why it may violate a trading rule.
- The designated-market name, contract outcome, and exact market URL.
- Precise timestamps with the time zone and, where possible, the relevant transaction or order identifiers.
- Accounts, handles, or entities as displayed in records; do not infer a real-world identity from a username.
- Original screenshots, recordings, public-post URLs, and a file list.
- A statement of what you personally observed versus what you learned from another source.
- Any immediate risk, such as continuing orders or an account compromise.
Recognize patterns worth reporting
A single profitable trade is not proof of insider trading. Report the concrete behavior that prompted concern and let investigators determine whether it violates a rule. Common red flags include:
Trading immediately before a known announcement
Record the order and execution times, the announcement’s publication time, the size and direction of the position, and whether the trader repeatedly benefited from similar events. Explain how you know the announcement was not public at the time; avoid claiming that a person possessed confidential information unless you have evidence supporting that inference.
Unusually concentrated or coordinated orders
Document clusters of accounts, matching order sizes, synchronized timestamps, repeated funding or withdrawal links visible to you, or activity that consistently moves the price. Similar trading alone does not establish coordination, so describe the measurable overlap rather than assigning a relationship.
Spoofing-like order behavior
Capture large displayed orders that appear to create pressure, are cancelled before execution, and are followed by trades in the opposite direction. Include the order-book snapshots and the intervals between placement, cancellation, and execution. A cancelled order can have legitimate explanations; the repeated pattern and context matter.

Wash or pre-arranged trading
Preserve records showing apparent trades between linked parties, offsetting transactions that do not reflect genuine exposure, or repeated transfers arranged in advance. State exactly what is visible and why the sequence appears non-competitive. Do not label a transaction a wash sale solely because two accounts traded with each other.
Possible use of confidential information
Describe the information, when it became public, who could have had access, and the trading that preceded disclosure. Public rumors, widely available reporting, and ordinary forecasting are different from material nonpublic information; identify the source and timing of the information you are discussing.
Build an evidence package investigators can use
Capture identifiers and context
- Market name, URL, and contract outcome.
- Visible account or trader identifiers.
- Order-book levels, trade history, position changes, and relevant balances if visible to you.
- Public announcements, posts, or filings with their original URLs and timestamps.
Make timestamps unambiguous
Write the calendar date, clock time, and time zone for every event. If a screenshot uses a different zone from your notes, state the conversion. Keep the device or platform clock visible when recording a screen, but do not alter the image afterward. A short timeline table can help:

Protect authenticity and privacy
Retain originals with their file names and creation dates. Work from copies if you need to redact unrelated personal data. Do not publish another user’s private information, attempt to access restricted accounts, or contact an alleged trader to obtain more evidence. Those actions can compromise an investigation and create legal or safety risks.
What happens after Kalshi receives a flag
Kalshi describes continuous pattern recognition for anomalous timing, unusual win-rate irregularities, and coordinated activity. It says a flagged account may be frozen while compliance staff review funding sources and trading history. Legal staff determine whether a violation occurred. Confirmed violations may lead to disgorgement, fines, multi-year suspensions, or permanent bans, and Kalshi says confirmed violations are reported to the CFTC.

In its June 9, 2026 announcement, Kalshi reported more than 150 investigations, more than 100 potential insider trades blocked by new screening tools, more than 20 referrals to law enforcement, and five disciplinary actions. Those are company-reported figures for 2026, not a prediction of the outcome of an individual report.
Kalshi Head of Enforcement Robert DeNault said, “By implementing these new integrity measures, we continue to lead the industry on the issue of market integrity amongst federally regulated prediction markets.” The statement describes Kalshi’s enforcement approach; it does not establish that any particular account in your report violated a rule.
Limits, confidentiality, and realistic expectations
The reviewed Kalshi and CFTC materials do not promise a response time, anonymity, or a whistleblower reward. Do not assume that silence means a report was ignored or that a submission guarantees a payment. Keep your confirmation and evidence, and provide updates only when you have materially new information.

A report is an allegation, not a finding. Use neutral language, avoid naming a person beyond what the records show, and do not post accusations publicly while a review is pending. If you fear retaliation or have safety concerns, explain them in the submission and ask the receiving organization what protections it can provide; do not promise yourself that a channel is anonymous when its published materials do not say so.

Common mistakes that weaken a report
- Sending only a conclusion: “This was insider trading” is less useful than a timestamped sequence showing what happened.
- Leaving out the time zone: Investigators cannot reliably compare an order with an announcement without it.
- Using compressed or edited images: Preserve originals and label working copies.
- Mixing account support with market allegations: Give unauthorized-transaction details to support and market-integrity evidence to surveillance.
- Overstating identity: A public handle is not proof of a person’s name or affiliation.
- Submitting stale duplicates: Send one complete report and add clearly identified new events.
- Expecting a guaranteed outcome: A report triggers review; it does not establish liability, a timetable, anonymity, or a reward.
