Report the problem to the channel that handles it: suspicious trading or a questionable settlement may go to a platform integrity team; confusing market rules may need a market-bug report; unauthorized transactions belong with account support. If you suspect fraud or illegal gambling, you can also contact the relevant government authority for your location. These are different complaints, and no single regulator or platform channel handles every case.
Choose the reporting route that fits the problem
Start with the platform’s own process when the concern is about a particular market, account, or user post. Add a regulator or law-enforcement report when the allegation may involve fraud, criminality, or a regulatory violation. The available routes below are platform- and jurisdiction-specific, not a universal procedure.

Prepare evidence before you submit a report
A concise, verifiable account is more useful than a broad accusation. Preserve the original material and include the identifiers relevant to the type of complaint.

- Rules or settlement: the full market rules, any summary shown to users, and the verification source or result you believe conflicts with the contract.
- Trading activity: the wallet address and transaction hash if the activity is on-chain, plus the relevant market and approximate time.
- Account activity: transaction identifiers, approximate dates and times, and relevant account evidence. Do not send passwords or authentication codes.
- Chronology: what happened, when it happened, which claim or rule appears inconsistent, and what evidence supports that concern.
- Requested action: say whether you are asking for a review, correction, or explanation. This is practical advice; the cited services do not prescribe one universal legal complaint format.
Keep an unaltered copy of screenshots and records. If you annotate a copy to point out a detail, retain the original too. Avoid posting personal, account, or financial information publicly when it is not needed to explain the concern.

Check the full contract before alleging a settlement error
A short market summary may not include the terms that determine resolution. Kalshi says its summary describes the measured value, timeline, and verification source, but does not contain the entire text of the full rules. Compare the full contract language and its stated source criteria with the outcome before reporting a mismatch. A summary that is incomplete is not, by itself, proof that the resolution violated the contract.
Escalate carefully: “gambling,” fraud, and market misconduct are not interchangeable
Suspected fraud or misuse of nonpublic information
The CFTC’s consumer guidance identifies warning signs such as promises of large profits with little risk, claims of exclusive knowledge, and refusal to process withdrawals. The CFTC says suspected illegal platform activity or fraud can be submitted to it; its advisory also names the FBI as a route for people who have been defrauded.

On February 25, 2026, the CFTC described an enforcement matter involving a Kalshi trader who had direct or indirect influence over a contract outcome. The case included a five-year suspension from direct or indirect exchange access and a total financial penalty of $2,246.36, comprising $246.36 in disgorgement and a $2,000 penalty. This is a specific case, not a typical penalty or a prediction of what will happen to another report.
Possible illegal gambling or licensing concerns in Great Britain
The Gambling Commission distinguishes intelligence about suspected criminality or other suspicious activity from a customer’s dispute about a gambling transaction. Use the operator’s complaints process for the transaction dispute; the Commission’s confidential intelligence channel is for information it may use to assess suspected wrongdoing. The Commission states that it does not resolve or decide complaints about gambling-related transactions.

Confirm which authority has jurisdiction
Do not assume that every product called a prediction market is legally classified the same way or overseen by the same regulator. Kalshi describes itself as a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market, while the boundary between federal derivatives oversight and state gambling laws is contested. That description does not establish that the CFTC has jurisdiction over every platform, product, contract, location, or allegation. Check the operator’s stated status and the rules in your jurisdiction; for a consequential dispute, consider qualified legal advice.

Polymarket says reports are logged, triaged, reviewed confidentially, and that substantiated cases may lead to restrictions, legal action, or referral to law enforcement. That is the platform’s description of its process, not a promise of a particular finding, response time, or remedy. The cited platform guidance does not establish a general response deadline or guarantee compensation. A regulator’s intelligence intake may inform broader oversight without resolving an individual transaction dispute.
