Report a suspected Battlefield 6 map Easter egg as a reproducible lead, not a confirmed discovery. EA’s Battlefield 6 – Community Update – New Maps, Features, and More, accessed October 13, 2026, says: “Please continue reporting issues through our EA Forums.” That is the clearest current direction for submitting a suspected map discovery or a problem that may be related to one.
The same update describes the Phantom Program as a mix of challenges and Easter eggs and says players must find and solve Easter eggs across Fort Lyndon. That establishes an Easter-egg context for that event. It does not establish that a particular object, message, dinosaur reference, sound, or interaction on another map is an intentional secret.

What makes a screenshot report useful
A screenshot proves that something appeared on your screen at one moment. By itself, it normally cannot prove the trigger sequence, show whether the result repeats, identify the exact location, or distinguish an intentional secret from a bug, ordinary prop, lighting effect, or edited image. A useful report supplies the missing context.
- Provenance: Keep the original file and its capture date. Do not overwrite it with a crop or annotation.
- Context: Name the map, mode, platform, approximate date, and relevant match conditions.
- Location: Give a landmark, sector, objective, building, room, route, or other locator that another player can recognize.
- Sequence: Describe the starting point, object or clue, interaction, timing, and result in order.
- Repeatability: Record which attempts succeeded, failed, or required a particular condition.
- Uncertainty: Separate what you directly saw from what you think it means.
These are recommended evidence practices, not fields EA has announced as mandatory.
Capture the evidence without destroying the original
1. Save the untouched screenshot
Use your platform’s normal screenshot function and retain the original file exactly as captured. Keep a second copy before editing. Do not crop, add arrows, change contrast, remove the user interface, or convert the only copy to another format. If you need to point out a clue, create an annotated companion image and label it as edited.
2. Capture a close view and a wide view

The pair lets another player connect the detail to a location instead of trying to navigate from an isolated image.
3. Preserve more than one moment when timing matters
If the suspected egg changes after an interaction, take a sequence of screenshots or record a short clip when your platform supports it. Keep the first state, the interaction, and the resulting state. A single final frame may hide whether the object was always present or changed because of your action.
4. Do not manufacture clarity
Brightness, sharpening, color correction, or upscaling can make a clue easier to inspect, but they can also create apparent letters or shapes. Keep any enhancement separate from the original and disclose what was changed. Never present an edited frame as unaltered evidence.
Record the match and map context
Write down context while the details are fresh. If you do not know a value, say that rather than guessing.

Do not invent a version number, trigger condition, or coordinate. “Unknown” is more reliable than a precise-looking guess.

Describe the suspected Easter egg as a reproducible sequence
- Start point: State where you spawned or which landmark you used.
- Route: List the turns, doors, elevators, ladders, or objectives needed to reach the area.
- Target: Identify the object, decal, sound source, terminal, button, corpse, vehicle, or other clue.
- Interaction: State the input or in-game action used. Include whether you looked at, damaged, carried, activated, or stood near something.
- Timing: Note the round phase, countdown, weather, score, player state, or delay before the result.
- Result: Quote visible text exactly when possible and describe an animation, sound, particle effect, door movement, or other change.
- Repeat attempts: List how many attempts you made, how many worked, and what differed between attempts.
- Source boundaries: Mark which steps you personally performed and which came from another player’s post or guide.
Use neutral wording. “The terminal displayed the words … after I interacted with it” is an observation. “This proves a larger developer-made secret” is an interpretation that requires additional evidence.
Use a two-image layout that readers can verify
Image A: the clue
Show the smallest useful area while keeping the original aspect ratio. The clue should be readable without implying that surrounding pixels were removed. If the game’s interface obscures the clue, explain that in the caption rather than editing it away.
Image B: the landmark
Show the wider area and a recognizable route marker. A sector label, objective icon, building exterior, bridge, statue, or distinctive terrain feature is more useful than a generic wall. Add a text caption with the map and location; place arrows only on a separate annotated copy.
Optional sequence images or video
When the discovery depends on order or timing, add numbered frames or a short clip. Keep the original screenshots alongside the edited presentation. State whether the clip captures the entire attempt or begins after you reached the location.
Separate observation, interpretation, and confidence
Readers should be able to tell exactly where the evidence ends.

Use a sensible source hierarchy
Not every mention of an Easter egg carries the same evidentiary weight. An official Battlefield or EA communication can establish that a feature or event exists, but it may not validate a specific player’s interpretation. In this case, EA’s update establishes the Phantom Program’s Fort Lyndon Easter-egg context. When citing a community source, identify it as a lead and state whether you personally tested it. Do not attribute details to a thread you could not read, and do not imply that multiple copies of one post constitute independent confirmation.
Ask another player to reproduce it
Verification is stronger when someone who did not create the original claim can follow the instructions. Give the second player the map, mode, landmark, and sequence, but ask them to report what they observe rather than merely confirming your conclusion.
- Have them begin from a stated landmark or spawn area.
- Ask them to capture their own close and wide views.
- Record whether the result appears under the same match conditions.
- Test one variable at a time, such as round phase, interaction order, or event playlist.
- Save failed attempts; a failure can reveal a hidden condition or show that the effect was accidental.
If only the original edited screenshot exists, label the claim unverified. If the result repeats but only under an unknown condition, call it reproducible under limited circumstances rather than fully confirmed.
How to judge report quality
The following framework is an editorial way to compare evidence; it is not an EA scoring system.

Common mistakes and how to fix them
Calling an ordinary prop an Easter egg

A sector name alone may be too broad. Add a spawn point, landmark, turns, floor, and nearby objective so another player can reach the same camera position.
Confusing a bug with an intentional trigger

Decision checklist before you post
- Do you still have the untouched original screenshot?
- Can a reader identify the map, mode, platform, approximate date, and landmark?
- Have you described the complete route and interaction in order?
