You can report a player in MTG Arena from the Options Menu, a player card in the Challenge Lobby, or your Friends List. Choose the reason that best fits the conduct, add relevant details, and submit. Wizards of the Coast announced this feature on August 17, 2026, for the August 18 update; the locations and categories below describe its announced launch behavior and may change in later updates.
Where to start a player report
Use whichever entry point is available for the player you need to report. Each opens the same Player Report screen.
From the Options Menu
- Open the Options Menu.
- Select Report Player at the bottom, beside Report a Bug.
From the Challenge Lobby
- Find the player’s card in the Challenge Lobby.
- Select Report Player beneath the card.
From your Friends List
- Open the Friends List in the social blade.
- Right-click the friend on desktop, or long-press the friend on mobile.
- Select Report from the menu near Unfriend and Block.
Choose the reason that best matches the conduct
The announced launch form offers five reasons. Pick the closest match and use the details field to explain relevant context, if needed.
Recommended Free Tools
- Inactivity: Idling during a match or intentionally playing slowly.
- Hate Speech: Racism, sexism, homophobia, or similar conduct.
- Inappropriate Username: An offensive or harmful display name.
- Verbal Abuse: Harassment or harmful language.
- Spamming: Advertising, phishing, solicitation, or repeated messages.
Submit the report and understand what happens next
- Choose a reason from the drop-down on the Player Report screen.
- Add relevant details that help explain the reported conduct.
- Submit the report and look for the confirmation that it reached Customer Service for review.
Wizards said its moderation partner GGWP would help gather context and organize submissions into a review queue. In its August 17, 2026 announcement, Wizards stated: “No reports will be actioned on automatically.” It also said every report would be evaluated and actioned by a person at launch. The announcement describes possible automation for clear-cut cases as a future option, not part of the launch handling process. Read the official MTG Arena announcement.
#1 Best Overall
- Includes a mix of AT LEAST 25 Rares/Uncommons which is half of the cards.
- Absolutely NO... Basic lands, Foreign, or silver/gold bordered cards.
- Some may contain Foils or Mythics but not all.
- Sets can range from Beta to the current Magic the Gathering set.
- Mint/Excellent condition only.
What the announcement does not establish
Wizards’ announcement confirms receipt and review, but does not explain whether you can track a submitted report, receive its outcome, or appeal a decision. It also provides no report-processing times or enforcement statistics, so you should not expect a particular response time or outcome based on that announcement.
