To make a NixieFX particle burst reproducible in Three.js, load an export that supports the three3d backend, create the effect with a fixed numeric seed, and call vfx.update(deltaSeconds) once per frame. Reuse the same effect and seed to replay the same simulated motion; choose a different seed when you want variation.
Set up the Three.js runtime
Install NixieFX and Three.js in your project:
npm install nixie-fx threeThree.js is an optional peer dependency of the runtime package, but it is required when importing its Three.js adapter. See the NixieFX repository for package and entry-point details.
Load and validate the exported effect
Load the export manifest and effect files with loadVfxExportBundle. Set requiredBackend: "three3d" so the loader rejects an export that is blocked for Three.js, then select the effect you want from bundle.effectsById.

Partial support can include approximations and warnings, so review the backend details rather than treating it as fully equivalent to supported.

Provide assets only when the effect needs them
Effects that reference texture files need a ThreeVfxTextureStore with those textures preloaded. Mesh and material providers are also available when needed. These providers are optional: an effect with no file assets does not need them. The Three.js runtime guide documents the provider setup and API.
Create the renderer and a seeded effect
Create one ThreeVfxRenderer for the scene, passing its camera and any required asset providers. Then instantiate the selected effect with an explicit seed:

});The position is the effect’s world-space origin. The numeric seed controls its repeatable simulated motion. NixieFX documents that “The simulation is deterministic: same effect, same seed, same motion, on every machine and every backend.” This is a claim about simulation motion, not a guarantee of pixel-identical rendered frames: rendering conditions, assets, browser and GPU behavior, and host frame progression are separate variables.
Advance the effect once per frame
Call vfx.update() with a delta measured in seconds, once on each host frame and before rendering the scene:

animate();If your timing source returns milliseconds, convert the value by dividing by 1000. Passing milliseconds to an API that expects seconds advances the simulation far too quickly. The runtime setup and update contract are also described in the repository documentation.
Trigger an immediate burst or author a schedule
Request a burst at runtime
Use instance.emitBurst(emitterId, { count, position }) to request an immediate burst from a specific emitter. It returns the number actually emitted after capacity clamping. If the effect has completed, the documented behavior is to restart it before emitting.

Configure a burst in the effect
For a burst that is part of the authored effect, the editor provides controls for burst time, count, cycles, interval, and chance or probability. See the NixieFX Editor Manual for those controls.
Replay the same motion or create variation
Use the same effect and seed when you want the same simulated motion again. The Three.js API also supplies a fixed default seed, 0x7F4A7C15, when you omit one. As a result, leaving out seed does not give each new instance a fresh random pattern. Pass a different seed for a varied spawn, or use seek(timeSeconds) to reach a chosen point through deterministic replay.

For an effect that should wait for an explicit trigger, create it with autoStart: false and use its lifecycle or burst methods to run it. The instance also supports play(), pause(), restart(), and transform updates such as setTransform(...). When reusing an instance, these controls let you restart or reposition it without rebuilding the renderer.
Release scene resources
When the owning scene is released, destroy the renderer and any texture store created for it. This keeps their lifecycle aligned with the scene that uses them.
