If your Samsung stove’s glass top is cracked, stop using the appliance. Switch it off and unplug it if you can do so safely, keep people away from sharp fragments, and do not cook on it again until the glass has been replaced. What to do first if the glass is cracked

- Keep people away from fragments; do not handle loose glass unless you can do so without risk of cuts.
- Do not use the cooktop while the surface is damaged, even if a burner still appears to work.
Identify the appliance and full model code
“Samsung glass stove top” can refer to the glass surface on a freestanding electric range or to a standalone electric or induction cooktop. The distinction matters: the design, replacement assembly, and disassembly instructions are model-specific. Record the complete model code, including its suffix, from the appliance rating label or its documentation. Use that exact code when looking up support, manuals, service, and parts.

Confirm the replacement assembly before ordering
Search using the complete model code, then verify the part number and compatibility with Samsung or a parts supplier before buying. Check any suffix or revision information against the listing. Do not choose a replacement based only on appearance or width: a listing for one Samsung range’s glass cooktop assembly does not establish fitment for another model. Samsung parts information
A useful search phrase is “Samsung range glass cooktop assembly replacement,” followed by your full model code. Some repairs require replacing a cooktop assembly rather than fitting a loose sheet of glass. The exact part number, price, and stock cannot be determined without the model and current regional verification.

Choose a qualified repair path

Do not treat steps from another Samsung model’s service documentation as instructions for your appliance. For example, a third-party transcription of the CC70F30S2DAA electric-cooktop service manual describes turning off electrical supply, removing 12 screws, and lifting the top assembly. Samsung’s range installation and service overview addresses installing a new range; it should not be mistaken for a glass-top repair manual. If you are considering a DIY repair, proceed only with the service instructions for the exact model, appropriate tools, and relevant repair experience. Follow the model’s power-disconnection procedure, and ensure all panels and ground connections are correctly restored before the appliance is used. A new glass top does not necessarily fix a burner that stopped working or another cooktop fault. Have the technician check whether an element or another component is damaged as part of the diagnosis. Do not test the appliance while the glass is cracked or when wiring or internal parts are exposed. Return it to use only after the repair has been completed and the installation requirements for your exact model have been confirmed.
