To delete history on a Samsung Galaxy, first identify where it is saved: Samsung Browser and Chrome keep separate browsing histories, while Google Search history may be saved to your Google Account or kept as recent searches in the Google app. Clearing one does not automatically clear the others. Use the matching steps below for each place you want to clean up.
Choose the history you want to remove

Delete history in Samsung Browser
- Open Samsung Browser, which is called Samsung Internet in some support materials and versions.
- Tap More options (usually the three-dot menu), then tap Settings.
- Go to Personal browsing data > Delete browsing data.
- Select Browsing history. Add other data types only if you also want to remove them: cookies and site data, cached images and files, passwords, or autofill data.
- Tap Delete data, then tap Delete to confirm.
Some Samsung versions or regional guides use different labels or menu placement. If you do not see that route, check the browser settings for “Personal browsing data” or “Delete browsing data.” A Samsung Philippines guide documents a regional route through Menu > Settings > Privacy > Clear/Delete browsing data: Samsung Philippines support.
To remove only selected visited pages, open the browser’s history list, select the entries, and delete them. Samsung documents video playback history as a separate list with its own deletion action; deleting ordinary web history does not necessarily remove that list. Samsung Japan support
Clear browsing history in Chrome
- Open Chrome and tap More options (the three vertical dots).
- Tap Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
- Choose a time range and select the data types to remove.
- Tap Clear data.

Delete Google Search history saved to your account
- Open the Google app and tap your profile picture or initial.
- Tap Search history.
- Choose an individual query to delete, or tap Delete and choose an available option such as Delete all time, a custom range, or activity from a selected day.
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
Google says deleted Search history cannot be recovered. Its Android help page notes that Search settings are being updated, so the precise labels or layout may differ by account. If the documented route is not visible, use the privacy controls displayed in your current Google app. Google Search Help

On Android, Google documents this path: Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account > Data & privacy > Web & App Activity. From there, you can turn Web & App Activity off. Choosing Turn off and delete activity starts a separate flow to select and confirm activity to erase. Google Account Help

Google lists auto-delete periods of 3, 18, or 36 months for Search history. These are account-history retention settings, not a way to clear browsing history stored in Samsung Browser or Chrome. Samsung says Samsung Internet does not support automatic deletion of its own browsing history; that history must be removed manually. Google Search Help · Samsung Support

If history or suggestions still appear
- A visited page remains visible: Check the history in the browser you used. If you use both Samsung Browser and Chrome, clear both.
- A query appears in Google: Check Google app recent searches and Google Account Search history. These are separate from browser history.
- You searched while signed out: Google says searches made while signed out can be saved on the device, and browser history can remain even after account Search history is deleted.
- You used Samsung Browser Secret mode: Samsung says Secret mode history does not appear in the ordinary history list. The regular history screen therefore does not show every possible browsing record.
- You cleared cookies or site data: This can sign you out of websites. Samsung warns that you may need to log in again after clearing data.
