Steam does not document a native “remove all” control. The supported method is to remove unwanted games one at a time from the wishlist, using the Remove link beside each item’s date added. If that row control is missing or difficult to use, open the game’s store page, select the arrow beside On Wishlist, and choose Remove from wishlist. Browser extensions and console scripts reported by users may automate removals, but they are unofficial and their current compatibility and safety are not established.
What “bulk removal” means on Steam
A large wishlist can be cleared only through repeated item removals in Steam’s documented interface. The current Steam Support wishlist instructions describe a per-game workflow; they do not provide a checkbox selection mode, a multi-select toolbar, or a remove-all command. That means “bulk” is practical shorthand for processing many entries in succession, not a single supported operation that empties the list.
This distinction matters because several different actions can look similar in the interface. Removing a title deletes its wishlist entry. Ignoring a title changes the products Steam uses for recommendations and featured spots, but it is not a wishlist deletion. Unfollowing a game, hiding it from a library, or changing notification settings likewise does not clear the wishlist record.

1. Open your wishlist
Sign in to Steam and open the wishlist in either a desktop browser or the Steam client. Use the account that owns the wishlist you want to edit. A browser is often easier for a long list because the page provides more room for scanning entries, but the same per-item concept applies in the client.

2. Find an unwanted game
Review the list and decide which entries should remain. Work in small batches if you have hundreds of games: remove a visible group, allow the page to update, then continue. This reduces the chance of losing your place when the list reflows after an item disappears.
3. Select Remove beside the date added
On each wishlist row, locate the date the item was added. Steam’s documented control is a Remove link beside that date. Select it for the game you no longer want. The entry should disappear from the wishlist, leaving the remaining games in the list.
The control is an immediate list edit rather than a staged selection. If you are uncertain about a title, open its store page first and verify the game before removing it. The documented workflow does not describe a bulk undo or a recycle bin.

After removing several entries, refresh the wishlist or navigate away and return to it. Confirm that the unwanted rows are gone, then continue with the remaining items. Refreshing is useful when the page has been open for a long time or when entries appear to remain after a click.
Use the store page when the wishlist row has no Remove link
A game can remain associated with a wishlist even when its row is difficult to operate. Steam Support gives a second route through the game’s store page.

- Open the game’s Steam store page.
- Find the wishlist control, which is labeled On Wishlist when the title is currently saved.
- Select the arrow beside On Wishlist to open its menu.
- Choose Remove from wishlist.
- Return to the wishlist and refresh it to verify that the entry has disappeared.
This fallback is particularly useful when a row is hard to read, the list layout has changed, or the inline Remove link is not available. It still handles one product at a time; opening a store page does not create a multi-select operation.
What to do with a game that no longer has a normal store page
Delisted or otherwise unavailable products can be harder to reach through search. First, try the wishlist row itself and look again for Remove beside the added date. If the row has no usable control, use any remaining link from that wishlist entry to reach the product page and check the arrow beside On Wishlist.
If neither route exposes a removal command, do not substitute Ignore. Ignore is designed for discovery recommendations and featured spots, not for deleting the wishlist entry. Use Steam Support’s help flow for an entry that cannot be removed through the account interface. The support route is the documented escalation path when the controls fail.
Can you delete every game at once?
No remove-all button is documented for Steam’s wishlist. A Steam Community discussion titled “delete all games from wishlist,” posted on June 29, 2019, reports that the wishlist has “never had a remove all button” and describes clicking Remove for each game as the available native approach. In the same discussion, user Exiled Alchemist wrote: “Just go to the wishlist page, and click where it says ( remove ) on each of the listed games.” That is a community report, not a Valve feature announcement, but it matches Steam Support’s per-item instructions.
Steam’s interface can change, so a future client or website update could add different controls. Based on the documented workflow available on the Steam Support page accessed October 16, 2026, there is no supported multi-item deletion command to rely on.

Unofficial ways users try to speed up a large cleanup
Community posts mention browser extensions, including Enhanced Steam and Augmented Steam, as well as scripts run from a browser’s developer console. These tools are not official Steam features. The reports describe automation that sends removal requests for multiple entries, but they do not establish that a particular extension or script remains compatible with Steam’s current wishlist interface, nor do they establish its security.
Automation also changes the risk profile of the task. A script may run against the wrong page, stop partway through, or issue requests while your session is changing. An extension may have permissions that expose browsing data or account-related pages. Steam could also alter its interface or request handling, causing an old automation method to fail. Treat any tool that asks for your Steam password, a session cookie, or an external login as a significant warning sign; the supported workflow does not require giving those credentials to a third party.
If you still evaluate an unofficial method, use the following checks before running it:
- Read the tool’s source or publisher information rather than pasting an unknown script from a comment.
- Check when it was last maintained and whether it explicitly supports the current Steam web interface.
- Review the browser permissions requested by an extension.
- Test on a very small number of unwanted entries first.
- Keep the wishlist open in another tab or capture a personal list of titles you intend to retain.
- Stop immediately if the tool asks for your password, an authentication code, or a session token.
- Afterward, refresh Steam and verify the result manually.
There is no published compatibility or safety guarantee for these workarounds in the available sources. They should therefore be considered optional experiments, not a supported solution.

The table separates documented controls from user-reported automation. “Not stated” means the cited material does not provide a dependable value, not that the method is guaranteed to work.

Ignore is not the same as Remove from wishlist
Valve’s Steam Discovery documentation describes Ignore as an action that excludes a product from future recommendations and featured spots. It changes discovery behavior. It should not be presented as a way to erase the product from your wishlist.
Choose Ignore when you still want the wishlist record but do not want Steam to use that product for discovery suggestions. Choose Remove from wishlist when the saved entry itself is no longer wanted. If your goal is to clear the list, Ignore will not achieve it.

The Remove link is hard to find
Open the game’s store page and use the arrow beside On Wishlist, then select Remove from wishlist. Return to the list and refresh.
The row remains after clicking Remove
Refresh the wishlist. If the entry still appears, repeat the action once and verify that you are signed in to the correct Steam account. A stale page can show content that has already changed on the server.

Use the wishlist row’s own control if it is present. For a delisted or inaccessible product with no usable control, go through Steam Support rather than using Ignore as a substitute.

Several removals stop partway through
Pause and refresh before continuing. Work through a smaller batch and verify each result. If the official controls continue to fail, Steam Support is the appropriate escalation route; do not assume that an unofficial script is safe simply because it worked for another user.
You removed the wrong title
The documented material does not describe a wishlist undo history or bulk restore. Search for the game again and add it back if you still want it. Before a large cleanup, keep a personal note of titles that must remain so an accidental click is easier to correct.
A practical cleanup plan for a long wishlist
- Define the keep list. Decide which games you still expect to buy, play, or monitor before clicking anything.
- Start with obvious removals. Process titles you are certain you do not want; leave uncertain entries until the end.
- Use the row control first. Click Remove beside the added date for each confirmed unwanted game.
- Switch to the store page only when necessary. Use the On Wishlist arrow and Remove from wishlist menu for rows that lack a usable inline control.
- Verify batches. Refresh after a group of removals and confirm that the list contains only intended entries.
- Escalate exceptions. Send entries that cannot be removed through the official controls to Steam Support.
This approach takes longer than a hypothetical remove-all button, but it keeps every deletion visible and avoids granting an unofficial tool access to your Steam session.

When Steam Support should be your next step
Contact Steam Support when an entry remains after using both documented routes, when a delisted product has no usable row or store-page control, or when the wishlist page repeatedly fails to save changes. Describe the game, the account state you see, and the steps already attempted. Steam Support’s help flow is the official path for account-specific problems that the public controls do not resolve.
Do not send your Steam password, authentication codes, or session information to a community poster or automation author. Steam’s own per-item controls and support channel are the only methods established by the cited documentation.
