Remove a Netflix game through your phone’s normal app controls, not from inside Netflix. On Android, open the game’s Google Play listing and tap Uninstall; on iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the icon, choose Remove App and Delete App. Before deleting, establish whether the game uses cloud saves: cloud-backed progress can return when you reinstall it with the same Netflix profile, while a local-only save is permanently lost when the app or its data is removed.
What deleting a discontinued Netflix game actually does
Uninstalling a Netflix game removes the game application and its device-stored files. It does not cancel your Netflix subscription, delete your Netflix account, or remove the active profile. The action is performed by the operating system’s app store or deletion controls; Netflix is not the uninstall surface on Android.
A discontinued title adds uncertainty rather than a different deletion method. Netflix’s general help information does not define one rule for every delisted game: depending on the title, its store listing and the service state, a removed game might launch, might remain installed but fail authentication, or might no longer be available to reinstall. Therefore, treat removal and future access as separate decisions. You can safely remove the app from the device, but you should check the game’s save model first if the progress matters.

Check these points before you delete anything
Confirm that the game is really discontinued
A game missing from Netflix is not necessarily discontinued. Netflix identifies incompatible devices and profile maturity settings below the game’s rating as reasons a title may not appear. Check the operating system on the device and the maturity setting of the currently selected Netflix profile before assuming the listing has been removed.
If the game is absent from both Netflix and the relevant app store, there may be no supported reinstall path. Netflix does not publish a universal promise that every delisted title will continue to start, remain authenticated, or be downloadable after removal. The title’s store listing and current service state control what happens.
Identify the save type
Find out whether the game supports cloud saves before selecting Uninstall or Delete App. Netflix distinguishes between cloud-save games, which associate progress with a Netflix profile, and games that keep progress only on the original device.

Netflix’s warning is explicit: “Deleting a game will also permanently remove your game saves unless the game supports cloud saves.” If you cannot establish that cloud saving is supported, treat the save as local and assume deletion is irreversible.
Keep the correct profile available
Cloud progress is attached to a Netflix account profile, not simply to the device or the Netflix login in the abstract. Reinstall the game while signed in to the same profile that created the save. Netflix says there is no manual way to transfer game data to a different Netflix profile. Deleting the profile that holds a cloud save permanently removes that progress, and it cannot be restored.

Uninstall a Netflix game on Android
Android games supplied through Netflix are installed from Google Play. Use the Play Store listing for the game, even if the game was originally opened from a row inside the Netflix app.
- Open the Google Play Store on the Android device.
- Search for the Netflix game by its title.
- Open the game’s store listing. If the listing is still available, the page will show the app controls.
- Tap Uninstall.
- Confirm the removal when Android asks.
If the title no longer appears in Google Play, the store does not provide the normal listing-based uninstall button. In that situation, remove it from Android’s installed-app controls instead: open Settings, go to Apps (the label may be Apps Manager on an older device), select the game, and choose Uninstall if that option is offered. The essential distinction remains the same: uninstall through Android, not through an in-app Netflix menu.

Removing the Android app does not remove your Netflix account or profile. It only removes the app from that device, along with any local game data that Android deletes as part of the uninstall.
Delete a Netflix game on iPhone or iPad
On iOS or iPadOS, use the device’s Home Screen or App Library controls:
- Touch and hold the game icon.
- Tap Remove App.
- Tap Delete App.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Choosing Remove from Home Screen alone does not uninstall the game; it only hides the icon from the Home Screen. Select Delete App when you intend to remove the application and its local files. As on Android, this is a device action and does not delete the Netflix account or profile.

What happens to your game progress
Cloud-save games
For a game that supports cloud saves, Netflix says game progress is stored in your Netflix account profile. After deleting the app, downloading it again or playing it on a different device can let you pick up where you left off, provided you use the same profile and the title is still available and able to authenticate.
Cloud storage does not make the profile disposable. If you delete that profile, its saves are deleted and cannot be restored. Netflix also does not provide a manual export or transfer mechanism for moving a save to another profile.
Games with local-only saves
A local-only save exists on the original device and profile. Uninstalling the game, clearing its game data, or otherwise removing its local files permanently removes the progress. Reinstalling the app cannot recreate a deleted local save, and Netflix provides no manual way to move that data to another device or profile.
When the save model is unclear
Do not infer cloud support merely because the game is published through Netflix or because you are signed in to Netflix. The documented behavior depends on whether that particular title supports cloud saves. If the game’s help information does not confirm cloud saving, postpone deletion if the progress has value; local deletion cannot be reversed by changing a setting later.
Manage storage before and after removal
Understand where the storage is used
Netflix mobile games are downloaded from Google Play or the App Store and require enough free space on the device for installation. The game’s package and its local data consume device storage; on some Android configurations, downloaded Netflix content can also be stored on an SD card.

Deleting an app is different from deleting Netflix app data. Uninstalling the game targets the game. Clearing Netflix’s app data is a broader reset that Netflix warns will delete downloaded content on the device or SD card. Do not use Clear data as a generic storage-cleanup shortcut if you need to keep Netflix downloads.
Free space safely
- First remove the game through the Android or iOS procedure above.
- Check the device’s storage screen to verify that the app and its local files are gone.
- Keep the Netflix app’s downloaded shows or movies in place unless you deliberately want to remove them.
- If you need more space, identify the individual app or download responsible before clearing data; clearing Netflix data can remove downloaded content from the device or SD card.
There is no published universal storage figure for Netflix games in the supplied help information, so leave the amount recommended by the app store or device rather than relying on a single minimum number.

During installation, Android may show a permissions screen. On older devices, Netflix’s download troubleshooting path is:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps or Apps Manager.
- Select Netflix.
- Tap Permissions.
- Choose Storage and enable it when needed.
Menu names vary by Android version and manufacturer. This permission concerns Netflix’s ability to handle downloads; it is separate from uninstalling the game through Google Play. Enable it only when the installation or download flow requires it. After changing the permission, return to the Netflix or Play Store download flow and try again.

Do not confuse a denied storage permission with a discontinued title. Permission problems affect downloading or handling content on the device; a missing game can instead be caused by device incompatibility, a profile maturity restriction, or the title’s service state.

Why a Netflix game may be missing
The device is not compatible
Netflix lists incompatible devices as one reason a game may not appear. Check the device’s operating system and compatibility status before treating the absence as evidence of discontinuation. A title can be unavailable on one device while still listed for another supported configuration.
The active profile is restricted by maturity settings
Netflix also says a game may be hidden when the active profile’s maturity setting is below the game’s rating. Switch to an appropriate profile, if one is available to you, and check the title again. This changes which catalog items the profile can see; it does not alter save data stored under a different profile.
The title was delisted or its service changed
If the device is compatible and the profile can view the rating, the game may genuinely have been removed from distribution. Netflix’s general guidance does not promise a single outcome for all discontinued games. A particular title may remain installed, stop authenticating, continue to launch offline, or lose its reinstall option. The store listing and the game’s current service state determine the result.

The game is still installed but no longer appears in Netflix
Use the platform procedure rather than waiting for Netflix to show the game. On Android, locate the listing in Google Play or the installed game under Settings > Apps. On iPhone or iPad, use the icon’s Remove App > Delete App controls. The Netflix catalog is not required for the operating system to remove an installed app.
The store listing is gone
A missing listing can prevent a normal reinstall. Do not download an unofficial copy to work around the absence; the documented Netflix installation route is Google Play or the App Store. If the title has been withdrawn, whether an already installed copy still runs is title-specific and is not covered by one general Netflix rule.
The download fails after permission or storage changes
- Confirm that the device has enough available storage for the download.
- On an older Android device, follow Settings > Apps (or Apps Manager) > Netflix > Permissions > Storage and enable Storage when required.
- Check that you are using a profile whose maturity setting allows the game.
- Verify device compatibility and whether the game is still listed in the relevant app store.
- Avoid clearing Netflix app data unless you accept losing downloaded content on the device or SD card.
The game starts but the save is missing
First check that the same Netflix profile is active. A cloud save belongs to that profile; using another profile can make the game appear new. If the title uses local saves, uninstalling or clearing data has already removed the progress and there is no manual transfer or recovery method documented by Netflix.
A safe decision sequence for a discontinued title
- Check visibility: verify the device’s operating system, compatibility and the active profile’s maturity setting.
- Check the store: determine whether the game is still listed in Google Play or the App Store.
- Check saves: confirm cloud-save support for that title; otherwise assume the save is local.
- Protect the profile: keep the profile that owns a cloud save and do not delete it.
- Remove the app: use Google Play or Android app settings, or the iPhone/iPad deletion controls.
- Manage space carefully: do not clear Netflix app data merely to remove the game, because that can delete Netflix downloads on the device or SD card.
- Reinstall only if supported: use the official store listing and the same Netflix profile; a discontinued title may no longer be downloadable or authenticated.
This sequence separates reversible checks from irreversible actions. Visibility and compatibility can be investigated without deleting anything; removing a local save or its profile cannot be undone.
