To refresh the Weather app on your iPhone, open Weather and select My Location. If the current forecast still looks stale, check Weather’s location permission and your internet connection. Apple’s iPhone guide does not document a dedicated manual refresh button or promise a specific update interval.
Refresh the current-location forecast

Open the Weather app.

Open the location list and select My Location. If you want a forecast for somewhere else, choose that saved location instead.

Weather uses Location Services for a current-location forecast. Apple’s iOS 26 guide documents selecting My Location and checking location access, but does not specify a pull-to-refresh gesture or another manual refresh control. Apple’s iPhone Weather guide

Check Weather’s location access

Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

Location Services can use cellular, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth information. Location-based information may be unavailable, inaccurate, or incomplete when data services are unavailable or vary by area. Apple’s explanation of Location Services
Check connectivity and use a saved location
Confirm that your iPhone can access the internet. If current-location detection still is not giving you a useful result, search for a city or neighborhood in Weather and add it to your location list. A saved city is selected directly rather than relying on the phone to identify where you are. Apple says saved locations stay up to date across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Understand Background App Refresh
Background App Refresh lets suspended apps check for updates and new content; it is not documented as a command that forces Weather to refresh immediately. Avoid quitting Weather as a refresh tactic: Apple notes that quitting an app in the app switcher may prevent it from checking for new content before you open it again. A missing severe-weather alert or specialized data feature does not necessarily mean the basic forecast failed to refresh. Some Weather features—including severe weather alerts, air quality, next-hour precipitation, and news—are not available in every country or region.
