For the documented USDC route, bridge Arbitrum USDC through Hyperliquid’s live Deposit flow, keep Arbitrum ETH available for gas, and verify the asset, network, and destination before approving the wallet transaction. A wrong token or network can make a deposit fail, and recovery is not assured.
Use the documented USDC route deliberately
Hyperliquid’s onboarding guide describes its native USDC path between Arbitrum and Hyperliquid. You need USDC on Arbitrum and ETH on Arbitrum to pay the deposit transaction’s gas; Hyperliquid says trading itself does not require gas. Start the deposit in the official trading interface rather than using a deposit address copied from an old article, message, or transaction.
Hyperliquid also names Arbitrum Bridge, deBridge, Mayan, Across, Router Nitro, Jumper, Synapse, and Relay as ways to move funds to Arbitrum, and says funds can alternatively come directly from a centralized exchange. This is a list of possible routes, not a comparative endorsement. Availability and terms can change, so check that a route currently supports your origin network and token, and inspect the route, destination, fee, and estimated completion time it displays before proceeding. - Open the current Deposit flow. Use the official Hyperliquid interface and select Deposit. Follow the instructions shown there; do not rely on a saved address without checking it against the live flow.
- Match token and network. For the documented USDC route, confirm that the token is USDC and the network is Arbitrum. A token with the same name on another chain is not necessarily the same deposit route.
- Leave enough Arbitrum ETH for gas. The deposit requires ETH on Arbitrum to submit the USDC transaction. Do not send all available ETH elsewhere if you still need to make the deposit.
- Review the wallet prompt. Before signing, compare the transaction details and destination shown by the wallet with the live deposit flow. If the asset, chain, or destination does not match, stop rather than approving. The cited instructions establish the asset and network checks but do not provide a universal wallet-specific signing checklist.
- Consider a small test transfer. A test can limit exposure to a mistaken setup, but only use one when route fees and minimums make it sensible; it is a general precaution, not a Hyperliquid requirement.
- Keep the transaction hash and check status. After submission, use the interface’s status and transaction details to verify the amount, asset, and network. A wallet confirmation alone does not establish that the deposit has completed.
Do not confuse an internal Send with a withdrawal
Hyperliquid’s Send action transfers funds to another account on the Hyperliquid blockchain; it is not a withdrawal to another blockchain. To move funds out, use Withdrawal. If a withdrawal is pending
Compare the status with the estimate shown in the withdrawal modal and allow for possible network congestion. Hyperliquid’s API documentation describes a $1 fee and approximately five minutes for finalization “at the time of this writing”; those are documentation values, not guarantees, so use the current modal and status rather than assuming the amount or timing is unchanged. If a withdrawal is marked complete
Open the linked explorer entry and check the destination address. Compare it with the intended recipient rather than treating a completed status as proof that funds reached the wallet you meant to use.

Wrong-network transfers can be difficult or impossible to recover
Hyperliquid’s Ethereum deposit support page says its Ethereum address can receive only ETH or ENA on Ethereum. It gives USDC on Ethereum and ETH on Arbitrum as examples of transfers that fail. Some mistaken transfers may be eligible for a Unit revert feature, but the page cautions that unsupported assets or chains may not currently be recoverable. That page lists minimums of 0.007 ETH and 120 ENA for its Ethereum deposit flow and says deposits below those amounts result in loss. Those figures apply to that Ethereum flow only; they are not minimums for the Arbitrum USDC route.

Protect the wallet and its recovery phrase
Hyperliquid warns that anyone with access to a wallet password or seed phrase can access the funds, and recommends keeping the seed phrase in a safe physical location. Never share it or enter it in response to a message claiming to provide deposit or recovery help. A hardware wallet is an optional way to hold keys offline, but it does not prevent a wrong-network transfer or make an unsafe transaction approval safe. Hyperliquid wallet and onboarding guidance
If you suspect the wallet is compromised
Hyperliquid identifies unauthorized transactions, missing funds, or an unknown multisig as possible signs of compromise. Its support guidance is to stop using the address, treat it as unsafe, create a new wallet with a trusted provider, and move remaining funds—including applicable HyperEVM assets—to the new address. Moving funds from a compromised address can itself carry risk, and these steps are not a promise that lost funds can be recovered. Hyperliquid security support guidance

Understand what the bridge audit does—and does not—show
Hyperliquid’s audit index lists an audit of the bridge contract by Zellic and links to two reports. That establishes that the listed contract was audited; it does not prove that funds cannot be lost, that deployed code has no defects, that every later change is covered, or that a third-party route has been audited.
