The Railyard Nomad Camp is underground beneath the Railyard on Pendola Pass. Approach from the Railyard’s west or southwest side, find the walk-in drainage pipe or underground passage beside the Transit Tunnel and the tracks descending underground, and follow it to the camp’s raised metal catwalks. At the central junction, search the yellow bag for the Equatorial Sundial.
“Safely” means reducing your exposure, not following a risk-free route. Current walkthroughs describe the Railyard as a high-traffic area where other players and ARC units may be present. Keep an inventory slot open, place the Sundial in a Safe Pocket when your augment provides one, and check the area before stopping to search or interact.
Quick route to the Nomad Camp
- Travel to Pendola Pass with the Clean Hands quest active.
- Use the Railyard’s western or southwestern edge rather than crossing its busiest central approaches.
- Locate the drainage pipe or underground passage between the Railyard and the Transit Tunnel, close to the train tracks that descend underground.
- Enter the passage. The camp is below the Railyard, not in the visible yard itself.
- Move onto the raised catwalks, follow the walkway to its central junction, and look for a yellow bag. Barrels and blue-tarp-covered crates are useful visual references nearby.
- Take the Equatorial Sundial, put it in a Safe Pocket if you have one, and confirm that the quest marker updates.
- Continue to Old Town, reach the church tower using the spiral stairs and zipline, interact at the tower railing, then extract from Pendola Pass.
The entrance descriptions vary slightly between current guides, but they agree on the broad western approach and the underground access near the Transit Tunnel. No verified coordinate is established, so use the live map, geometry, and quest marker if a prop is not in exactly the described position.

Prepare before entering Pendola Pass
Activate the correct objective
Make sure Clean Hands is selected before you enter the area. The quest marker should update when you reach the Nomad Camp, which gives you a useful confirmation that you have entered the intended location. If the marker does not change, do not assume that any random tunnel or depot room is the target; recheck your position against the Railyard, Transit Tunnel, and descending tracks.

Leave room for the Sundial
Keep at least one inventory slot free before approaching the bag. AllThingsHow specifically advises leaving space for the item. A full inventory can turn a successful search into a delayed decision while you are exposed on the catwalks.
Use a Safe Pocket when available
If your current augment provides a Safe Pocket, plan to place the Equatorial Sundial there immediately after picking it up. PC Gamer, AllThingsHow, and GamesRadar+ all identify this as the preferred way to protect the quest item during the extraction leg. A Safe Pocket is not universal equipment, so do not assume every loadout has one.
Plan for a contested area
Bring the equipment you normally need to move through a high-traffic extraction zone, but do not treat the published route as a guarantee that the camp will be empty. Other players can reach the same entrance, and ARC conditions can change from raid to raid. The Railyard’s central position makes awareness more valuable than a perfectly memorized landmark.
Where the Railyard Nomad Camp is located
The Nomad Camp sits beneath the Railyard on Pendola Pass. The Railyard is described as a central map area, while the practical entrance is on its western or southwestern side. You are looking for an opening that leads below the yard, not a conventional building door marked with the camp’s name.
The western drainage-pipe approach
Several walkthroughs describe a walk-in drainage pipe or passage between the Railyard and the Transit Tunnel. Stay near the train tracks that descend underground and inspect the western side of that connection. The wording differs—some guides emphasize drainage pipes, while others call it an underground passage—but the intended route is the same general approach.
The southwestern side and Transit Tunnel relationship
Use the Transit Tunnel as your orientation point. If the Railyard is in front of you, work around its west or southwest perimeter until the tunnel and descending tracks are nearby. The exact angle can look different depending on your approach and the live layout, so prioritize the physical opening and the quest marker over a fixed compass instruction.

What you should see inside
The target area is reached on raised metal catwalks. After entering the underground route, search above the ground-floor level rather than stopping in the first depot-like room. Near the camp’s central junction, guides mention barrels and crates covered with blue tarps. These props can help you recognize the area, but they are landmarks rather than guaranteed coordinates.
Step-by-step route from the Railyard to the yellow bag
1. Approach from the west or southwest
As you near the Railyard, avoid committing to a straight crossing through the most visible central lanes. Circle toward the west or southwest edge and keep the Transit Tunnel and the descending tracks in mind. This positioning gives you the best chance of finding the intended underground entrance without spending unnecessary time in the open yard.
2. Scan before you commit
Pause far enough from the opening to check the surrounding lanes, rooflines, catwalk sightlines, and nearby cover. The camp itself is below ground, but players may watch the approach from the Railyard. AllThingsHow also notes that the Railyard draws many players. This scan is a practical exposure-reduction step, not a guarantee that the route is clear.
3. Find the pipe or passage near the tracks
Look for the walk-in drainage pipe or underground passage located between the Railyard and Transit Tunnel. The most reliable combination of clues is the tunnel’s proximity, the tracks descending underground, and an opening large enough to enter on foot. If you find a passage that does not lead toward the camp’s lower structures, back out and continue along the western or southwestern edge rather than forcing the wrong route.
4. Consider the depot-floor alternative
AllThingsHow describes an alternate approach through the ground-floor depot. This is useful if the pipe is difficult to spot or your approach naturally places you at the depot. Once inside, do not assume the first floor is the destination. The Nomad Camp is on raised catwalks, so look upward and follow the elevated walkways toward the central junction.

After the passage opens into the camp area, climb or move onto the metal catwalks and stay on the elevated route. The camp is not identified by a single universally documented room number or coordinate. Use the walkway layout, the central junction, and the nearby barrels or blue-tarp-covered crates to confirm that you are in the right section.

6. Search the central junction
Follow the walkway toward its central junction. The objective container is a yellow bag. Search it deliberately rather than opening every nearby container while exposed. If you reach a junction with no yellow bag, check the adjoining catwalks and the elevation around the junction; the guides agree on the camp and item but do not establish an exact coordinate for the bag.
7. Secure the Equatorial Sundial
Take the Equatorial Sundial from the yellow bag. If your augment includes a Safe Pocket, move the item into it immediately. Keep your character moving or use nearby cover while completing the inventory action, because the catwalks can leave you visible to other players or ARC units.
8. Confirm the quest state
The quest marker should update when you reach and search the camp. Verify the update before leaving if the surroundings allow it. If the marker remains unchanged, compare your position with the underground Railyard location and check that you actually searched the yellow bag rather than a nearby container.

No route to this camp is guaranteed safe. The following practices address the specific hazards described by current walkthroughs without promising that an encounter will not occur.
Watch for players at the approach
The Railyard is characterized as a high-traffic area. Approach from the west or southwest, use the tunnel-and-track relationship to navigate efficiently, and avoid lingering in open lanes after you have identified the entrance. If you hear movement or see another player using the same access, consider waiting in cover or taking the depot-floor alternative rather than contesting the opening immediately.
Check for ARC activity
PC Gamer advises checking the nearby area before approaching when an Arc Frigate is present. That is situational advice from one guide, not a universal rule that every Arc Frigate blocks the route. Treat its presence as a reason to reassess timing, cover, and the availability of another path.

Do not search in the most exposed position
The yellow bag is on the raised catwalk route, so the search itself can be more dangerous than the walk to the camp. Reach the central junction, inspect your surroundings, and only then interact. If you need to open your inventory to move the Sundial into a Safe Pocket, do so from the best cover available rather than in the middle of an exposed railing.
Expect the church interaction to be exposed too
The Railyard is not the only risky section of the objective. AllThingsHow notes flying ARC around the church approach and warns that the railing interaction leaves the player exposed. Keep that in mind when deciding whether to head directly to Old Town after securing the Sundial or to wait for a safer opening.

These are route descriptions, not separate destinations. All three lead toward the same underground Nomad Camp beneath the Railyard. Because no reviewed guide supplies verified numerical coordinates, a landmark that is a few metres from the written description does not necessarily indicate a changed quest; trust the live geometry and marker.

Travel to Old Town
Once the camp objective registers, the walkthroughs direct you to Old Town and its church tower. The next interaction is above ground, so the route changes from underground catwalk navigation to a more exposed climb and traversal segment.
Reach the church tower
Use the church’s spiral stairs to climb, then take the zipline to continue toward the tower area. The objective is not complete merely because you arrive at the church. You must reach the tower railing and interact there to display the Equatorial Sundial.

Handle the railing interaction carefully
The railing interaction can leave you exposed, and AllThingsHow describes flying ARC around the church approach. Check the approach before starting the interaction and avoid beginning it while an immediate threat is moving through the area. The item should remain secured in a Safe Pocket when your loadout supports one.

Extract from Pendola Pass
After displaying the Sundial, extract from Pendola Pass. The guides use slightly different names for the final interaction: PC Gamer describes activating a gondola console, while AllThingsHow calls the relevant point a radio beacon and describes boarding the gondola. Follow the active in-game extraction marker and the object presented by your current build rather than searching for a label from a different guide.
Troubleshooting route and objective problems
You cannot find the entrance
- Return to the Railyard’s western or southwestern perimeter.
- Use the Transit Tunnel and descending tracks as a pair of orientation clues.
- Inspect for a walk-in drainage pipe or passage between the Railyard and tunnel.
- If the depot is easier to reach, enter at ground level and search for the raised catwalks above.
Do not expect a published coordinate to solve the problem; none of the reviewed walkthroughs establishes one.
You entered the depot but see no camp
The depot-floor route is only an alternate entrance. The Nomad Camp is reached on elevated catwalks. Look above the first floor, follow the walkways toward their central junction, and use the barrels or blue-tarp-covered crates as supporting landmarks.

The yellow bag is missing
Check that you are in the underground camp beneath the Railyard rather than another depot room. Revisit the central junction and adjoining catwalks, and search for the yellow bag rather than assuming every yellow container is the objective. Prop placement can vary enough that barrels and tarps should guide your search, not replace the quest marker.
The quest marker does not update
Confirm that Clean Hands is active, that you reached the camp below the Railyard, and that you searched the yellow bag. If a written landmark conflicts with what is visible in the live layout, trust the in-game layout and marker. Quest names, map geometry, item placement, ARC behavior, and extraction mechanics can change with updates.
Your inventory is full
Before searching again, create space in your inventory. The Sundial needs a slot, and a full inventory can prevent a clean pickup. Once collected, move it to a Safe Pocket if your augment provides one before beginning the exposed trip to Old Town.
An Arc Frigate or other ARC activity blocks the approach
There is no universal rule that an Arc Frigate makes the route impossible. Treat its presence as a timing and exposure decision: observe from cover, wait for a safer opening if practical, or use the alternate depot approach when it offers a better line of movement. The same caution applies to flying ARC near the church tower.

PC Gamer’s walkthrough, published October 8, 2026, AllThingsHow’s guide updated October 9, 2026, and the current GamesRadar+ guide converge on the core route: the camp is underground beneath the Railyard on Pendola Pass; the western or southwestern side near the Transit Tunnel and descending tracks is the correct approach; the yellow bag on the raised catwalks contains the Equatorial Sundial; and Clean Hands continues through the Old Town church tower before extraction.
They do not establish a guaranteed-safe path, a fixed encounter probability, a route completion time, or verified numerical coordinates. Their landmark wording differs, especially around whether the entrance is called a drainage pipe or passage and whether the final extraction object is labelled a gondola console or radio beacon. Use those descriptions as orientation help, while treating the live map, quest marker, and current game behavior as authoritative.
