To reach the rival region in Aion 2, enter an active Spacetime Rift on your own faction’s side: Asmodians travel from Altgard to Elyos Verteron, while Elyos travel from Verteron to Altgard. The crossing is temporary, and the live map marker—not a static location guide—shows which entrance is open.
Which rift should you use?
| Your faction | Start region | Destination | Rift to enter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asmodian | Altgard | Verteron, Elyos territory | An active Spacetime Rift shown on the Altgard side |
| Elyos | Verteron | Altgard, Asmodian territory | An active Spacetime Rift shown on the Verteron side |
Use a rift in your own faction’s region; guides say you cannot enter one that belongs to the opposing faction. The October 2026 guides report a level 45 access requirement. Check the current client in case a patch has changed the gate.
How to find and enter an open rift
- Watch for the in-game opening announcement. Guides report that the server announces when a rift opens. Treat the announcement and current map as your source of truth, rather than assuming a particular portal is active.
- Open the map and inspect the active marker. Find the rift marker for your faction’s region and check its details. A timer or reference map cannot establish that a portal is open at this moment.
- Travel to the entrance promptly. The Space4Games guide dated October 4, 2026, reports that the entrance remains open for only a few minutes. It recommends teleporting to a nearby Kibelisk on your side, then running or flying to the marked location. Map “Travel” may only start automatic pathing.
- Interact with the rift. Enter while it is available; the opening window is time-limited.
When do Spacetime Rifts open?
Secondary guides describe a recurring three-hour cycle, but their schedule details do not line up consistently enough to promise a universal local opening time. Space4Games listed UTC opportunities at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, and 21:00 in its October 4, 2026 guide. Server clock, region, version, or later updates may affect what a player sees, so use the in-game announcement and map to catch the actual opening.
Do not confuse the rift’s brief entry window with the time you can remain in enemy territory. The same guide reports a one-hour stay after crossing, with Duration Tickets able to extend it; check the current client for the applicable rules.

What to plan for after crossing
Plan your route before entering. The guide reports that fast travel via Kibelisks is unavailable in the enemy region, so expect to travel on foot, by flight, or by mount. Group nearby objectives together to make better use of the temporary visit.
Enemy territory can also involve PvP and return-home risks. Space4Games describes guarded rival Kibelisks and warns that death or certain interactions can affect a visit; those details are guide-reported mechanics and may change, so avoid relying on them without checking the current game behavior.

Why fixed portal coordinates can mislead
AION2RIFT lists nine Verteron and ten Altgard reference points based on Taiwan map material, checked October 5–7, 2026. The site cautions that these are not live active portals or confirmed Global routes; some area labels are inferred, and at least one Altgard point may be inaccurate. Use such points only to recognize terrain. At the time you travel, follow the active marker shown by your client.

It is not established here as a dependable route; use the faction-side active rift unless the current game or official guidance confirms another method.
