Never give your Aion 2 password or phone verification code to anyone who asks for it. The official AION 2 safety notice says that staff will not proactively request either one. Treat an unsolicited request as suspicious, stop communicating, and open the official support site yourself rather than using the requester’s link.
Account protection also depends on keeping third-party services out of your login, maintaining your password and verification settings, and checking the NC account that owns your character before changing a Steam link. The exact security options and recovery process can vary by region and login method.
The rule that stops most account-theft attempts
AION 2’s official safety notice gives a simple rule: do not provide your account name, password, or mobile verification code to another person. It specifically says official personnel will not proactively ask players for passwords or verification codes. The notice, dated June 17, 2026, is published by AION2 Official in Chinese; its English rendering is: Official personnel will not proactively ask players for account passwords or verification codes. This applies even when the request appears urgent, arrives through a game chat, or comes from someone claiming to be a game master, moderator, payment agent, booster, or customer-service representative. A legitimate support interaction should be initiated through an official route that you open independently. Do not prove ownership by sending a password, one-time code, screenshot containing a code, or remote-access session.

What to do when someone asks for a credential
- Stop replying and do not click links or open attachments in the message.
- Do not send the password, phone code, recovery information, payment details, or a screenshot of an authentication screen.
- Close the conversation and navigate to the official AION 2 or NC support site using a bookmark or an address you type yourself.
- Use the support portal’s account or security category to report the interaction or ask whether your account needs attention.
- If you entered information on a suspicious page, change the password through the official site and contact support promptly.
A practical account-security checklist
Complete these checks on the NC account used to access Aion 2. Labels can differ between regions and login methods, so use the settings available to your account rather than assuming every NC feature appears in every AION 2 service.
- Use a password that is unique to the NC account. Do not reuse the same password on email, social media, or another game.
- Keep the password private, including from friends, guild members, boosters, account operators, and payment intermediaries.
- Keep every phone verification code private. A code is an authentication credential, not proof that someone is entitled to access your account.
- Change the password periodically, as recommended in the official safety notice. The notice does not prescribe a fixed number of days or months.
- Review linked devices and verification information when those controls are available.
- Check the email address and phone number associated with the account for unexpected changes.
- Use only official NC, AION 2, or regional support pages for sign-in and recovery.
- Before changing a Steam connection, confirm which NC account contains the character you want to keep.
How phishing and impersonation target Aion 2 players
Phishing is an attempt to make you enter credentials or verification information into a page or conversation controlled by someone else. The page may imitate a sign-in screen; the message may claim that your character will be suspended, that a reward is waiting, or that support must verify ownership. You do not need to identify the exact scam to stay safe: an unsolicited request for a password or code is enough reason to refuse.
The AION 2 operation rules list phishing-site promotion and impersonation of GMs or company employees as prohibited conduct. They also warn that accounts that are bought, sold, shared, or stolen may be investigated and penalized. See the AION 2 Global Operation Policy for the applicable policy language.

Warning signs in a message or website
- The sender asks for your password, phone code, or a complete set of recovery details.
- The message creates artificial urgency, such as a threat of immediate suspension or a demand to act within minutes.
- The sender directs you to a login page through a shortened, misspelled, or unexpected address.
- The request comes from a third-party service offering boosting, account operation, payment handling, or an account-related shortcut.
- The sender asks you to install software, share your screen, or hand over remote control.
- The page asks for more information than the normal sign-in or support process requires.
Do not rely on a logo, display name, profile image, or a message that contains details about your character. Those details can be copied or obtained without proving that the requester is official.

Open the official route yourself
When you need help, type or use a saved bookmark for the known NC/AION 2 address. The AION 2 Global support portal provides an Account/Security category and an inquiry path. Other regions may use different portals and labels. If a message sends you to a support page, leave the message and reach the portal independently before signing in.
Why third-party account services are risky
The AION 2 safety notice specifically says not to share account information with third-party services, including boosting, account-operation, and payment services. A service that asks for your login can read private account information, intercept verification prompts, change settings, or retain access after the advertised task is finished.
Account sharing also creates a policy risk separate from technical theft. The operation policy warns that bought, sold, shared, or stolen accounts may be investigated and penalized. That means giving a login to a trusted acquaintance is not a safe exception: you may lose control of the account and still be responsible for activity performed through it.

- For gameplay assistance, use in-game or official community resources that do not require your password.
- For payment questions, start from the official account or support portal and keep transaction information within that channel.
- For character or platform-link problems, contact support without giving another person access to the account.
- If a service promises to recover an account only after receiving a code, treat that promise as a phishing attempt.
Verification services: what NC describes and what it does not confirm
NC’s general Security Services page describes two options: an OTP service using Google Authenticator and a security-card service. The page says SMS verification is needed to use the security services. It is general NC guidance, not a statement that every option is available for every AION 2 region, account type, or login method.

Check your region’s official account settings before enrolling or changing a method. Do not assume that a feature shown on the general NC page is automatically enabled for your AION 2 service. The reviewed NC material does not establish support for a hardware security key or other authenticator beyond the options it names, so do not buy a device on the assumption that it will work.
Protecting verification codes
A verification code is temporary, but it still grants access during its validity period. Enter it only into the official sign-in or account page that you opened yourself. Never read it aloud to a caller, paste it into chat, forward it by email, or send a screenshot that exposes it. If a code arrives when you are not signing in, do not approve the attempt; investigate through the official account route.
Check the NC account before changing Steam links
A Steam-link change can look like an account-security fix but can instead make your character appear to disappear. AION 2 Global support states that character and game data remain associated with the NC account used when the character was created. Unlinking Steam and linking it to a different NC account does not move the character or its data. The support article, dated October 1, 2026, is titled After unlinking Steam and linking a different account, I can’t see my game character.

Before you unlink or relink
- Sign in to the NC account currently used with the character.
- Confirm the character and game data are present on that account.
- Record the account identifier and the Steam account currently associated with it, without sharing credentials.
- Read the current regional support instructions for unlinking or relinking.
- Do not link Steam to another NC account as a test. The character will not migrate to that account.
If the character is missing after a link change, stop making additional changes. Contact the appropriate regional support team and explain which NC account originally held the character and what link change occurred.

Resolve an NC and PLAYNC account conflict carefully
Some login failures are account-identity conflicts rather than a stolen password. AION 2 Global support explains that NC and PLAYNC are separate account types. Using the same email address for both can create an account conflict that blocks access.
The official solution is a conflict-check and email-change flow, not random changes to Steam or other platform links. Follow Recommended Account Conflict Solutions, dated September 15, 2026, and use the instructions for your account state.
When the conflict flow is appropriate
- You can authenticate but are sent to the wrong account or service.
- The same email appears to be attached to separate NC and PLAYNC identities.
- A login error persists even though you are using the expected credentials.
Do not create additional accounts or relink Steam while diagnosing the conflict. Keep a written record of which email and account type you used, but never include your password or verification code in that record.

What to do if you may have entered credentials on a phishing page
Act quickly, but use only independently opened official pages. The exact recovery sequence differs by region and login path; the available official material does not establish one universal compromise-recovery checklist for every AION 2 player.

- Close the suspicious page and stop communicating with the requester.
- Open the official NC/AION 2 account page yourself and change the password to a new, unique value.
- Review linked devices, verification information, email, and phone details for changes you did not make.
- Check for unfamiliar sessions or account activity where your regional settings expose that information.
- Secure the email account associated with NC as well, because control of that mailbox can be used to reset a game account.
- Use the official support portal’s Account/Security category and inquiry path to report suspected compromise.
- Tell support what happened, when it happened, and which account or platform was involved, without sending the exposed password or code.
If you cannot sign in, do not keep trying links supplied by the person who contacted you. Start at the official support portal and select the recovery or account-security route available for your region. Support instructions may differ between AION 2 Global and other regional services.
Build a low-effort security routine
Account security works best as a routine rather than a response to a suspicious message.
At every sign-in
- Check that you opened the site yourself and that the address is the expected official one.
- Pause if a message, pop-up, or caller is pressuring you to act immediately.
- Enter the password and code only into the sign-in flow you initiated.
After account changes
- Review linked devices and verification information.
- Confirm that your email and phone details are still yours.
- Keep the NC account and Steam relationship documented privately so you know which account owns the character.
Periodically
- Change the NC password, following the safety notice’s recommendation without treating any particular interval as an official requirement.
- Remove access you no longer recognize or use, where the account settings provide that control.
- Review the current regional security settings instead of relying on an old guide or a feature from another NC service.
A password manager can help you create and store distinct passwords as a general security practice. It is optional and is not an NC endorsement; the essential rule remains that you never disclose the password or verification code to another person.

Where to get official help
For AION 2 Global, begin at the official support portal and choose Account/Security or the inquiry path offered there. The portal is the appropriate starting point for suspected compromise, account-access trouble, and questions about platform links.
Use the regional support service associated with your actual AION 2 edition and login method. A general NC security page, a Global support article, or a notice for another region may describe different options. If a support page asks you to authenticate, reach it through your own bookmark or typed address, not through an unsolicited message.
