Use the stand and instructions supplied for your exact Nendoroid, seat both support-arm plugs fully, and adjust any loose joint only as the manual directs. Nendoroid stand parts and designs vary, so no single setup or replacement is guaranteed to fit every figure.
Start with the manual for your specific figure
Check the instruction sheet for the exact Nendoroid before assembling or adjusting its stand. The manuals show how that model’s support arm and base fit together; they should not be treated as universal instructions. One official manual, for example, says the figure does not stand on its own. Good Smile’s Hitori Gotoh Maid Ver. [Basic] handling instructions illustrate why it is worth checking rather than assuming.
Good Smile announced a gradual change to support-arm and base specifications on November 12, 2024. The revised base is 5.3 mm thick, compared with 8 mm for the earlier version, and has eight arm holes instead of thirteen. The updated support arm adds a rotation axis and a slit intended to make assembly and posing easier. Because the change is gradual, older and newer parts may be mixed among figures and rereleases. - Identify the parts and holes. Use the figure’s own manual to confirm which base and support arm came with it and which holes the model uses.
- Insert the wide plug into the base. Manuals reviewed show the support arm’s wide plug fitting into the base. Some bases provide multiple holes for positioning; follow the locations shown for your figure.
- Connect the thin plug to the figure. Insert it into the Nendoroid’s designated hole as directed by the manual. Do not assume a particular hole or arm position applies to other models.
- Check the assembled support. Confirm that the plugs are seated and that the figure is supported as shown in its instructions before leaving it on display.
Good Smile’s Nendoroid Nico Wakatsuki [Basic] handling instructions show the wide plug entering the base and the thin plug entering the figure, as well as the option to use different base holes. Use that as an example of the fitting method, not a substitute for your own model’s manual.

Adjust a loose support-arm joint carefully
If the joint is loose, adjust it with a cross-head screwdriver only if—and in the way—the figure’s manual specifies. Tighten cautiously and stop before the screw is overtightened: Good Smile warns that overtightening can damage the support arm. Its Kotono Shiunji [Basic] handling instructions give that warning. Do not force a joint that resists adjustment.
If the stand is broken or missing
Good Smile says it does not sell replacement parts and does not offer repair service. Its support guidance names substitute products for certain broken stands or joints, but suitability depends on the figure’s design. Read Good Smile’s answer about lost or broken parts.

Nendoroid Easel Stand
Good Smile lists the Nendoroid Easel Stand as an alternative for some broken Nendoroid stands. The company cautions that it may not attach to figures with certain designs, so check the fit for your model before relying on it.
The Simple Stand mini x4
Good Smile describes The Simple Stand mini x4 as suitable for Nendoroid figures. Its product page specifies a 3 mm pin for corresponding holes and includes additional Nendoroid attachment parts. That description does not establish that it fits every Nendoroid; verify the connection against the particular figure.

What can—and cannot—be guaranteed
Correct assembly and cautious adjustment follow the manufacturer’s guidance, but Good Smile’s published instructions do not provide a universal best pose, a load rating, or a tested method that guarantees a figure will not fall. They also do not establish a universal compatibility list for replacement stands. Follow the model-specific manual and treat any replacement option as a fit to confirm, not a guaranteed match.
