Yes. The unofficial WWE All Stars Recompilation project can run the Xbox 360 edition as a Windows program by translating the game’s PowerPC code to x86-64 ahead of time. You must provide your own Xbox 360 disc image from the USA or Europe release and your own dump of Title Update 2; the project download does not include the game.
This is different from loading the disc in an emulator. The launcher copies the required files from your image, prepares a native Vulkan renderer and builds shaders and graphics pipelines on first setup. The project reports playable single-player modes, four-player local play and experimental online Player Match, but Ranked Match, leaderboards and the in-game store are not supported.
What the Xbox 360 static recompilation does
WWE All Stars was released for Xbox 360 in 2011. The recompilation project is an unofficial Windows port built around ReXGlue. Instead of simulating an entire Xbox 360 while the game is running, it translates the game’s PowerPC instructions to x86-64 before execution. The project FAQ describes the result this way: “The game’s code was translated to x86-64 ahead of time and runs as a Windows program.”
The project also supplies a native Vulkan renderer for the game’s Direct3D 9 calls. Its launcher does not accept an Xbox 360 disc as a directly playable medium and does not contain copyrighted game data. It reads the image and update files you supply, verifies them and copies the needed data into the installation folder.

The architectural difference does not by itself prove that one option is faster or more accurate in every situation. Choose the recompilation when you want this game’s dedicated Windows build and its PC-specific settings; choose an emulator when you need a general Xbox 360 compatibility layer.
What you need before installing

Title Update 2 is not an optional compatibility patch. According to the project documentation, the unupdated disc build disables DLC loading, while Title Update 2 enables DLC and is the version on which the recompilation is based.
Prepare your game files lawfully
You need access to your own Xbox 360 copy and console-created dumps. The project repository and releases contain no game files and do not link to game downloads. A used physical copy of WWE All Stars for Xbox 360 is useful only as the source for creating your local image; placing the disc in a Windows drive will not make the PC build run by itself.

- Create or obtain an Xbox 360 ISO from your own USA or Europe disc.
- Dump Title Update 2 from your own console.
- If you own DLC, dump those packs from the same console and keep them available for the launcher’s optional DLC field.
- Keep the ISO, update and DLC files private. The project specifically says not to share the
gamedataorupdatedatafolders, disc image, update or DLC packs.
Those are the project’s file-handling instructions, not a statement of the law in every country. Copyright and personal-copy rules differ by jurisdiction, so follow the rules where you live.

Install and configure the Windows build
- Download the current Windows x64 release. Use the project’s official Releases page and download its Windows x64 ZIP. Avoid third-party repacks that bundle game data.
- Extract the archive. Choose a normal writable folder such as
C:GamesWWEAllStars. Do not launch the executable from inside the ZIP. The README advises avoidingProgram Files, where Windows permissions can interfere with generated files. - Start the launcher. Run
WWEAllStarsLauncher.exefrom the extracted folder. Because the launcher is unsigned, Windows SmartScreen may warn on first launch. Confirm the file’s provenance before making any decision; do not disable Windows security broadly or bypass a warning for an untrusted copy. - Select the Xbox 360 ISO. In the launcher, browse to the USA or Europe image made from your own disc.
- Select Title Update 2. Browse to your console dump of Title Update 2. Using the base disc without this update can prevent DLC loading and does not match the version targeted by the project.
- Add DLC only if you have your own dumps. Use the launcher’s DLC field for optional packs. Do not substitute files downloaded from an unofficial source.
- Let verification and preparation finish. The launcher verifies the inputs, copies the required data and prepares shaders and graphics pipelines. The first run takes a few minutes. It reads the source files rather than changing them, so keep your original image and dumps as backups.
- Select Play. Once preparation completes, use the launcher’s Play control. If you move the installation later, run the launcher again so it can find the generated data and configuration.
Graphics, resolution and controls
The native Vulkan renderer is the normal choice. An emulated renderer remains available as a fallback and reference if a particular GPU or driver has a rendering problem. The PC build adds settings that are not present in the original console presentation:
- Render-resolution choices of 720p, 1440p and 2160p.
- Supersampling and image sharpening.
- Anisotropic texture filtering up to 16x.
- Color controls.
- Low, Medium and High presets.
The project says Low is selected on first start for a Steam Deck or an integrated GPU. Raise the preset only after confirming stable rendering, because the project has not tested every GPU combination.
Open the in-game PC Settings page in any of three ways: press F4, click both controller sticks, or use the game’s Options menu. A controller is recommended for the wrestling-focused input layout, but the documentation does not specify a mandatory controller model.

“Tested and playable” describes the maintainer’s compatibility report, not a guarantee that every save, match type or hardware combination will behave identically. Anything not listed may still crash or contain defects.

Windows, Steam Deck and Linux compatibility
Windows 11
Windows 11 is the project’s tested Windows platform. The documented test machine used an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT. The project reports the game running at its original 60 frames per second on its tested setup, but it does not publish an independent benchmark method or a universal hardware target.
Windows 10
Windows 10 64-bit is listed as a requirement but marked untested in the compatibility information. It may work, but the project does not provide the same test status as Windows 11.
Steam Deck
The README reports the Windows build running on Steam Deck through Proton on SteamOS at 60 fps on the Low preset. That is a project-reported observation, not a promise for every Proton version, SteamOS image or power profile. Start with Low and adjust settings only after the game is stable.

Desktop Linux is explicitly listed as untested. Proton success on Steam Deck should not be treated as evidence that the same setup works on every Linux distribution or desktop GPU.

NVIDIA and Intel graphics
The project has not listed NVIDIA or Intel GPUs as tested. A Vulkan-capable driver is still required, and unlisted combinations may work or may crash. Keep the emulated renderer available as a diagnostic fallback if the native renderer fails.
Performance expectations and first-run behavior
The project reports the original 60-fps target and a Steam Deck result of 60 fps on Low. Both figures come from the project’s own live compatibility notes; no independent benchmark, publication year or standardized test procedure is supplied. Treat them as useful indications for the listed configurations, not as performance guarantees for your PC.
The first launch can feel slower than later launches because shaders and graphics pipelines are prepared once. Allow that process to complete rather than closing the launcher partway through. If you change graphics drivers, move the installation or remove generated files, the project may need to prepare those assets again.
Troubleshooting common problems
The launcher rejects the ISO
- Confirm that the image is from the USA or Europe Xbox 360 release.
- Check that you selected the actual ISO file, not a folder containing extracted files.
- Make sure the image came from your own disc and is not an altered or repacked download.
- Re-select Title Update 2 and verify that it is the dump from your own console.
DLC does not appear
Use Title Update 2 and add the DLC through the launcher’s DLC control. The project says the base disc version disables DLC loading. A DLC pack that is not a dump from your console may fail verification or create compatibility problems.

The game crashes during rendering
- Install the latest Vulkan driver supplied for your GPU.
- Try the Low preset and a lower render resolution first.
- Switch from the native Vulkan renderer to the emulated renderer to determine whether the problem is renderer-specific.
- Remember that NVIDIA, Intel, Windows 10 and desktop Linux are not listed as tested combinations.
SmartScreen blocks the launcher
The project notes that its launcher is unsigned. Check that you downloaded the release from the authentic project source and that the archive has not been modified. If you cannot verify its origin, cancel rather than weakening Windows protections.
Controllers are not responding
Connect the controller before starting the game, then open PC Settings with F4, both stick clicks or Options. Confirm that Windows sees each device and that the game assigns the intended player slots. For four-player local play, test one controller first, then add the others individually to identify a conflicting device.
Online Player Match fails
Player Match is experimental and depends on the project’s replacement server rather than official Xbox LIVE or THQ services. A failed connection does not indicate that your ISO is wrong. Ranked Match, leaderboards and the in-game store are unsupported regardless of network status.

How this option fits different PC setups
- Windows 11 with a Vulkan-capable AMD card: This most closely matches the project’s documented test configuration.
- Windows 10: It meets the listed operating-system requirement but remains untested by the project.
- Steam Deck: Proton on SteamOS is reported playable at 60 fps on Low; begin with that preset.
- Desktop Linux: No tested status is provided, so expect troubleshooting and possible crashes.
- NVIDIA or Intel GPU: Vulkan support is necessary, but the project has not reported these vendors as tested.
- Anyone without a personal ISO and Title Update 2 dump: The recompilation cannot be set up from the release ZIP alone. You must create the required files from your own Xbox 360 materials.
Bottom line for a legal PC setup
The Xbox 360 static recompilation is a practical way to play WWE All Stars on a modern PC without emulating the entire console. Install the Windows x64 release in a writable folder, supply your own USA or Europe ISO and Title Update 2, let the launcher copy and prepare the files, then start with the native Vulkan renderer and conservative graphics settings. The strongest documented compatibility is Windows 11 with Vulkan hardware and Steam Deck through Proton on Low; other systems may work but are not confirmed by the project. Keep all game data private, and treat experimental online play and unsupported services accordingly.
