Waltz and Jam is planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam on December 3, 2026. As of October 11, 2026, the complete game is not yet available, but Steam lists a playable demo. The practical choice is straightforward: use PS5 if you already own Sony’s console, Switch 2 if you want TV, tabletop, or handheld play, or a Windows PC that meets Steam’s requirements and preferably has a supported controller.

Release status: the full game is not out yet
KRAFTON Japan announced a planned worldwide release for December 3, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Nintendo’s Canada store listing gives the same date for the Switch 2 edition. That is a scheduled launch date, not evidence that the finished game is already playable.
Steam’s listing currently shows the game as not yet released while offering a demo download. The demo is the only confirmed way to try it before launch. Storefront availability can change by region or be updated before release, so check the current PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, or Steam listing when you are ready to download.

What kind of game is Waltz and Jam?
Waltz and Jam is described by its publisher as a single-player action-adventure platformer. You guide Waltz through seven chapters or worlds themed around the Seven Deadly Sins. Each world combines platforming, environmental puzzles, enemy encounters, and a boss at the end.
The core toy-and-transformation loop
Waltz’s toys and Jam’s transformations are intended to work together. The available official material does not specify how many stamps each trial awards, whether trials can be replayed, or whether the ticket system branches into optional content.

Boss encounters
Official store copy advises players to read a boss’s movements and combine toys, Jam’s transformations, and the surrounding environment to create an opening. That is the confirmed approach: observe, identify an interaction, and use the appropriate ability rather than relying only on direct attacks. Specific boss names, phases, weaknesses, and button sequences have not been published, so any detailed boss guide would be speculation before release.
How to play on PlayStation 5
The PS5 edition is confirmed by KRAFTON Japan’s announcement, but the inspected official material does not yet provide a PS5-specific control map, resolution modes, frame-rate targets, or installation size.
- Check the PlayStation Store listing. Search for Waltz and Jam on your PS5 or through the PlayStation Store website. Before December 3, 2026, expect the page to show a planned release rather than an immediately playable full game.

Installation and storage
- Open Nintendo eShop on Switch 2. Search for Waltz and Jam and read the current product page. The displayed date is the planned launch date, not a guarantee that access is enabled before launch.
- Check available storage. Nintendo estimates a 6.5 GB download for the Switch 2 listing. Because this is an estimate for that edition, leave additional free space for system overhead and updates rather than treating 6.5 GB as a universal requirement for every platform.
- Download after purchase or release access. Use the eShop’s standard download process. If a preload option appears, its timing will be determined by Nintendo and the regional listing.
- Choose a play mode. TV mode suits a docked setup, tabletop mode lets you play with the console placed on a surface, and handheld mode uses the built-in screen and controls. The listing identifies these modes but does not rank their image quality or performance.
- Play as a solo adventure. The listing specifies one player on one system. Do not plan on local co-op based on the currently published information.
What Switch 2 owners should not assume

Steam lists the same 7 GB storage figure for both tiers. Keep extra room for Steam’s installation process, patches, and save data. Meeting the minimum specification indicates that the computer is within the storefront’s listed baseline; it does not establish a particular resolution, frame rate, or graphics preset.

Installing and trying the demo
- Install or open Steam. Sign in to the account on the Windows PC where you want to play.
- Search for Waltz and Jam. Open the official store page and look for the demo option. Steam currently lists a demo while marking the full game as not yet available.
