As of October 13, 2026, the Steam demo is the confirmed way to try Unrivaled Heroes: 2.5D Brawler while the full-game listing still says the game is not yet available. Open Steam, search for the exact title, choose the official demo listing, select its download or install control, and follow Steam’s prompts. The full game has a planned October 2026 release, but that planned month is not proof that the release has happened, so check the live listing before installing or buying anything.
The game is a 2.5D side-scrolling beat-’em-up inspired by Indonesian folklore and mythology. Its official descriptions highlight heroes with distinct abilities, enemy and boss encounters, solo play, and local multiplayer. Confirm which Unrivaled Heroes listing you need

Install the demo on Steam
1. Open Steam and search for the exact game
- Start the Steam client or open the Steam store in a browser.
- Search for Unrivaled Heroes: 2.5D Brawler Demo.
- Check that the developer is GingerSun Games and the publisher is Soft Source. Those details help distinguish the official listing from similarly named results.
- Open the demo page and read its current availability notice before continuing.
2. Use the demo’s download or install control
Select the download or install control shown on the official demo listing. Steam will present its own prompts for adding the demo and selecting an installation location. Confirm the choices in the Steam client and allow the download to finish.
The official material confirms the demo route but does not document every Steam client screen, wording variation, storage requirement, or error message. Button labels can differ between the desktop client, browser hand-off, operating system, and future Steam updates, so follow the prompt that Steam displays rather than relying on an old screenshot.
3. Wait for Steam to complete the installation
Keep the Steam client open while the download is in progress. When Steam marks the demo as installed, open your Library and select the demo’s entry. Use Steam’s normal Launch or Play control to start it.
If the listing changes while you are working, stop and reread the page. A missing install control can mean that the demo is no longer offered, that the page is temporarily unavailable, or that Steam has changed the way it presents the demo. Do not download an unofficial copy from another site.

Playing locally with other people
The demo listing describes local co-op for up to four players. The full-game page separately describes shared or split-screen co-op. These descriptions establish local, same-device multiplayer; they do not establish online multiplayer, cross-play, matchmaking, or remote play support.

Expecting online multiplayer
“Local co-op,” “shared,” and “split-screen” describe play on the same local setup. The reviewed descriptions do not confirm online sessions. Do not purchase or configure the game on the assumption that friends in other locations can join over the internet.

The game installed but will not start
