Solitaire Clash is timed, competitive Klondike. You play a five-minute hand with the same starting layout, rules, and scoring conditions as your opponent (or a recorded historical playthrough). Build the four suit foundations from Ace through King, expose face-down tableau cards, and make high-value moves quickly. The official scoring guide awards 20 points for each card moved from the waste and 20 points for each tableau card revealed; finishing early can add a time bonus, although the complete bonus formula is not published.
This guide explains the layout, legal moves, scoring, match types, eligibility cautions, and practical decisions that help you use each five-minute round well.
What Solitaire Clash is and what you are trying to do
Solitaire Clash uses the familiar Klondike rules but turns a traditionally solo puzzle into a head-to-head, timed score contest. A match lasts five minutes according to AviaGames’ official rules guide, dated February 9, 2026. Your result is the number of points you earn before the clock expires, not simply whether every card reaches a foundation.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsBoth sides are given the same initial deal. AviaGames says the other score may come from a live player or from a historical playthrough recorded from a real player. The support FAQ says the participants share the same layout, time limit, rules, and scoring, so the meaningful comparison is how efficiently each person handles that identical position.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The underlying objective remains classic Klondike:
- Arrange tableau cards in descending rank while alternating red and black colors.
- Move Aces, then 2s through Kings, into four suit-specific foundation piles.
- Reveal face-down tableau cards and use the stock and waste to find cards that unlock more moves.
- Accumulate more points than the opposing score before the five-minute timer ends.
Completing the entire board is valuable, but a player can score well without finishing every foundation if the round ends first. Conversely, a technically complete board is not automatically the best result if it took too long.

Understand the layout before making a move
The seven-column tableau
The tableau is the group of seven columns in the center of the deal. Cards are built downward by alternating color: a red 9 can receive a black 8, for example, and that black 8 can receive a red 7. You may move a single exposed card or an already arranged face-up sequence when the destination card has the required rank and opposite color.
Most tableau cards begin face down. When you move the face-up card or sequence covering one, the newly exposed card becomes available. This reveal is strategically important because the official scoring guide awards points for each card revealed in the tableau.
Four foundation piles
Each foundation represents one suit. Start it with that suit’s Ace, then place the 2, 3, 4, and so on in ascending order until King. A card cannot skip a rank or change suit in a foundation. Moving a card to a foundation removes it from the tableau or waste, so check whether it is still needed to build a useful tableau sequence before sending it upward.
Stock and waste
The stock is the face-down draw pile. The official guide describes drawing three cards at a time into the waste. Only the currently available waste card can normally be used; the order in which cards appear therefore matters. A card that is buried behind two others may become playable only after you use or otherwise clear the cards ahead of it.
Empty columns
Only a King can be placed in an empty tableau column. A King may be moved alone or with the face-up sequence attached beneath it. Empty columns are therefore valuable repositioning space, not general-purpose parking spots. Opening one too early without a King ready can leave you unable to exploit it.

- Scan all exposed cards. Before tapping, identify every legal tableau move, every available foundation move, and any move that would uncover a face-down card. The first useful action is often a reveal rather than an immediate foundation placement.
- Prioritize a safe reveal. If two moves are legal, prefer the one that exposes a hidden tableau card or opens a route to one. Reveals both score points and increase the number of future choices.
- Build alternating-color runs. Place cards in descending rank and opposite color. Move a complete face-up run when doing so exposes a hidden card or creates access to a needed rank.
- Use Aces and low cards deliberately. An exposed Ace can begin its foundation, but do not automatically remove every card that is eligible. First check whether that card is the only connector for a tableau sequence.
- Draw from the stock when tableau play stalls. Take the three-card draw described in the official rules and inspect the waste in order. Use a playable waste card when it advances a reveal, foundation, or important reorganization rather than tapping randomly.
- Reserve empty columns for useful Kings. When a column is cleared, use the space to relocate a King-led sequence that uncovers another card or makes a buried card reachable.
- Recheck the tableau after every reveal. A newly exposed card can change the best move immediately. Look again for a red-black connection, a foundation continuation, or a King placement before drawing again.
- Keep moving while the clock runs. The five-minute limit rewards a steady rhythm. If a sensible move is clear, make it; spend longer thinking only when a choice could lock a key card, consume a needed connector, or waste an empty column.
- Finish or stop intelligently. If the board is complete, or no legal progress remains, ending early may trigger the time bonus described by AviaGames. If neither condition applies, continue using the remaining time to reveal and move cards.
These steps describe a decision order, not a guaranteed winning sequence. The deal determines which branches are available.

How does Solitaire Clash scoring work?
The official AviaGames guide lists two explicit scoring events. Both are worth 20 points per qualifying card.
| Scoring event | Points | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Card moved from the waste | 20 points per card | Value stated in AviaGames’ official guide; the guide does not provide a more detailed distinction among destinations. |
| Card revealed in the tableau | 20 points per card | Applies when a face-down tableau card is exposed, according to the same guide. |
| Early-finish time bonus | Formula not published | AviaGames says finishing faster and moving more cards to the Foundation can produce a larger bonus. |
The two 20-point values are rule figures attributed to AviaGames, not results from an independent study. A move can matter in more than one way: exposing a face-down card can earn reveal points and create the position for later waste or foundation progress. The published material does not state whether every compound action is scored as a separate event, so use the in-app score display and the rules shown for your current mode if they differ.
There is no complete public equation for the time bonus in the cited guide. Do not calculate a guaranteed amount from the clock alone. Treat the bonus as an incentive to complete efficiently, then verify the actual award on the results screen.
When does a match end, and who is the opponent?
Clock expiration
The standard official description gives you five minutes. When the timer reaches zero, your accumulated score is compared with the opposing score under that match’s rules. The practical implication is that a move that earns points now can be preferable to a lengthy rearrangement that might produce a larger theoretical finish after the clock has expired.
Board completion or no remaining moves
AviaGames says a player can finish early after completing the board or after running out of moves, and that an early finish may earn a time bonus. The guide does not publish a separate, fixed bonus for each ending condition. The result screen and the current in-app rules should control if the interface presents different wording.
Live player or historical playthrough
The support FAQ says matching can use either a live participant or a historical playthrough made from a real player’s recorded game. In both cases, AviaGames says the same starting layout, time, rules, and scoring apply. A historical opponent is therefore not a different deal or a different scoring system; it is a recorded score against the shared conditions.
Strategies that improve decisions without promising a win
The following techniques come from AviaGames’ own strategy material. They are practical guidance, not independently tested proof of a higher win rate.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →1. Reveal hidden cards first when the choice is close
A face-down card is both a scoring opportunity and an unknown constraint. If one legal move uncovers a card while another merely shifts an exposed sequence, the reveal usually gives you more information and more future options. Look for moves that empty the top of a column, move a covering sequence, or expose a card after a foundation decision.

Do not reveal at any cost. A move that strands a needed low card or consumes your only usable King can create a worse position. Compare the immediate 20-point reveal with the access the alternative preserves.
2. Do not send every eligible card straight to a foundation
AviaGames specifically cautions that an apparently ready foundation card can be more useful in the tableau. A black 6, for instance, might be needed to accept a red 5 and uncover a column; moving it upward first can break that route. Before placing a card in its foundation, ask:
- Will removing it expose a face-down card or empty a column?
- Is it the only card of that color and rank that can connect a sequence?
- Does the foundation move release a card from the waste or block a needed tableau placement?
- Can the same foundation progress be made later without losing a reveal now?
Foundation building remains essential for completing the board, but timing matters in a five-minute score race.
3. Watch the suit that is falling behind
AviaGames’ short-suit guidance recommends considering a shorter or less advanced suit when its next required card could stay trapped in the stock or tableau. For example, if three foundations are moving smoothly but one suit cannot advance because its next card is buried, use available moves to improve access to that suit rather than continuing a safer-looking line in an already healthy suit.
This is situational, not a rule to always favor the shortest suit. If pursuing it costs several reveals or blocks a legal tableau chain, take the line that keeps more options open.
4. Remember key cards and the three-card order
Track the locations of Aces, Kings, cards missing from each foundation, and any card that is the only possible connector for a run. Because the stock is drawn three at a time, note which useful card sits ahead of or behind the currently available waste card. Planning around that order helps you avoid burying a needed card under an unnecessary tap.
A simple mental inventory can be enough: identify the next foundation rank for each suit, the Kings that can occupy an empty column, and the card you are waiting to expose. Update that inventory whenever a tableau reveal changes the position.

5. Use an empty column to create access, not just space
When you clear a column, do not fill it with the first King that appears. Compare the King-led sequences available. The better placement is usually the one that exposes a hidden card, frees a useful color, or lets a long alternating run move as a unit. Since no non-King can start an empty column, spending the space on a poor King can remove your only reorganization tool.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
6. Maintain a controlled pace
Fast play is not the same as random play. Keep a short loop: scan, make the highest-value safe move, rescan after a reveal, then draw only when tableau options are exhausted. Long pauses reduce the time available for scoring, while indiscriminate taps can consume the very cards needed for a reveal or foundation route.
A practical five-minute plan
Opening minute: map the deal
Use the opening seconds to identify immediate reveals, exposed Aces, available Kings, and any tableau sequence that can move without blocking another column. Take a legal reveal quickly when it is clearly safe. The goal is to turn unknown face-down cards into known choices before spending many stock draws.
Middle minutes: convert access into points
Once several cards are exposed, alternate between tableau organization and foundation progress. Use the waste when it unlocks a card you have been tracking. Reconsider foundation moves that would remove a critical connector. If one suit is lagging, look for the specific card that will advance it and work backward toward that card’s location.
Final minute: choose certainty over elaborate plans
With little time left, favor moves that immediately reveal a card, move a waste card for points, or place a clearly safe foundation continuation. Avoid a multi-step rearrangement that depends on several unknown cards. If the board is complete or no legal moves remain, end according to the mode’s control so any applicable time bonus is evaluated.
Free, Gem, and cash matches: what changes?
The US Apple App Store listing describes free matches and cash matches and marks the app 18+. It also lists cash-match restrictions for Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Michigan, South Dakota, Maine, Indiana, and US territories including Puerto Rico. Free matches may remain available in some restricted locations. These are storefront statements, not a permanent legal guarantee.
| Match type | Entry and prize description | Availability notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free or Gem match | Free entry or an in-game Gem-based entry where the mode offers it; no specific fee or prize amount is established in the cited sources. | May be available where cash play is restricted, subject to the current app and local rules. |
| Cash match | Cash entry and cash prize conditions are shown by the mode; the reviewed sources do not establish a universal fee or prize table. | 18+ listing; restricted in the states and US territory named above, with eligibility subject to change. |
AviaGames’ support information says prize eligibility requires a higher score than the other player or players. If a historical playthrough’s score wins, AviaGames retains the prize. Check the current in-app terms, age requirement, identity or payment requirements, and local law before entering any cash mode. Do not assume that a mode visible in one country or app-store account is available in another.

Moving every Ace or low card immediately
Why it hurts: The card may be the only tableau connector for a reveal. Correction: Compare the foundation gain with the face-down card, sequence, or empty column that the tableau placement could unlock.

Why it hurts: You may lose the chance to move a more productive King-led sequence. Correction: Wait long enough to compare which King exposes or connects more cards.
Chasing completion while neglecting score events
Why it hurts: A slow full-board plan may score less than a faster line with many reveals and waste moves. Correction: In the timed format, weigh immediate qualifying points and the potential time bonus against long-term foundation progress.
Assuming a strategy guarantees a win
Why it hurts: The deal and the opposing score still matter, and the publisher has not published independent win-rate evidence for these tips. Correction: Treat each recommendation as a way to make better choices under the same layout, not as a promise.
Can a physical deck help you practice?
A standard 52-card deck can teach the basic Klondike mechanics: seven tableau columns, alternating-color descending runs, four suit foundations, and King-only empty columns. It is an optional practice aid if you want to rehearse recognizing legal moves away from a screen.
It cannot reproduce Solitaire Clash’s five-minute timer, shared competitive layout, waste scoring, tableau-reveal scoring, time bonus, opponent matching, or cash-mode rules. Use a physical deck to learn movement patterns, then use the app’s current on-screen rules to learn the competitive scoring and timing.

How to win more games: the decision framework
You cannot control the deal or guarantee a result, but you can control the order in which you evaluate choices. First seek a safe tableau reveal. Next preserve cards that connect alternating-color sequences. Then use the waste in its three-card order, advancing a lagging suit when its needed card is otherwise trapped. Place Kings into empty columns only when the resulting reorganization helps. Finally, keep a steady pace so the five-minute clock works for your score rather than against it.

That approach aligns the game’s two explicit scoring events—20 points per waste card moved and 20 points per tableau card revealed—with the longer-term objective of moving cards into the foundations.
