Sifu has a native mobile edition for iPhone/iPad and Android. It includes the complete story campaign, touch controls designed for phones, a reworked camera, enhanced contextual interactions, and full controller support. The official launch announcement set the iOS and Android release for 12 October; the announced date has passed, but your local store still determines whether the game is offered for your region and handset.
If the native listing is unavailable or your phone is not eligible, the other route is Steam Link. Steam Link streams Sifu from a computer running Steam to an iOS or Android device. That is remote play, not a mobile installation, so it requires a host PC, a network connection, and the Steam Link app.
What is available on mobile?
There are two different ways to play Sifu on a phone or tablet. Keeping them separate prevents the most common compatibility mistake: treating Steam Link’s app requirements as if they were the requirements for the native Sifu game.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
The mobile listing says the campaign is complete rather than a shortened trial or a separate side game. It also promises touch controls, enhanced contextual interactions, a reworked camera system, and full controller support. Those are product features stated by the listing; they do not establish a particular phone model, processor, memory amount, or minimum operating-system version.
Availability varies by store and device
Opening a store page on your own handset is the authoritative availability check. A title can be released for a platform while remaining unavailable in a particular country, or a store can hide installation for a device it considers incompatible. The listing does not provide a complete list of supported iPhone generations, Android models, native-game OS minimums, or hardware requirements.
Do not infer eligibility from a search result, a friend’s phone, or Steam Link’s requirements. Use the local App Store or Google Play listing associated with your account and device before purchasing or downloading.
Native mobile versus Steam Link
The table below shows what changes between a local installation and a streamed PC session.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
| Question | Native mobile edition | Steam Link |
|---|---|---|
| Where does Sifu run? | On the iOS or Android device, as a mobile adaptation. | On a computer running Steam; the phone or tablet receives the streamed video and audio. |
| Is a host gaming PC required? | No host PC is stated as necessary for the native installation. | Yes. You need a computer running Steam with Sifu available to launch. |
| Input options | Touch controls designed for mobile and full controller support are stated in the mobile listing. | Steam Link returns input to the host computer. Valve documents several controller combinations for the app; compatibility depends on the exact phone, operating system, and controller. |
| Which requirements apply? | The requirements and eligibility shown by your local Sifu store listing. The listings do not state a complete native-device specification. | Steam Link app requirements and the host PC/network setup. These are not native Sifu requirements. |
| Regional availability | Determined by the iOS or Android storefront in your region and the store’s device check. | Determined by access to Steam Link, your Steam library, the host computer, and your network. |
| Pricing, offline play, cross-save, and performance | Not established by the cited listing material. | Not established by the cited Steam Link material; streaming necessarily depends on the host and network connection. |
How to install the native mobile version
Use these steps when you want Sifu installed locally rather than streamed.
- Open the official store on the device. On Android, search for the Sifu listing or open the official Google Play page. On iPhone or iPad, search the App Store from the device; the official announcement links to the iOS listing.
- Check the listing before tapping the purchase or install button. Confirm that the page is available in your country, that the device is marked compatible, and that the displayed publisher information and description match the mobile edition. The cited sources do not establish a universal price, so rely on the amount shown in your local store.
- Review the current store requirements. If the store says the phone or tablet is unsupported, treat that message as the current eligibility decision. Do not substitute the iOS 11.0 or Android 5.0 figures documented for Steam Link; they apply to Valve’s streaming app only.
- Install and launch Sifu. Allow the download to finish on a stable connection, then open the game from the store or your app library. The mobile listing promises the complete story campaign, but it does not promise that every setting, save feature, or storefront entitlement is identical across platforms.
- Choose an input method. Start with the built-in touch controls, or pair a controller if you prefer physical buttons. The listing confirms both options but does not publish a universal touch gesture map or a list of guaranteed third-party controller models.
Which phones and tablets are supported?
What the listings confirm
- Sifu has a mobile listing for both iOS and Android.
- The mobile edition includes touch controls designed for mobile devices and full controller support.
- The Google Play page describes the complete story campaign and mobile-specific camera and contextual-interaction changes.
- Exact iPhone generations, Android handset models, native-game minimum operating systems, chipset requirements, RAM requirements, and country-by-country availability are not stated in the listing text.
What is not yet a reliable supported-devices list
| Specification | Native Sifu status | How to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum iOS version | Not stated in the Sifu listing. | Open the current App Store page on the intended iPhone or iPad and read its compatibility section. |
| Supported iPhone/iPad generations | No complete model list was provided. | Use the App Store’s device-compatibility result for the signed-in device. |
| Minimum Android version | Not stated in the Sifu listing. | Open Google Play on the intended handset; its compatibility message is the relevant check. |
| Android chip, GPU, or RAM minimum | Not stated. | Check the local listing and the device result rather than extrapolating from another phone. |
| Regional release eligibility | May differ by country; no universal regional matrix was supplied. | Search the store while connected to the account and region that will be used to play. |
| Steam Link app operating-system minimum | Not a native Sifu requirement. | Valve lists iOS 11.0+ and Android 5.0+ for Steam Link; consult the current Steam Remote Play page. |
If a store page says “not compatible,” there is no evidence here that changing a setting, installing an unofficial package, or using Steam Link will make the native game compatible. Steam Link can provide a separate way to play from a computer, but it does not change the native port’s device requirements.
Controls on the native mobile edition
Touch controls
The official listing explicitly says that Sifu has new touch controls designed for mobile devices. It also mentions enhanced contextual interactions and a reworked camera system, which indicate that the interface and camera behavior were adapted for a small screen. The listing does not expose a complete control-by-control layout in the available text, so there is no reliable basis for naming specific swipe directions, virtual-button positions, or gesture combinations.

Physical controllers
Full controller support is part of the mobile listing, making a separate controller optional rather than mandatory. The evidence does not certify a particular third-party model for the native edition. A controller that works with a phone at the operating-system level may still require a game-specific compatibility check, so verify the store description and test input in Sifu before committing to an accessory.
For the native game, avoid carrying over controller claims from Steam Link. Valve’s documented examples describe the Steam Link app, not the Sifu mobile port. If a controller is not detected, first confirm that the phone sees it in its Bluetooth or wired-accessory settings, then reopen Sifu and check its in-game input settings.
How to play the PC version through Steam Link
Steam Link is useful when you already have Sifu on a computer and want the phone to act as a remote screen and input device. Steam describes the process as sending the host computer’s video and audio to the other device and returning input to the host. It is therefore dependent on the host PC being available and on a suitable network connection.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteRequirements for the streaming route
- A computer running Steam with Sifu installed and able to launch.
- An iOS or Android phone or tablet with the Steam Link app.
- A network connection between the mobile device and the host computer that is stable enough for remote play.
- Optional controller hardware, matched to the phone, operating system, and Steam Link support documentation.
Valve lists iOS 11.0+ and Android 5.0+ for the Steam Link app on its Steam Remote Play page. Those figures describe the app, not the native Sifu game. Valve’s platform-specific guidance is available for Apple Steam Link and Android Steam Link.

Steam Link setup
- Prepare the host computer. Sign in to Steam, install Sifu, and verify that it launches locally. The phone cannot stream a game that the host cannot run.
- Install Steam Link on the phone or tablet. Use the official iOS or Android store listing for the app and confirm that the device meets Valve’s current app requirement.
- Start Steam Link and connect to the host. Follow the app’s pairing instructions. Keep Steam running on the computer and maintain the network connection while pairing and playing.
- Choose input. Steam Link can return input from the mobile session to the computer. If you use a physical controller, check the platform-specific compatibility notes before pairing it.
- Open the Steam library in Steam Link and launch Sifu. The game remains running on the computer; the mobile device displays the streamed session.
- Adjust the session if input or video is unreliable. Confirm that the host is awake, Steam is still signed in, and the network connection is active. If the problem affects only one controller, test the session with the phone’s available input path or another controller that Valve lists for the relevant platform.
Controllers documented for Steam Link
Valve names these examples in its Steam Link support material: on iOS, MFi controllers, Xbox One S controllers, DualShock 4 on iOS/tvOS 13 and later, and Razer Kishi; on Android, Xbox One S controllers, DualShock 4 on Android 9.0 and later, Razer Kishi, and Raiju Mobile. These are Steam Link app details, not a guarantee that each device works with the native Sifu edition. Check the exact controller and phone combination in Valve’s current iOS guidance or Android guidance.

Sifu does not appear in the store
Check that you are using the official iOS or Android storefront for the region where the account is registered. Store availability can differ by country. If the title is absent or the page reports that it is unavailable, the cited material does not establish a workaround or a universal release schedule for that region.
The store says the phone is incompatible
Use the store’s compatibility result as the native-game decision. The available sources do not provide a model list or hardware minimum that would justify predicting support manually. Steam Link may still be an option if you have a suitable host computer, but installing Steam Link does not make the native version compatible.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Touch controls are difficult to use
Read the prompts and settings shown by the mobile game. A detailed gesture map is not published in the listing, so do not assume that desktop keyboard or console-button instructions correspond directly to touch. If the interface remains uncomfortable, the listing’s full controller support provides an alternative input path.

Apply even pressure for a few seconds to allow the suction cup to adhere properly. To maintain the grip and prevent accidental falls, it's a good practice to periodically reapply pressure to the suction cup.
A controller works with the phone but not in Sifu
Reconnect the controller at the operating-system level, close and reopen the game, and inspect the game’s input settings. Native Sifu compatibility for a specific model is not established by the general statement of full controller support. For a Steam Link session, use Valve’s platform-specific controller guidance and verify the exact OS version.
Steam Link cannot start Sifu
Confirm that the host computer is running Steam, that Sifu launches on that computer, and that the mobile device can connect to the host. Remember that Steam Link streams the computer’s session; it does not install the native mobile edition or remove the need for a host PC.
You are looking for offline play, cross-save, or a price
The cited official listing and Steam Link pages do not establish offline behavior, cross-save between the mobile and PC versions, or a single worldwide price. Check the terms and price shown by your own regional store, and do not assume that a feature exists because it is available on another platform.

Age rating and content
The Google Play listing displays PEGI 16 and identifies strong violence. That rating is a useful suitability check before installing the game for a younger player. Ratings can be presented differently by region, so read the rating shown in your local storefront as well.
Which option should you choose?
- Choose the native edition if your local App Store or Google Play page offers it for your device and you want a self-contained mobile installation with touch input or a supported controller.
- Choose Steam Link if Sifu is already available on a Steam-running computer and you are comfortable depending on that computer and a network connection.
- Check both paths separately if the native listing is unavailable. Steam Link’s iOS 11.0+ and Android 5.0+ figures describe the streaming app only; they do not certify the phone for native Sifu.
The most dependable decision is the one your own regional store and hardware confirm. Native Sifu availability is established for iOS and Android, but a definitive model-by-model support list and native minimum specifications are not provided by the cited materials.
