Little Kitty, Big City is coming to Android and iPhone/iPad, but availability is currently unsettled by territory. Double Dagger Studio’s mobile FAQ gives October 12, 2026 as the planned launch date (with China later), while the US Apple App Store listing accessed October 11, 2026 showed an expected December 31, 2026 date. Check your own country’s live Google Play or App Store listing before assuming you can install it.
When the listing is available, you can begin with a free trial. On Google Play, the purchase prompt appears after you collect and turn in 25 Shinies to Crow. A single in-app purchase permanently unlocks the full mobile game and keeps your trial progress. Mobile is sold separately from PC and console, and an Android purchase does not unlock the iPhone/iPad version, or vice versa.
Check whether the mobile version is available in your country
The first step is not a gameplay setting; it is verifying the release in your own storefront. The developer FAQ says the mobile edition is planned for October 12, 2026 everywhere except China, which is listed for a later release. However, the US Apple listing accessed on October 11, 2026 displayed an expected December 31, 2026 date. Storefront dates can also differ by territory and change without notice.

- Search for Little Kitty, Big City.
- Confirm that the developer shown on the listing is Double Dagger Studio.
- Check whether the listing offers an install button, a trial, or a future-release notice in your region.
- Read the current device-compatibility and price information shown in that same listing.
Do not install an unrelated app with a similar name, and do not treat the developer’s announced date as proof that the game is already downloadable in every storefront. China is specifically described as arriving later; that regional schedule should not be inferred from the language list.

Install and start the trial on Android

- Open Google Play and search for the exact title.
- Verify the developer is Double Dagger Studio.
- Review the device warning, price information and availability shown for your Google account and country.
- Tap the install button and wait for the download to finish.
- Launch the game and begin the free trial rather than purchasing immediately.
Google Play warns that some Android devices do not meet the game’s requirements. The public listing does not provide a single universal Android model cutoff in the supplied information, so the live compatibility result for your device is the authoritative check. A listing that says the app is unavailable or incompatible should be treated as a real requirement, not as a temporary gameplay setting.
Reach the Android purchase prompt
The Google Play listing identifies a specific trial milestone: collect and turn in 25 Shinies to Crow. At that point, the game presents the prompt to buy the full version. The trial is therefore a practical try-before-you-buy introduction rather than a separate demo with disposable progress.

Your trial progress carries over after the full-game unlock. The 25-Shiny threshold is documented for Google Play; the Apple storefront may present purchase messaging differently, so follow the prompt shown on your iPhone or iPad.

- Open the App Store and search for Little Kitty, Big City.
- Confirm Double Dagger Studio is listed as the developer.
- Check the current expected-release or availability status for your Apple account’s country.
- Review the iOS or iPadOS requirement and the listed compatible models.
- Install the app when the store makes it available, then launch the trial.
The US Apple listing accessed October 11, 2026 showed a $12.99 full-game unlock. That is a US storefront price at that time, not a worldwide price or a guarantee that the same amount will appear in another country. Apple’s taxes, currency conversion and regional pricing can change what you see.
What to do if the App Store still shows a future date
A future date means the app is not yet available for download through that listing. Do not rely on a manually changed device date or an unofficial download. Check the listing again later, and use the release status shown for your own Apple account. The discrepancy between the developer FAQ’s October 12 date and the US listing’s December 31 expected date is why a local storefront check matters.

Understand the one-time unlock before paying
The mobile edition uses a free-trial-to-unlock model. You can play the opening portion without paying, then purchase the complete mobile game through the platform store. The unlock is a one-time in-app purchase, not a recurring subscription. Once unlocked, the full game remains available on that platform account and trial progress is retained.

Little Kitty, Big City is a small-scale exploration adventure. You guide a curious cat through a city while trying to find the way home. The core activities are moving through the environment, meeting stray animals and collecting hats while you explore.
The mobile edition contains nearly all of the original adventure, but it is not presented as a pixel-for-pixel promise that every platform behaves identically. The mobile controls were rebuilt for touch devices, and the store information warns that content and presentation may vary from other platforms. The developer also says saves cannot transfer from PC or console.
Touch controls
The official FAQ confirms rebuilt mobile controls but does not publish an exact gesture map or fixed button layout. Consequently, do not expect a universal list of taps, swipes or on-screen button positions from this guide. Use the control prompts and settings shown by your installed version, because the interface can change with updates, screen size and orientation.

- Start in the trial and learn the movement and interaction prompts presented on your device.
- Use the game’s own on-screen controls rather than assuming a console controller layout.
- If a control appears difficult to reach, check the in-game settings before concluding that an action is unavailable.
- Keep the device orientation and accessibility settings that make touch input comfortable for you.
Mobile-exclusive AR mode
The mobile edition includes an AR mode that is exclusive to mobile. Google Play says camera and AR features are unavailable during the free trial and require the full unlock. If AR is your reason for installing the game, test the ordinary adventure first, then unlock the game before judging that feature.
The available information does not specify a universal AR tutorial or a particular camera gesture sequence. Follow the instructions displayed by your installed version and review any camera permission prompt from the operating system. AR availability can also depend on the capabilities and permissions of the device you are using.
Internet, offline play and save limitations
When an internet connection is required
The developer FAQ gives a narrow answer: “Only to download the game and buy the full version. After that, you can play offline!” In practical terms, plan to be online for the initial download and for completing the purchase. Once the game has been downloaded and fully unlocked, ordinary play can continue without an internet connection.
What does not transfer
The FAQ says saves cannot transfer from PC or console to mobile. Starting the mobile version therefore means beginning with the mobile installation’s own save data, even if you already finished the game elsewhere. Purchases are also separated by platform: buying the Android version does not grant the Apple version, and buying the mobile edition is not included with a PC or console copy.

The US Apple listing specifies iOS/iPadOS 13.0 or later and names the following device groups. Apple’s listing data can change, so use the live listing as the final check.

The overlapping iPhone wording reflects how the store listing presents its compatibility data; it is not a reason to assume every older iPhone works. If your model or operating-system version is absent from the current listing, do not assume the game will install or perform correctly.
Android phones and tablets
Google Play states that some Android devices do not meet the requirements, but the supplied listing information does not establish one model-by-model cutoff. Check the compatibility result for your exact device, Android version and Google account. If the listing blocks installation, changing unrelated game settings will not remove the storefront requirement.

If you own both types of device, buy on the platform where you expect to play most often. There is no cross-purchase entitlement to make switching between Android and Apple economical.

Controller support and input expectations
The developer FAQ answers the controller question with “Not at this time.” Do not buy a Bluetooth or wired controller specifically for this mobile release expecting official support. The intended input method is the rebuilt mobile touch interface. A controller that pairs with your phone may still be visible to the operating system, but that does not establish that the game will accept it.

Languages and regional release
The FAQ lists these supported languages:

If the listing is absent or shows a future date, availability may not yet have reached your country or may have changed from the announced schedule. The store says the device is incompatible
On Android, Google Play’s compatibility decision is device-specific and the public information does not provide a universal model list. On Apple devices, compare your model and iOS/iPadOS version with the current listing. Updating the operating system may help only when the device itself is supported; it cannot turn an unsupported model into a supported one.
The purchase prompt appears before you expected
On Google Play, the documented trigger is turning in 25 Shinies to Crow. The prompt is the normal boundary between the trial and the paid unlock. Review the one-time purchase details in the store dialog, and do not assume that owning the PC or console edition removes the mobile charge.
Trial progress seems missing after unlocking
