Epic Seven is planned for Steam on October 29, 2026, but the date can change. When the Steam version is available, install the free game, sign in with a STOVE account, and transfer your existing Epic Seven account through Smilegate’s official STOVE account-linking instructions before you begin playing. Smilegate says the transfer keeps your progress and data, including unclaimed rewards, event items, and ongoing Epic Pass progress.
If you already launched Epic Seven on Steam and created a new account, do not try to combine the two accounts. Contact Epic Seven Customer Service and request deletion of the new Simple Login (Steam) account first; the existing account can be transferred after that deletion is completed.
Is Epic Seven available on Steam yet?
Availability is the first thing to check because the Steam launch is scheduled rather than guaranteed. The Steam store listing checked on October 13, 2026, showed a planned release date of October 29, 2026 and stated that the full game was not yet available at that time. Recheck the current Epic Seven Steam listing before installing; Smilegate or Steam may change the date, regional availability, or launch status.

You do not need to buy a separate PC copy. The important requirement is an account: the Steam version requires a STOVE third-party account, and that STOVE account is linked to your Steam account.

PC requirements for the Steam version
Steam’s listing gives these minimum Windows requirements. They are the published figures at the time of checking and should be verified again after launch.

These figures describe the listed minimum configuration, not a promise of a particular frame rate or image-quality setting. Leave additional free space for Steam files, patches, and temporary installation data. A current Windows installation, updated graphics driver, and a stable connection will reduce avoidable launch problems, but the published listing does not specify a separate broadband-speed threshold.
How Epic Seven’s Steam account transfer works
Epic Seven uses different labels for the account you already have and the account created through Steam:
- An existing account can be an email-based Epic Seven account or a Simple Login account connected through a social-network sign-in (SNS).
- The Steam destination is a Simple Login (Steam) account associated with your Steam account.
- The process is an account transfer, not a merger. Your existing account’s game data moves to the Steam-linked destination.
Smilegate’s account-linking FAQ says an eligible existing email or Simple Login account can be transferred at any time. It does not describe a separate application window or deadline for requesting the transfer. Use the current labels and sequence in the official STOVE account-transfer guide; do not rely on screenshots or button names from an older guide because the account pages may change.
Before you open Epic Seven on Steam
The safest order is to transfer first and launch second. Opening the game through Steam can create a new Simple Login (Steam) account automatically. If that happens, you must ask Customer Service to delete the new account before the old one can be transferred.

Prepare the account you want to keep
- Confirm the email address or SNS login used by your existing Epic Seven account.
- Make sure you can sign in to that account outside Steam before beginning.
- Record the account’s identifying details, such as the in-game nickname and any player information that Customer Service may request. Do not send anyone your password or one-time security code.
- Decide which account is the real one if you have more than one Epic Seven account. The transfer is intended for the existing account you select; it is not a way to combine separate progress records.
Check the launch status
Open the official Epic Seven Steam listing and confirm that the game is actually available in your region. On October 13, 2026, the listing still showed the future October 29 date and said the game was unavailable. If the listing has not changed, you cannot complete the Steam installation or play the full release yet.
Read the current official transfer instructions
Smilegate’s “FAQs Regarding Account Linking” directs players to the official STOVE account-transfer guide. Follow that guide’s current screens exactly. The publicly available material confirms the supported account types and the outcome, but it does not establish a permanent set of button names or menu locations, so an exact click path copied from an older page could be wrong.

- Verify Steam availability. Check the Epic Seven Steam listing for the current release status and date. If the store still reports that the game is not available, wait for the release rather than creating a test account.
- Sign in to your existing Epic Seven account. Use the email login or Simple Login (SNS) account that contains the progress you want to keep. Confirm that you are looking at the correct account before continuing.
- Open Smilegate’s official account-linking instructions. Start from the “FAQs Regarding Account Linking” information and follow the linked STOVE transfer guide. Use the labels shown on the live page; do not guess if an option has been renamed.
- Choose the transfer option for an existing account. The supported source is an existing email account or existing Simple Login account. The destination is the Simple Login (Steam) account that will be associated with your Steam identity.
- Authenticate both sides when prompted. Sign in to the existing account and authorize the Steam-linked STOVE account as instructed. Keep the browser or account page open until the service confirms completion.
- Review the destination account carefully. Check that the Steam-linked account is the one being selected before confirming. A transfer is not a merge of two independent game accounts, so do not approve a different blank account by mistake.
- Complete the transfer confirmation. Finish every confirmation step in the official guide and wait for the success message. Avoid closing the page during processing or repeatedly submitting the request.
- Install and launch through Steam only after the transfer is complete. When the game is available, install it from Steam and sign in with the linked STOVE account. Your existing game data should load on that account.
The official FAQ says the transfer can be performed at any time and that transferred progress and data are retained. It does not describe a need to restart the game or create a new player profile after a successful transfer.
If you already created a new Steam account
This is the most important recovery branch. If you opened Epic Seven on Steam and the game created a fresh Simple Login (Steam) account, stop using that new account for the transfer process. The official FAQ instructs you to contact Customer Service and request deletion of the newly created Simple Login (Steam) account. After the deletion is handled, you can transfer the existing account.
What to tell Customer Service
Explain that Steam created a new Epic Seven account and that you need that new Simple Login (Steam) account deleted so your existing account can be transferred. Identify the existing account with the information support requests. Keep the request focused on deletion of the new Steam account and transfer of the existing account.

What not to do
- Do not assume the two accounts can be merged. The FAQ describes deletion followed by transfer, not account merging.
- Do not continue spending money or consuming items on the new Steam account while waiting for support.
- Do not repeatedly create additional Steam-linked accounts as a workaround.
- Do not provide your password, authentication code, or other secrets in a support ticket.
Support processing time and any additional verification are not specified in the published FAQ. Keep the ticket number and follow the instructions Customer Service gives you.
What data is retained after the transfer?
Smilegate’s FAQ says transferred game progress and data are retained. Its examples include:
- Unclaimed rewards
- Event items
- Ongoing Epic Pass progress
That means you should not need to claim every reward or finish an active Epic Pass before transferring. Nevertheless, avoid making changes while a transfer is processing, and verify the destination account after signing in. If a particular item does not appear, document the account name, item, and approximate time of transfer for Customer Service rather than attempting another transfer.
Using the same account outside Steam
The transferred account is not limited to Steam. The official FAQ says the same account can continue to be used on STOVE PC and on mobile. Steam becomes another linked access route; it does not turn the account into a Steam-only profile.
Use the same login identity when moving between platforms. Starting a different sign-in method can open a separate account, which may look like lost progress even when the original data still exists under the correct credentials.

Controller support and playing on PC
The Steam listing and Smilegate’s launch information both indicate controller support. A controller is optional: it is not required to install the game, transfer an account, or play through Steam. If you prefer keyboard and mouse, you can use the normal PC controls. If you use a controller, connect it before launching and review the game’s current control settings after installation, because the available layout and options may change by release version.
Do not buy a controller solely to complete account linking. The transfer is an online account procedure performed through STOVE; hardware choice does not alter which account is transferred.

The Steam page still says the game is unavailable
The October 13, 2026 listing showed the game as unavailable with an October 29 planned release. A future date is not a guarantee. Wait until Steam changes the listing to an available state, then restart the Steam client and check for the install option. Do not create a blank account just to test a pre-release listing.
The transfer guide’s buttons do not match an older article
Use the live STOVE guide linked from Smilegate’s account-linking FAQ. Account pages can be redesigned, and the available choices can differ depending on whether you are signed in, whether a Steam account is already linked, and which region you are using. Match the current wording rather than following an old screenshot.

First, stop playing on that profile and check which STOVE identity is signed in. If this is a newly created Simple Login (Steam) account, follow the Customer Service deletion route described above. Do not try to merge it with the existing account or create another profile.

The existing account cannot be authenticated
Confirm that you are using the original email address or SNS provider. Sign out of unrelated social accounts in the browser, then sign in again to the intended Epic Seven account. If access still fails, recover the existing account through the official support process before attempting a Steam transfer.
The account transferred but the game shows unexpected data
Sign out completely, close the Steam client, and reopen it before checking the linked STOVE identity again. If the account remains incorrect, record the exact account used, the transfer confirmation, and the missing data, then contact Customer Service. Do not submit a second transfer request while the first result is unresolved.
Post-transfer checklist
Use this checklist once the transfer is complete:
- The Steam listing shows the game as available in your region.
- The PC meets the listed Windows, processor, memory, graphics, DirectX, and storage requirements.
- You can sign in to the existing Epic Seven account outside Steam.
- The official STOVE guide confirms the transfer to Simple Login (Steam).
- You launch the game with the Steam-linked STOVE identity, not a different social login.
- Your expected progress, unclaimed rewards, event items, and Epic Pass progress are present.
- You can still access the same account on STOVE PC or mobile.
Important timing and promotion caveat
Smilegate announced anniversary events in August 2026 that offered up to 1,260 Free Covenant Summons, with the maximum described as beginning August 27. That was a time-limited promotion, not a permanent benefit of the Steam version. Do not assume the promotion is still active when Steam launches; check the current in-game event terms and official announcement before treating it as available.
The short answer
Wait for the Steam release to become available, transfer your existing email or Simple Login account through the current official STOVE instructions, and only then start Epic Seven on Steam. The transfer is designed to retain your game data and lets you keep using the account on STOVE PC and mobile. If Steam already made a new account, request its deletion from Customer Service first; the two accounts cannot simply be merged.
