Nintendo NEW YORK is at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020, on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Nintendo currently lists hours of 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, and ordinary shopping and browsing usually do not require a reservation. The B, D, F, and M trains stop at 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center.
Plan it as more than a quick merchandise stop: the store combines shopping with interactive gaming areas, demonstrations, Nintendo Showcase displays, and occasional launch or promotional events. Check Nintendo’s live store and event information on the day you travel, because holidays, special programming, and event-entry rules can change the normal walk-in experience.

Where Nintendo NEW YORK is located
Use 10 Rockefeller Plaza as your map destination. Searching only for “Nintendo store Fifth Avenue” can produce a less precise result because the store is in the Rockefeller Center complex, not directly on Fifth Avenue. The storefront is on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
Rockefeller Center is a large complex with multiple entrances, attractions, shops, and underground connections. Give your map app the full street address, then follow its walking directions to the Nintendo entrance rather than assuming that every Rockefeller Center entrance leads directly to the store.
What the address means for your itinerary
- The location is in Midtown Manhattan, close to other Rockefeller Center sights and several subway lines.
- You can visit the store as a standalone stop without buying an attraction ticket.
- Combining it with another Rockefeller Center activity is possible, but each attraction has its own hours, admission rules, and timing.
Hours: use Nintendo’s listing, then verify before leaving
Nintendo’s current store listing posts the following regular schedule:
| Day | Hours listed by Nintendo |
|---|---|
| Monday–Saturday | 10 a.m.–8 p.m. |
| Sunday | 11 a.m.–7 p.m. |
A Rockefeller Center tenant page currently displays 11 a.m.–7 p.m. every day, which conflicts with Nintendo’s own listing. For planning purposes, treat Nintendo’s page as the controlling schedule and recheck it on the day of your visit. The discrepancy is especially important if you plan to arrive at 10 a.m. on a weekday or Saturday.
Why the posted schedule may not be the whole story
Regular hours do not guarantee an unchanged entrance experience. Holiday schedules, game launches, promotional activities, and other special programming can alter opening time, create a temporary line, or limit access to part of the store. A posted closing time also does not guarantee that every interactive feature remains available until the final minute.
Choosing a time to go
An early arrival gives you more of the day if you want to browse merchandise and try interactive areas. A later visit may fit better with other Midtown plans, but leave enough time before closing for shopping and demonstrations. Nintendo does not publish a reliable official average visit duration or average wait time, so build your schedule around the activities you actually want rather than a fixed number of minutes.
How to get to Nintendo New York by subway
Recommended stop: 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center
- Take the B, D, F, or M train to 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center.
- Once you leave the station, set your walking destination to 10 Rockefeller Plaza rather than relying on a generic Rockefeller Center pin.
- Walk toward 48th Street and Fifth-to-Sixth Avenue area, then follow signs and your map to the Nintendo storefront.
Nintendo specifically identifies the B, D, F, and M route. Rockefeller Center also identifies several alternatives that can work when those trains are inconvenient.
Other nearby subway options
| Line | Stop identified for Rockefeller Center access | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 51st Street | Requires a walk to the complex. |
| 1 | 50th Street | Requires a walk to 10 Rockefeller Plaza. |
| N, Q, or R | 49th Street | Requires a walk through Midtown to the store. |
Subway service and station conditions can change. Check live transit information before departure, especially on weekends, during construction, or late at night. The stop names above identify the practical area; they do not replace turn-by-turn directions from the station entrance you use.

Do you need a reservation or ticket?
Normal shopping and browsing
No. Nintendo’s official FAQ says there is no charge to visit the store and that reservations are not typically required except for special events. You can normally arrive during posted hours, browse, shop, and use available interactive features without purchasing admission.
Organized groups
If you are bringing a school group, tour, club, or other organized party, contact Nintendo before arriving at NintendoNYC@noa.nintendo.com. The store does not have a private party room. Nintendo says a small group may receive recommendations for a non-peak time within normal store operations, but that is not the same as a guaranteed private booking or reserved tour.
Special events and Warp Pipe Passes
Event entry can be different from a normal visit. Nintendo’s FAQ explains that a free Nintendo Account may be required to reserve a Warp Pipe Pass. Each attendee generally needs an individual pass, while children aged six and under can attend with a parent or guardian who has a pass.
Read the specific event listing before traveling. It should determine whether a pass is needed, when reservations open, where to line up, and whether the event has capacity limits. Do not assume that a free event is automatically walk-in or that a normal store visit grants access to an event queue.

Nintendo NEW YORK combines retail space with interactive features. Nintendo says Ambassadors can guide visitors through interactive gaming areas for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, and Nintendo Switch Lite; provide hands-on demonstrations; help with shopping; and explain items in the Nintendo Showcase.
Shopping categories
The store page highlights exclusive collections, games, systems, accessories, apparel, and character merchandise. A practical way to plan is to decide whether your priority is a console or game, a gift, clothing and accessories, or simply the in-store experience. Inventory and prices can change, so do not build a travel plan around a particular item being available.
The most defensible expectation is that you will see Nintendo Switch consoles and related products, but the store does not guarantee every item that may appear in online marketplace searches. If you need a specific model, color, edition, or accessory, contact the store or check its current information rather than assuming it is in stock.

- Play your way with the Nintendo Switch gaming system. Whether you’re at home or on the go, solo or with friends, the Nintendo Switch system is designed to fit your life. Dock your Nintendo Switch to enjoy HD gaming on your TV. Heading out? Just undock your console and keep playing in handheld mode
- This model includes battery life of approximately 4.5 - 9 hours.
- The battery life will depend on the games you play. For instance, the battery will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (games sold separately)
- Model number HAC 001( 01)
Interactive areas and demonstrations
Interactive areas make the visit different from an ordinary game shop. Ambassadors may demonstrate systems, explain features, and help visitors understand products in the Nintendo Showcase. Availability can depend on staffing, demand, maintenance, or event setup, so treat hands-on play as an included possibility rather than a timed reservation.

Rockefeller Center describes the tenant as a two-level, 10,000-square-foot interactive experience. That description is promotional and undated, not a published measurement of current visitor capacity or a promise that every area will be open during your visit. Use it to understand the intended scale: plan time to explore more than one retail section instead of expecting a single counter.
Accessibility and support for specific needs
Rockefeller Center’s visitor information describes the wider complex as ADA accessible, with power-assist entrances, accessible routes, elevators, accessible restrooms in its attractions, and service-animal policies for the site.
Those statements apply to Rockefeller Center and its attractions generally. Nintendo’s reviewed store pages do not publish detailed information about aisle widths, seating, sensory conditions, queue accommodations, or the accessibility of every interactive station inside Nintendo NEW YORK.
How to confirm what you need
If you use a wheelchair or mobility device, need a quieter arrangement, require seating, have a service-animal question, or need another accommodation, contact the store before traveling:
Recommended Free Tools
- Phone: (646) 459-0800
- Email: NintendoNYC@noa.nintendo.com
Describe the specific assistance you need and ask about the entrance, route, queue, restrooms, and interactive areas relevant to your visit. Asking about a particular feature is more useful than relying on a general “accessible” label, because complex-wide access information does not document every store operation.
A practical planning checklist
- Confirm the date and hours. Check Nintendo’s current store listing on the day you plan to go. Pay particular attention to holidays, launch events, and the Sunday opening time.
- Save the exact address. Enter 10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020 in your map app.
- Choose your subway route. The B, D, F, and M trains stop at 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center. Consider the 6 at 51st Street, 1 at 50th Street, or N, Q, and R at 49th Street if they fit your route better.
- Decide whether you are visiting normally or for an event. A routine visit is generally walk-in and free; a special event may require a Nintendo Account and Warp Pipe Pass.
- Contact the store about group or accessibility needs. Use NintendoNYC@noa.nintendo.com for organized groups and specific accommodation questions. Call (646) 459-0800 if a phone conversation is more practical.
- Set a realistic objective. Allow time for merchandise, demonstrations, interactive areas, and the Nintendo Showcase instead of treating the stop as a guaranteed quick purchase.
- Check inventory expectations. Specific products, editions, and colors are not guaranteed. Avoid promising a purchase to someone else until you have confirmed availability.
- Check event information again before departure. Temporary lines or entry rules can appear even when the store’s regular schedule has not changed.
How to combine the store with other Midtown activities
Nintendo NEW YORK is a useful anchor for a Midtown itinerary because visiting the store is free and the location is near other Rockefeller Center attractions. However, free store entry does not include admission to those attractions.

Using a generic map result
Problem: A map search for “Nintendo NYC” may emphasize a neighborhood or a broad Fifth Avenue result.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFix: Navigate to 10 Rockefeller Plaza and verify that your walking route ends at 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
Relying on a third-party hours page
Problem: Rockefeller Center’s tenant page currently shows 11 a.m.–7 p.m. every day, while Nintendo lists longer Monday–Saturday hours.
Fix: Use Nintendo’s listing as the primary schedule and recheck on the day of travel.
Assuming a free event is walk-in
Problem: Free admission to the store does not automatically provide entry to a limited-capacity event.
Fix: Read the event listing for Nintendo Account, Warp Pipe Pass, attendee, and age rules.
Best Value
- One player can use a Joy-Con in each hand
- Two players can each take one
- Multiple Joy-Con can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options (additional Joy-Con sold separately)
- Slip a set of Joy-Con into a Joy-Con grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller. Or, select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
Expecting a private group visit
Problem: The store has no private party room.
Fix: Email ahead for non-peak-time recommendations. Treat any guidance as a suggestion within normal operations, not a private booking.
Assuming complex-wide accessibility answers every store question
Problem: Rockefeller Center’s ADA information does not document every aisle, queue, seat, or interactive station inside the store.
Fix: Contact Nintendo directly with the specific accommodation you need.
Planning around an unverified product
Problem: Online listings can create the impression that every Nintendo product is sold at the New York location.
Fix: Treat inventory and pricing as changeable and confirm a particular item before making it the purpose of your trip.
A simple visit plan for first-time visitors
- Before leaving: Confirm Nintendo’s hours, check event information, save the address, and review current subway service.
- On the way: Ride to 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center on the B, D, F, or M, or use one of the alternative stops identified by Rockefeller Center.
- At the complex: Follow directions to 10 Rockefeller Plaza and locate the storefront on 48th Street.
- Inside: Browse the collections, ask an Ambassador about demonstrations or products, and allow time for the Nintendo Showcase and interactive areas.
- Before buying: Confirm that the model, edition, color, or accessory you want is actually available; inventory is not guaranteed.
- When leaving: Recheck directions for your next destination. If you are visiting another Rockefeller Center attraction, confirm its separate ticket and operating requirements.
What is and is not established about the visit
- Established: the address, Nintendo’s posted regular hours, free admission, normal no-reservation policy, listed subway route, group contact, and event pass framework.
- Described by Rockefeller Center: a two-level, 10,000-square-foot interactive experience. The page does not provide a publication year for that description.
- Not officially published: an average wait time, average visit duration, visitor-count statistic, revenue figure, or complete store-specific accessibility specification.
That distinction matters when you build a schedule. You can plan the route and entry cost with confidence, but you should leave flexibility for lines, demonstrations, event procedures, and the products available on the day.
