The CRKD ATOM+ pairs wirelessly over Bluetooth. Charge and power it on, open the target device’s Bluetooth controls, place the controller in the pairing mode shown in its supplied ATOM+ quick-start instructions, and select the controller when it appears. iPhone, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC are supported, but CRKD’s public FAQ does not publish one universal button combination, LED pattern, or discovery name for every platform. Use the instructions supplied with your unit rather than commands for the older OG ATOM.
What you need before pairing
ATOM+ is a mini Bluetooth controller with a Switch-style button layout. CRKD lists support for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch 1, Windows PCs and PC handhelds, iOS and Android phones, tablets, and select smart TVs. The same basic controls are retained across those platforms, while the pairing destination and menu names differ.
- Charge the controller before the first connection and make sure it can power on.
- Keep the controller close to the phone, Switch, or computer during discovery.
- Use the ATOM+ quick-start sheet or the current CRKD support instructions for the exact pairing-mode button hold. CRKD’s public ATOM+ FAQ does not state that sequence.
- Have only the device you want to pair actively searching. If ATOM+ is reconnecting to another device, temporarily switch Bluetooth off on that device.
Do not infer ATOM+ behavior from the manual for the original OG ATOM. That older manual describes a three-second Home-button workflow, but it is not documentation for ATOM+.
Pair ATOM+ with an iPhone
Step-by-step
- Charge ATOM+, then power it on.
- On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Use the ATOM+ supplied instructions to enter the controller’s iPhone/Bluetooth pairing mode. Hold the documented buttons for the documented duration; do not substitute an OG ATOM combination.
- Wait for the controller entry to appear under available devices, then tap it.
- Accept any pairing prompt. Once the entry moves to My Devices and shows as connected, open a compatible game and test the controls.
CRKD confirms iOS compatibility and Bluetooth operation, but its public ATOM+ page does not identify the exact discovery name, button sequence, or LED state. The name shown can therefore differ from the product wording used in a shop listing. If no entry appears, leave the Bluetooth screen open while repeating the documented pairing mode.

Use the app after the first connection
CRKD’s Companion App, also referred to as CRKD CTRL, is available for iOS. Pair ATOM+ with the iPhone in Settings first; then open the app and allow it to find the already-paired controller. The app can provide firmware maintenance, button remapping, and vibration settings when the controller is detected.
Pair ATOM+ with an Android phone
Step-by-step
- Charge and power on ATOM+.
- Open the phone’s Bluetooth settings. On many current Android versions the path is Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device; manufacturers may label the same screen differently.
- Enable Bluetooth and choose the option to search for or pair a new device.
- Put ATOM+ into the Android pairing mode specified in the supplied ATOM+ quick-start instructions.
- Tap the controller entry when it appears and wait for Android to report that it is connected.
- Launch a game that accepts external controllers and verify the sticks, buttons, and Home-style control.
CRKD confirms Android support and Bluetooth connectivity, but does not publish the exact ATOM+ mode sequence, LED pattern, or discovery name in its public FAQ. Android menus also vary by manufacturer and operating-system version, so use the search field in Settings if “Pair new device” is not visible.
Finish setup in CRKD CTRL
Install the CRKD Companion App/CTRL from the phone’s app store only after the Bluetooth pairing is complete. When the app detects ATOM+, use it to check firmware, change mappings, or adjust vibration. Keeping the app closed while a game is connecting can avoid a second application competing for the controller session.

Pair ATOM+ with Nintendo Switch or Switch 2
Step-by-step on the console
- From the Switch HOME screen, open System Settings.
- Choose Controllers and Sensors > Change Grip/Order. The console now waits for a controller to register.
- Enter the ATOM+ Switch pairing mode using the button hold in the ATOM+ supplied instructions.
- Wait for ATOM+ to appear in a player slot. Press an input and confirm that the console responds before leaving the Change Grip/Order screen.
- Exit the screen and start the game. If the controller does not register, power ATOM+ off and repeat the documented Switch mode from the beginning.
Switch 1 and Switch 2 are both listed as supported. The Switch-style layout remains consistent, so the labels on the small controller correspond to the console’s expected face-button arrangement.
Why the OG ATOM instructions are a trap
Search results and old manuals may mention holding the original ATOM’s Home button for three seconds. That is an OG ATOM instruction, not proof of the ATOM+ sequence. ATOM+ pairing controls and indicator behavior are not published in the public FAQ; follow the sheet supplied with your ATOM+ or the current ATOM+ support page instead.
Pair ATOM+ with a Windows PC or PC handheld
Step-by-step in Windows
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices and turn Bluetooth on.
- Select Add device > Bluetooth.
- Put ATOM+ into the PC pairing mode documented for your unit.
- Select the controller from the discovered-device list and wait for Windows to show it as connected.
- Open the game’s controller settings or a controller test screen and verify that movement and buttons register.
ATOM+ is officially listed for PCs and PC handhelds. The public product information does not state the exact PC-mode button combination or promise that the included USB-C-to-USB-A lead carries controller data. CRKD describes that cable as a charging cable, so do not assume a wired PC connection if Bluetooth is unavailable.

If a game sees a different layout
Windows may expose a Bluetooth gamepad through the input mode selected by the controller or by the game’s own compatibility layer. Test the controller in Windows first. If buttons work in the operating system but not in one title, inspect that game’s controller-enable setting and restart the game after pairing; the Bluetooth connection itself may already be healthy.

The Companion App/CRKD CTRL is not a replacement for the phone’s or computer’s Bluetooth menu. Establish the operating-system Bluetooth connection first. Then launch CTRL on a paired iPhone or Android phone to access supported maintenance features.
- Firmware: install an update when CTRL detects ATOM+. Keep the controller powered and near the phone until the update completes.
- Remapping: change button assignments for supported profiles after the connection is established.
- Vibration: adjust vibration settings in the app when that control is available for the current firmware.
If CTRL cannot find the controller, return to the phone’s Bluetooth settings and confirm that ATOM+ is connected there. A phone can be paired in Settings while the app is closed; opening the app before the operating-system connection is complete will not create the Bluetooth pairing by itself.

Troubleshoot a missing or failed connection
ATOM+ does not appear in the Bluetooth list
- Confirm that the controller is charged, powered on, and actually in the pairing mode shown in the ATOM+ instructions.
- Move it close to the device and leave the discovery screen open for a moment.
- Turn Bluetooth off on a phone, tablet, PC, or console that ATOM+ has used recently. A controller attempting to reconnect elsewhere may not advertise for a new host.
- Power ATOM+ off and retry the documented mode. If the supplied instructions include a reset procedure, perform that procedure exactly rather than guessing from an OG ATOM manual.
It appears, but pairing fails
- Cancel the pending request on the host device.
- Power the controller off, wait briefly, and restart it.
- Put it back into the correct platform mode and begin a fresh scan.
- If the host saved a failed entry, remove or forget that entry before trying again.
Names and LED behavior are not standardized in CRKD’s public ATOM+ FAQ. A slow or unexpected indicator therefore cannot be reliably decoded using the OG ATOM manual. Use the ATOM+ instructions that came with the controller for indicator meanings.
The controller connected but a game ignores it
- Test an input in the operating system or console pairing screen first. This separates a Bluetooth problem from a game-specific setting.
- Close other controller-mapping utilities and disconnect duplicate hosts.
- Restart the game after the controller is connected; some titles enumerate gamepads only at launch.
- On a phone, verify that the game supports physical controllers and that iOS or Android has granted the expected Bluetooth access.
The app cannot update or customize ATOM+
Pair with the phone’s Bluetooth settings before opening CTRL. Keep the controller awake and nearby, and retry after closing the game or any other app using the controller. If the app still cannot detect it, remove the phone’s saved controller entry, repeat the phone pairing workflow, and then reopen CTRL.

ATOM+ size, price, and cable context
CRKD’s 2026 product information lists the controller at 90 mm × 48 mm and showed a $29.99 sale price at that time. Prices and availability can change, and neither figure changes the Bluetooth procedure. A product listing also estimated late-June 2026 shipping for pre-orders; that date was an estimate tied to that listing, not a pairing requirement.

The compact size explains why the controls may feel different from a full-size pad, but it does not alter the host-device menus above. For PC use, treat the included USB-C-to-USB-A lead as a charging accessory unless current CRKD documentation explicitly confirms data and wired input support.
A quick pairing decision path
- Choose the host: iPhone/Android uses the phone’s Bluetooth page; Switch uses Change Grip/Order; Windows uses Add device > Bluetooth.
- Prepare ATOM+: charge it, power it on, and use the platform-specific pairing mode in the supplied instructions.
- Discover and select: tap or click the ATOM+ entry when it appears. The exact displayed name is not guaranteed by the public FAQ.
- Test before customizing: verify an input in the host or a game.
- Maintain it: on iOS or Android, open CTRL after pairing for firmware, remapping, and vibration controls.
- Recover if necessary: disable Bluetooth on another previously used host, power-cycle ATOM+, forget a failed saved entry, and repeat the documented pairing mode.
The reliable rule is simple: use the host’s normal Bluetooth discovery screen and ATOM+’s own current instructions together. Public CRKD material confirms the supported platforms and wireless method, but it does not provide a single cross-platform button or LED recipe.
