To pair OPPO Enco earbuds, put the earbuds into Bluetooth discovery mode, open Bluetooth settings on your phone or computer, and select the Enco model name. The discovery control is model-specific: OPPO Enco W31 uses a case Function button, while Enco Air4 Pro enters pairing mode after a two-second Function-button hold. A powered-on earbud is not necessarily discoverable, so use the documented pairing gesture before searching.
This guide covers Android phones, iPhones, Windows 11 PCs, and Windows 10 PCs, then explains what to do when an old phone, missing Bluetooth setting, or incorrect reset procedure prevents connection.
Before you start: identify the exact Enco model
OPPO uses different buttons, touch controls, pairing gestures, and reset procedures across the Enco range. Find the model name on the charging case, its packaging, or the device entry used previously. Do not apply a W31 button-hold time to another model unless OPPO documents that procedure for it.
- Charge the case and earbuds sufficiently for the indicator and Bluetooth radio to operate.
- Keep the open case and host device close together. Apple describes approximately 10 meters (33 feet) as the expected Bluetooth range for pairing, but walls, bodies, and radio interference can reduce reliable distance.
- Temporarily switch Bluetooth off on phones, tablets, or computers that have used the earbuds before. An old device can reconnect immediately and make the Enco name disappear from a new device’s scan.
- If the earbuds are already saved on the new device, remove that entry before repeating setup.

Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. The Bluetooth steps still describe the Windows 10 interface for PCs that remain in use, but supported security and operating-system updates require a current Windows release.

How to put OPPO Enco earbuds into pairing mode
OPPO Enco W31
- Place both earbuds in the charging case and leave the lid open.
- Press and hold the case Function button until the indicator begins blinking. This makes the headphones available for pairing with a new device.
- On the phone or computer, turn on Bluetooth and search for devices.
- Select OPPO Enco W31. If a prompt requests a passcode, follow the host device’s instructions.
The W31’s case-button reset is separate from normal pairing. If a previous connection cannot be cleared, use OPPO’s W31 reset procedure rather than repeating a short pairing press.
OPPO Enco Air4 Pro
- Open the charging case with the earbuds inside.
- Hold the case Function button for two seconds, until the white indicator flashes.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the device you want to use.
- Select OPPO Enco Air4 Pro from the available-device list.
A two-second hold is the Air4 Pro discovery gesture documented by OPPO. Other Enco models may use a different duration or simultaneous earbud touch controls.
Other Enco models
Use the model-specific OPPO support instructions for the exact gesture. OPPO notes that reset and touch controls differ among models: several case-based models use a 15-second Function-button hold, some models require holding both earbud touch areas at the same time, and W31 has its own case-button reset. Treat the indicator’s blinking state as confirmation that the earbuds are discoverable; simply opening the case or removing the earbuds may only power them on.
Pair OPPO Enco with an Android phone
- Enter discovery mode. Use the documented case button or touch gesture for your model. For W31, open the case with the earbuds inside and hold the Function button until the indicator blinks. For Air4 Pro, hold the Function button for two seconds until the white light flashes.
- Open Bluetooth settings. Open Settings, then Bluetooth. On some Android versions the path is Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device. Turn Bluetooth on if it is off.
- Start a scan if necessary. Tap Pair new device, Scan, or the equivalent control. Keep the case near the phone while the list refreshes.
- Choose the model name. Tap OPPO Enco W31, OPPO Enco Air4 Pro, or the exact name printed for your model. Approve the pairing request if Android displays one.
- Check the connection. The Enco entry should move to Paired or Connected devices. Play a short audio clip to verify that output is routed to the earbuds.
On supported non-OPPO Android phones, OPPO’s HeyMelody app can provide earbud configuration and firmware updates. Air4 Pro documentation specifies Android 7.0 or later for the app. The app is optional for basic Bluetooth audio: pair through Android’s Bluetooth menu first, then install HeyMelody only if your model and phone are supported.

If Android cannot find the Enco name
- Check that the indicator is blinking in the model’s discovery pattern. A steady light or no light can indicate ordinary power, charging, or an inactive state rather than pairing mode.
- Disable Bluetooth on the old phone, tablet, or laptop. If it reconnects first, the earbuds may stop advertising to the Android phone.
- Close and reopen the case, repeat the documented pairing gesture, and scan again.
- In Android’s saved-device list, remove an old OPPO Enco record before trying to pair again.
- Reset only with the exact model procedure. A reset can erase existing pairings, so expect to pair every device again afterward.
Pair OPPO Enco with an iPhone
- Make the earbuds discoverable. Use the model’s documented control. W31 requires the open case and a Function-button hold until the indicator blinks; Air4 Pro requires a two-second Function-button hold until the white indicator flashes.
- Open the Bluetooth page. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and switch Bluetooth on.
- Wait under Other Devices. Keep the iPhone within about 10 meters (33 feet) of the earbuds while the list updates. Select the exact Enco model when it appears.
- Complete any prompt. Apple notes that some third-party accessories request a PIN or passcode. Approve the prompt shown by the iPhone; do not invent a code if none is provided by OPPO.
- Verify output. The Enco name should appear under My Devices as Connected. Start audio and choose the earbuds from the playback destination if the iPhone continues using its speaker.
Forget and re-pair on iPhone
- Open Settings > Bluetooth.
- Find the saved OPPO Enco entry and tap the information button beside it.
- Choose Forget This Device and confirm.
- Turn Bluetooth off and on, put the earbuds into discovery mode again, and select the Enco name under Other Devices.
Forgetting an entry removes the iPhone’s saved relationship; it does not replace the Enco model’s factory reset. If another device still owns the active connection, disable Bluetooth there as well.
Pair OPPO Enco with Windows 11
- Open Bluetooth controls. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices, or open Quick Settings from the taskbar and turn Bluetooth on.
- Put the earbuds in discovery mode. Use the correct case-button or touch gesture, and wait for the blinking indicator.
- Open the device list. In Bluetooth & devices, choose Add device, select Bluetooth if prompted, and wait for the scan.
- Select the Enco model. Choose the exact model under New devices and complete the Windows prompts.
- Choose the audio output if needed. Select the speaker icon on the taskbar and choose the connected Enco earbuds as the output device.
Microsoft says Windows can automatically reconnect a paired Bluetooth device when it is turned on and in range. If automatic reconnection does not occur, open Bluetooth & devices and select the Enco entry manually.
Pairing on a Windows 11 PC without built-in Bluetooth
If Bluetooth controls are missing because the computer has no Bluetooth hardware, add a USB Bluetooth adapter. After installing any driver supplied for that adapter, restart Bluetooth settings and follow the Windows 11 steps above. A USB adapter adds the radio capability; it does not put the earbuds into discovery mode, so the model-specific Enco gesture is still required.
Pair OPPO Enco with Windows 10
- Open Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Turn Bluetooth on.
- Put the earbuds into discoverable mode using the exact Enco model procedure.
- Select Add Bluetooth or other device, choose Bluetooth, and wait for the scan.
- Select the Enco model and complete the prompts.
If the PC has no built-in Bluetooth, use a compatible USB Bluetooth adapter. Microsoft documents the same adapter approach for adding Bluetooth capability to a computer that lacks it.

What to do when pairing fails
1. Confirm power and discovery mode
Charge the case and earbuds, then repeat the model-specific pairing gesture. A normal powered-on state is not always discoverable. Look for the blinking indicator specified by OPPO for your model before opening the host device’s scan page.
2. Stop another device from reclaiming the earbuds
Turn Bluetooth off on the old phone, tablet, or computer, or move that device out of range temporarily. This is especially important when the Enco name appears briefly and then vanishes: the older host may have connected first.
3. Reduce distance and interference
Place the open case beside the phone or PC while pairing. Microsoft recommends moving a Bluetooth device closer when the signal is unstable. Once the connection is established, increase distance gradually and identify any location where walls or nearby wireless equipment cause dropouts.

On iPhone, use the information button beside the old Enco entry and choose Forget This Device. On Windows, remove the saved device from Bluetooth settings, then add it again. On Android, open the saved-device details and choose Forget or Unpair, depending on the Android version.

5. Reset with the model’s instructions
Do not guess at a reset duration. OPPO documents different methods: several case-based models use a 15-second Function-button hold, some use simultaneous holds on both earbuds, W31 uses a case-button reset, and Air4 Pro’s two-second hold is for entering pairing mode. After a successful reset, repeat discovery mode and pair as a new device.
6. Escalate persistent failures
If the earbuds remain undiscoverable after charging, disabling old hosts, removing saved entries, and completing the exact reset procedure, contact OPPO support. At that point a damaged case button, charging fault, earbud fault, or Bluetooth hardware problem may require service rather than another software retry.

- The exact Enco model appears in the host device’s paired or connected list.
- The indicator stops showing the discovery pattern after connection or returns to the model’s normal status light.
- Audio plays through both earbuds, and the host’s volume or output panel lists the Enco device.
- After Bluetooth is toggled off and on, the earbuds reconnect when they are powered, in range, and not connected to another host.
If only one earbud produces sound, first confirm that both earbuds are seated and charged in the case, then disconnect and reconnect the Enco entry. If the problem continues, use OPPO’s model-specific reset instructions before pairing again.

Do OPPO Enco earbuds need an OPPO phone to pair?
No. They pair through standard Bluetooth with Android phones, iPhones, and Windows PCs. HeyMelody is optional software on supported Android phones for configuration and updates; basic audio pairing uses the platform’s Bluetooth settings.

Why is my Enco visible on one device but not another?
The earbuds may still be connected to the first device. Turn Bluetooth off on that device, put the Enco into discovery mode again, and rescan on the second host.
What range should I expect while pairing an iPhone?
Apple describes approximately 10 meters (33 feet) between an iPhone and Bluetooth accessory. Keep them closer during setup because walls and interference can shorten usable range.
Can I pair Enco earbuds with a Windows computer that has no Bluetooth?
Yes. Add a USB Bluetooth adapter, install its required driver, and then use the normal Windows pairing steps.
When should I contact OPPO support?
