Turn on the earbuds so they enter Bluetooth connection mode, switch on Bluetooth on your Android phone or iPhone, and tap the Bluetooth name that exactly matches your Airdopes Plus model. boAt uses different names and power-on controls for different models, including Airdopes Plus 214 and Airdopes Plus 318, so identify the model before selecting a device.

What you need before pairing

Pairing does not require a special accessory or a separate pairing application. The phone connects directly to the earbuds over Bluetooth. You do need the earbuds powered on, enough charge for them to remain on while pairing, and the exact model name shown on the case, packaging, or model documentation.

  • The earbuds: Keep both earbuds and their charging case nearby while you start.
  • The model: Confirm whether your product is, for example, Airdopes Plus 214 or Airdopes Plus 318. These models do not use identical connection-mode controls.
  • The phone: Bluetooth must be enabled and the phone must be displaying its available-device list.
  • The correct listing: Select the Bluetooth entry whose name matches the model printed on your product. Do not assume every product called “Airdopes Plus” appears under one universal name.

Identify the Bluetooth name for your model

Look at the model marking on the charging case, the original packaging, or the product documentation. The official boAt support instructions cited for this guide use these device names:

Model Bluetooth name to select How connection mode starts Pairing confirmation or indicator
Airdopes Plus 214 Airdopes Plus 214 Both earbuds automatically enter connection mode when switched on. A tone prompt plays after successful pairing.
Airdopes Plus 318 Airdopes Plus 318 Open the case for smart power-on, or long-touch both earbuds’ capacitive touch controls for three seconds to power them on manually. In the described pairing state, the master earbud alternates red and blue flashes and the slave earbud flashes blue periodically.

These controls and light patterns are model-specific examples, not a universal instruction for every Airdopes Plus product. If your case shows another model number, use that model’s boAt support instructions for its exact Bluetooth name and controls.

  • 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
  • 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
  • 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
  • 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
  • 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)

Pair the earbuds with either phone type

The overall sequence is the same on Android and iPhone: put the earbuds into connection mode, open the phone’s Bluetooth settings, choose the matching model name, and wait for the connection to complete.

  1. Identify the model. Read the model number from the case, packaging, or documentation. Keep it visible while you search for the Bluetooth entry.
  2. Start the earbuds. Use the model’s power-on method. For Airdopes Plus 214, switching the earbuds on automatically places both in connection mode. For Airdopes Plus 318, open the case for smart power-on; if they do not start, long-touch both capacitive controls for three seconds.
  3. Open Bluetooth on the phone. Go to the phone’s Settings app and open its Bluetooth controls. Turn Bluetooth on, then remain on the screen that lists available or nearby devices.
  4. Wait for the model entry. Allow the scan to show nearby devices. Look for the exact name corresponding to your model, such as “Airdopes Plus 214” or “Airdopes Plus 318.”
  5. Tap the matching name once. Choose the Airdopes Plus entry, not an unrelated device with a similar name. The phone should begin pairing and then show the earbuds as connected or paired.
  6. Confirm the result. On the 214, boAt says a tone prompt follows successful pairing. On other models, use the phone’s connected status and the model’s own indicator behavior as confirmation.
  7. Play audio at a low volume first. Once the phone reports a connection, start a short audio clip and raise the volume gradually. This verifies that the phone is sending sound to the earbuds rather than another Bluetooth output.

Android: open Bluetooth and choose the Airdopes Plus entry

Android manufacturers place Bluetooth under slightly different Settings labels, but the required action is the same: open the phone’s Bluetooth page, enable Bluetooth, and select the exact Airdopes Plus model from the device list.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open the phone’s Bluetooth page. Depending on the Android version and manufacturer, it may appear directly under Settings or inside a section such as Connected devices.
  3. Turn Bluetooth on if it is off. Keep the page open so the phone can display nearby devices.
  4. With the earbuds already in connection mode, wait for the model name to appear.
  5. Tap the entry that exactly matches the model printed on the earbuds or case—for example, Airdopes Plus 214 or Airdopes Plus 318.
  6. Wait until Android changes the entry to a connected or paired state. If the 214 is being paired, listen for boAt’s successful-pairing tone.

If Android displays several nearby Bluetooth devices, do not choose based only on the words “Airdopes Plus.” Match the complete model name. Selecting a different model entry can prevent the intended earbuds from connecting.

iPhone: use Settings > Bluetooth

On an iPhone, the pairing list is in the Settings app. The cited boAt instructions do not require a separate iPhone procedure; the essential steps are to enable Bluetooth, wait for the earbuds’ model name, and tap it.

  1. Open Settings on the iPhone.
  2. Tap Bluetooth and switch Bluetooth on.
  3. Leave the Bluetooth screen open while the earbuds are powered on and in connection mode.
  4. Under the available-device list, find the entry that matches the exact Airdopes Plus model.
  5. Tap that entry once. Wait for it to move into the connected section or otherwise show a connected status.
  6. Test with a short audio clip. If the 214 is the model, a successful pairing should also produce the tone prompt described by boAt.

If the iPhone shows an old entry for the earbuds but does not connect, first make sure the physical earbuds are actually in connection mode. A remembered name in the phone does not by itself prove that the earbuds are currently advertising a connection.

Apple EarPods Headphones with USB-C Plug, Wired Ear Buds with Built-in Remote to Control Music, Phone Calls, and Volume
  • SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
  • INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

Model-specific instructions: Airdopes Plus 214

Automatic connection mode

For Airdopes Plus 214, boAt says both earbuds automatically enter connection mode when switched on. After they start, open the phone’s Bluetooth list and select Airdopes Plus 214. A tone prompt indicates successful pairing.

Using one 214 earbud in mono mode

Either Airdopes Plus 214 earbud can be used by itself in mono mode. To do that, place or keep only the earbud you want to use in connection mode, then select Airdopes Plus 214 on the phone. The phone pairs with that earbud through the model’s Bluetooth name.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Changing from mono to stereo

To move from mono use to stereo, take the other 214 earbud out of the case. boAt says the second earbud automatically powers on and pairs with the earbud that was already selected. You do not need to choose a second Bluetooth name for the other side; the model uses the previously selected connection.

Model-specific instructions: Airdopes Plus 318

Smart power-on

For Airdopes Plus 318, opening the charging case is the smart power-on method described by boAt. After opening the case, keep the earbuds close to the phone and watch the Bluetooth list for Airdopes Plus 318.

Manual power-on

If the 318 does not start through the case, long-touch the capacitive touch control on both earbuds for three seconds. This is a model-specific manual power-on instruction; do not apply it automatically to another Airdopes Plus model whose controls may differ.

Recognizing the described pairing indicators

In boAt’s described 318 pairing state, the master earbud alternates red and blue flashes while the slave earbud gives a periodic blue flash. If your 318 shows that pattern, return to the phone’s Bluetooth list and select Airdopes Plus 318.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Indicator behavior is not universal across the Airdopes Plus range. If a different model uses another light pattern, identify that model and follow its own support instructions rather than treating the 318 sequence as a general rule.

If the earbuds do not appear in the phone’s Bluetooth list

Work through the checks below in order. The first objective is to establish that the earbuds are powered on and advertising a connection; only then should you troubleshoot the phone’s list.

1. Verify the model and search name

Read the model number again. Search for the complete matching name, not a shortened phrase. The cited official examples are Airdopes Plus 214 and Airdopes Plus 318, and their Bluetooth names differ.

2. Re-enter connection mode

For the 214, switch the earbuds on and allow them to enter connection mode automatically. For the 318, open the case; if necessary, long-touch both capacitive controls for three seconds. Then return to the phone’s Bluetooth page and wait for the scan to refresh.

  • [Quality Service] If you find any damage or other issues with the product upon receipt, please contact us immediately. We will handle it quickly

3. Check the 318 indicators when relevant

If the product is an Airdopes Plus 318, look for the described alternating red-and-blue flashes on the master earbud and periodic blue flashing on the slave earbud. Without a pairing-mode indication, repeat the model-specific power-on step before trying to select a device.

4. Keep the Bluetooth list open

Stay on the phone’s Bluetooth screen while the earbuds enter connection mode. Android and iPhone interfaces can label nearby-device lists differently, but both require Bluetooth to be enabled and the matching entry to be selected from that list.

5. Avoid selecting a similarly named device

If several devices are visible, select only the entry that matches the model printed on your product. The 214 and 318 are separate examples, so choosing one name when you own the other will not identify the intended model.

6. Confirm whether the phone actually connected

A visible device name is not the same as a completed connection. Wait for the phone to show a connected or paired state. With the 214, also listen for the successful-pairing tone specified by boAt.

If the phone shows the earbuds but pairing does not complete

Start again at the physical earbuds rather than repeatedly tapping the phone entry. Make sure the earbuds are switched on and in the connection mode for the correct model, then select the matching name once more. For a 318, use the three-second touch-control instruction if opening the case did not start the earbuds. For a 214, switch the earbuds on so they can automatically enter connection mode.

If the phone lists an entry with a different Airdopes Plus number, do not use it as a substitute. The official instructions identify model-specific Bluetooth names, and the available evidence does not establish that Airdopes Plus models are interchangeable or share one pairing identity.

When the phone reports a connection but audio does not come from the earbuds, check the phone’s current audio output selection and play a short clip again. Keep this check separate from pairing: the first question is whether the Bluetooth status says connected; the second is whether audio is routed to that connection.

Pairing one earbud versus both

The documented mono behavior applies to the Airdopes Plus 214. Either 214 earbud can be selected in mono mode. When you want stereo, take the other earbud from its case so it powers on and pairs with the previously selected earbud.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not assume that this exact mono-to-stereo behavior applies to every product carrying the Airdopes Plus name. The cited support material gives this detail for the 214, while the 318 instructions focus on power-on, indicators, and Bluetooth pairing.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Choosing a generic name: Use the complete model-specific Bluetooth name rather than an approximate match.
  • Searching before power-on: The phone cannot select the earbuds until they are switched on and in connection mode.
  • Using the wrong model’s controls: Automatic entry for the 214 and the three-second dual-touch method for the 318 are not interchangeable instructions.
  • Treating an indicator as universal: The red/blue master pattern and periodic blue slave flash are described for the 318, not for every Airdopes Plus model.
  • Expecting a second Bluetooth name for stereo: On the 214, the second earbud joins the previously selected earbud when removed from the case.
  • Assuming a listed device is connected: Wait for the phone’s connected or paired status and, for the 214, the successful-pairing tone.

When to use the exact boAt support page

Use the support page for the model printed on your product when the general sequence fails, when your earbuds show a different light pattern, or when the controls do not match the 214 or 318 examples. The cited boAt pages provide model-specific directions, and the available instructions cover those two models rather than every product sold under the Airdopes Plus name.

The practical rule is simple: identify the model, use that model’s power-on and connection-mode method, then select the identical model name in Android or iPhone Bluetooth settings. No extra pairing accessory is required for the procedure described here.
