To pair Beats Solo 4, hold the power button on the right earcup until the indicator lights flash, then select Beats Solo 4 in your device’s Bluetooth settings. The headphones use the same pairing action across devices; only the Bluetooth menu differs.
Put Beats Solo 4 in pairing mode
- Keep the headphones near the phone or computer you want to connect.
- Press and hold the power button on the right earcup until the indicator lights flash. Apple says flashing lights mean the Beats are ready to pair (Apple’s Pair Beats guide).
- Open Bluetooth settings on the device and choose Beats Solo 4. If Android asks you to confirm, tap Pair.
Pair with an iPhone
Turn on Bluetooth at Settings > Bluetooth, then turn on the headphones and hold them near the iPhone. If a setup animation appears, follow its prompts. If it does not, put the headphones in pairing mode and tap Beats Solo 4 in the Bluetooth device list.
Pair with an Android phone
Open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is on, and select Beats Solo 4. Tap Pair if prompted. Android menu names vary by phone maker and software version, so use your phone’s Bluetooth settings if that path is different.

- Open Apple menu > System Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Put Beats Solo 4 in pairing mode.
- Select Beats Solo 4 from the device list and click Connect.
Pair with a Windows PC
Put the headphones in pairing mode, then open your Windows release’s Bluetooth or device-pairing controls and select Beats Solo 4. Apple’s guide includes Windows PCs as Bluetooth devices but does not specify a Windows menu path, so the precise labels depend on your Windows version and PC configuration.

What happens when you pair with more than one device?
Apple says Beats set up with one Apple device are automatically paired to other devices where you are signed in to the same Apple Account. After setup with an Android device, they are automatically paired to other devices signed in to the same Google Account. These account-based behaviors apply within their respective ecosystems; the guide does not say that pairing transfers between an Apple Account and a Google Account.
If Beats Solo 4 does not appear
- Check that the indicator lights flash after you hold the power button; that is the guide’s signal that the headphones are ready to pair.
- On iPhone, use Settings > Bluetooth and select the headphones manually if the setup animation does not appear.
- On a computer whose menus differ from the Mac steps above, use that computer’s own Bluetooth pairing instructions.
