The POCA Audio PINE Beat is officially documented as a portable Bluetooth speaker, not a pair of earbuds. To pair it for the first time, turn the speaker on, open your phone’s Bluetooth settings, select PINE Beat, and wait for the “Glacial Ice” confirmation chime. The speaker should reconnect automatically to that device later.

If you expected a charging case, left and right earbuds, or touch controls, check the model printed on your hardware. Those features are not described for PINE Beat. The steps below cover the documented speaker, including first pairing, switching to another device, two-speaker TWS stereo, charging, controls, battery care, and troubleshooting.

First, identify the product correctly

POCA Audio’s user guide and product page describe PINE Beat as a portable Bluetooth speaker. The published instructions do not describe left and right earbuds, a charging case, earbud touch controls, or removing earbuds from a case. Do not apply generic earbud instructions to this model.

This guide covers the verified PINE Beat speaker setup: first-time Bluetooth pairing, connecting another phone, stereo pairing of two PINE Beat speakers, charging, controls, battery care, and practical troubleshooting.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

The correction matters because the controls and pairing sequence are different. There is one speaker Power button and one Play button, rather than two independent earbuds. The documented action for making the speaker discoverable to a new device is a two-second hold of Play; it is not an earbud reset gesture.

Quick answer: the shortest correct pairing path

  1. Hold Power for two seconds to switch on PINE Beat.
  2. Open Bluetooth settings on the phone, tablet, or computer.
  3. Choose PINE Beat from the available devices.
  4. Wait for the “Glacial Ice” chime. That is the guide’s confirmation that pairing succeeded.

After the first successful connection, the POCA Audio guide says, “From now on, it’ll reconnect automatically.” If you are connecting a different device, hold Play for two seconds first, then select PINE Beat on that device.

What you need before pairing

  • The PINE Beat speaker with sufficient charge.
  • A phone, tablet, or computer with Bluetooth enabled.
  • The speaker powered on and within normal Bluetooth range of the device.
  • A quiet enough environment to hear the startup and pairing chimes.

For a first connection, no separate pairing command is required: the guide says the speaker automatically enters pairing mode when it is switched on. Keep the phone near the speaker while its Bluetooth list refreshes. If PINE Beat was already connected to another device, use the manual new-device procedure rather than waiting for automatic discovery.

How to pair PINE Beat with a phone for the first time

  1. Power on the speaker. Hold the Power button for two seconds. The guide describes a startup chime and a flashing white LED.
  2. Open Bluetooth settings on your phone. On most phones this is Settings > Bluetooth; the exact menu name can vary by operating-system version.
  3. Enable Bluetooth if it is off, then wait for nearby devices to appear.
  4. Select “PINE Beat.” Tap the device name when it appears in the available-device list. Select the entry that matches that spelling rather than an unrelated speaker or previously saved device.
  5. Confirm the connection. The POCA Audio guide says, “You’ll hear a Glacial Ice chime when successfully paired.”

Once paired, start audio from the phone and adjust volume either from the phone or with the speaker’s volume controls. If the phone reports that it is connected but you hear no chime, wait a moment and verify the Bluetooth status before assuming setup is complete.

The first pairing creates the relationship used for later reconnection. The guide’s wording is explicit that PINE Beat will reconnect automatically in the future. Automatic reconnection still depends on Bluetooth being enabled and the previously paired device being available; if you are deliberately using a different device, enter pairing mode manually.

How to pair a new device

If PINE Beat is already paired with one device and you want to connect a different phone, tablet, or computer, place the speaker into pairing mode manually:

  1. Turn the speaker on.
  2. Hold the Play button for two seconds. This is the documented command for entering pairing mode for a new device.
  3. On the new device, open Settings > Bluetooth.
  4. Select PINE Beat from the device list.
  5. Wait for the “Glacial Ice” chime before playing audio.

Pairing a new device is not the same as pairing two speakers together. The two-second Play hold makes the speaker available in the Bluetooth list; it does not create a stereo link. For TWS, use the separate two-speaker sequence below.

If the old phone is nearby and actively connected, temporarily disconnect it or turn off its Bluetooth while you pair the new device. The TWS instructions specifically require that only one phone be connected during stereo setup, and the same precaution avoids a competing connection when changing phones.

First pairing, new-device pairing, and TWS: which path applies?

Goal What you need Button sequence Phone connection
First connection One PINE Beat and one source device Power on; the speaker enters pairing mode automatically Select PINE Beat in Bluetooth settings
Connect another device One PINE Beat and a new source device Hold Play for two seconds Select PINE Beat after it becomes discoverable
TWS stereo Two PINE Beat speakers and one source device Double-press Play on each speaker Connect the phone to one speaker; only one phone should be connected

This is the useful comparison for PINE Beat. The product documentation does not establish separate earbuds, earbud modes, or an earbud-versus-speaker feature set.

Pair two PINE Beat speakers in TWS stereo mode

The PINE Beat guide calls its two-speaker stereo feature TWS. You need two PINE Beat speakers and one phone or other source device. TWS is a speaker-to-speaker link, so do not try to pair both speakers independently to the same phone before starting.

  1. Power on both PINE Beat speakers.
  2. Connect your phone to one of the speakers using the normal Bluetooth procedure.
  3. Make sure only one phone or source device is connected during setup.
  4. Double-press the Play button on the first speaker.
  5. Double-press the Play button on the second speaker.
  6. Wait for the pairing sound indicating that the two speakers have linked.

After the TWS link is established, play audio from the phone connected to the system. If the speakers do not link, check that both are powered on, that the Play button was double-pressed on each one, and that no second phone is connected. A single tap or a two-second hold is not the documented TWS command.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When you want to return to one-speaker use, stop using the second speaker and connect the phone to the speaker you intend to use. The guide does not provide an earbud-style left/right reset procedure, so avoid searching for one.

Power, playback, volume, and EQ controls

Action Documented control Result
Power on or off Hold Power for two seconds Power-on chime and flashing white LED; the LED turns off when powered down
Play or pause Tap Play once Toggles playback
Change track Tap the volume/track button Moves through tracks according to the button used
Adjust volume Hold the volume/track button Raises or lowers volume according to the button used
Change equalizer mode Tap EQ Cycles Outdoor, Extra Bass, Audiobook, and Indoor modes
Enter Bluetooth pairing mode for another device Hold Play for two seconds Makes PINE Beat available for selection in Bluetooth settings

The exact direction of track and volume changes depends on which of the two volume/track buttons you press. The guide documents tap for navigation and hold for volume adjustment; it does not describe earbud-style touch gestures.

The EQ button cycles four named modes: Outdoor, Extra Bass, Audiobook, and Indoor. These are selectable listening profiles, not separate Bluetooth connections. If playback appears unchanged, press EQ again to move through the cycle and listen for the mode change.

Charge the PINE Beat safely

  1. Find the silicone cover at the rear of the speaker.
  2. Open the cover and connect the included USB-C cable.
  3. Use a 5 V, 2.4 A supply as specified in the POCA Audio guide.
  4. Keep the cable and charging connection dry while charging.
  5. Close the silicone tab after disconnecting the cable.

The guide says a full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours when charging at 2.4 A. It also says a USB-C wall plug rated above 30 W can charge faster. That statement is a manufacturer instruction, not an independently measured charging test; actual time can vary with the charger, cable, battery condition, and temperature.

PINE Beat has four battery LEDs. Each LED represents 25 percent of the battery indication, so the four-light display is a quarter-step gauge rather than a precise percentage meter. A partially lit display should therefore be read as an approximate range, not an exact remaining-time calculation.

Do not force the silicone cover closed around a wet connector. Wipe and dry the cable and port first, then close the tab after charging. The charging guidance specifies the included USB-C cable; the product page also identifies USB-C phone-charging support as a feature, but it does not provide a separate phone-charging procedure or performance figure.

Battery replacement and water protection

The manufacturer describes the battery as user-replaceable. Before opening the battery compartment, turn the speaker upside down and then open the battery lid as directed in the guide. Keep the battery itself dry and free of dirt. Do not open the compartment with moisture or debris around the seal.

Before cleaning the speaker, close both the charging-port tab and the battery lid. The product page lists an IP67 rating, but the seals only protect the speaker when those covers are properly closed. Avoid charging while the connector or port is wet.

A user-swappable battery is different from an earbud charging case: the documented replacement access is on the speaker, and the guide’s orientation instruction is to turn the speaker upside down before opening the battery lid. Do not substitute a random battery pack. The official materials identify a PINE Beat battery pack as an accessory context, but they do not establish compatibility for unverified third-party parts.

Manufacturer-listed PINE Beat specifications

Feature Published information Qualification
Product type Portable Bluetooth speaker From POCA Audio’s official guide and product page
Bluetooth Bluetooth 5.3 Manufacturer-listed specification, not an independent test result
Water and dust resistance IP67 Manufacturer-listed rating; covers must be closed correctly
Charging connector USB-C Use the included cable and keep it dry
Charging input in the guide 5 V at 2.4 A Manufacturer charging instruction
Approximate full-charge time About 2.5 hours at 2.4 A Guide figure; not an independent measurement
Playback time Up to 30 hours Product-page claim that depends on volume, settings, and audio type
Other features Auxiliary input, TWS, phone charging through USB-C, user-swappable battery Manufacturer-listed features
Warranty 30 months Product-page statement; regional terms may apply

The “up to 30 hours” figure is a product-page claim and varies with volume, settings, and audio type. It should not be read as a guaranteed runtime for every listening session. Likewise, Bluetooth 5.3 and IP67 are listed specifications, not independent laboratory findings.

Troubleshoot pairing problems

“PINE Beat” does not appear in Bluetooth settings

  • Confirm that the speaker is on by holding Power for two seconds and checking for the startup indication.
  • If it was previously connected to another device, hold Play for two seconds to re-enter pairing mode.
  • Keep the phone close to the speaker while the device list refreshes.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on again on the phone, then search again.
  • Check that you are looking under available or discoverable devices, not only saved connections.

The phone shows PINE Beat, but connection fails

  • Select the listed PINE Beat entry again after manually entering pairing mode with the two-second Play hold.
  • Check that another phone is not currently controlling the speaker, especially when preparing TWS mode.
  • Power the speaker off by holding Power for two seconds, power it on again, and repeat the documented pairing steps.
  • Keep only the intended source device active while testing, so automatic reconnection does not redirect audio to an older device.

There is no confirmation chime

The guide identifies the “Glacial Ice” chime as the successful-pairing confirmation. If you do not hear it, treat the connection as incomplete: check the phone’s Bluetooth status, select PINE Beat again, and wait for the chime before testing playback. A phone listing alone is not the same as the documented audible confirmation.

TWS speakers will not link

  • Power on both speakers.
  • Connect only one phone to one speaker.
  • Double-press Play on both speakers, not just one.
  • Wait for the pairing sound before starting audio.
  • If either speaker is connected to another phone, disconnect that phone and repeat the sequence.

The speaker will not charge

  • Check that the USB-C plug is fully inserted and that the rear silicone tab is open while connecting.
  • Use the specified 5 V, 2.4 A charging setup where possible.
  • Keep the cable and port dry. Close the tab after charging.
  • If the battery compartment has recently been opened, ensure the battery lid is correctly closed before using or cleaning the speaker.
  • Allow the connector to dry completely before trying again; do not charge through a wet port.

Battery indication seems imprecise

The four LEDs represent 25-percent steps. The display is therefore an approximate quarter-step indication, not a continuously updated percentage readout. A change of one light does not identify an exact remaining runtime.

What not to do

  • Do not look for a charging case; the documented PINE Beat product is a speaker.
  • Do not remove imaginary left and right earbuds or hold an earbud touch surface; those actions are not in the POCA Audio guide.
  • Do not invent an earbud reset sequence. The documented new-device action is holding Play for two seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Do not charge through a wet USB-C connection or clean the speaker with the charging-port tab or battery lid open.
  • Do not open the battery lid with dirt or moisture around the seal.
  • Do not assume the advertised IP67 rating applies when the silicone covers are open.
  • Do not treat the 30-hour playback claim, 2.5-hour charge estimate, or Bluetooth 5.3 listing as independent test results.

If you meant a different POCA Audio earbuds model

The available official PINE Beat materials identify a speaker and do not establish an earbuds model with that name. If your hardware is genuinely a pair of earbuds, check the model printed on the case, packaging, or underside of the device and use that model’s manual. Earbud-specific pairing, charging-case, reset, and touch-control instructions cannot be supplied accurately from the PINE Beat documentation.

Look for a model name or number rather than relying on a retailer category or a shortened product title. Once the exact earbuds model is identified, its own manual can establish whether it uses a case button, touch surface, separate left/right pairing, or a particular reset sequence. None of those details should be inferred from PINE Beat.

What do the four battery LEDs mean?

Each LED represents 25 percent of the battery indication, so the display shows approximate quarter steps rather than an exact percentage.

Can I use generic earbud reset instructions for PINE Beat?

No. PINE Beat is documented as a speaker. The verified new-device action is holding Play for two seconds; no earbud reset sequence is provided.

The Bottom Line

POCA Audio PINE Beat is a portable Bluetooth speaker, not documented earbuds. For first pairing, hold Power for two seconds, select PINE Beat in Bluetooth settings, and listen for the “Glacial Ice” chime. To connect another device, hold Play for two seconds first. For TWS, connect one phone to one speaker and double-press Play on both speakers. Charge through the dry USB-C port at the guide’s specified 5 V, 2.4 A input, and keep the silicone covers closed for cleaning and water protection.
