How do I turn on Bluetooth pairing mode on my Harman Kardon speaker?

Open Bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, or computer. Turn Bluetooth on and scan for available devices. The exact menu names vary by operating system.

Select the speaker listed by name. It may appear under its model name rather than as “Harman Kardon.” Wait for the device to show as connected, then play audio.
Do not assume a particular button sequence, indicator color, device name, or passcode applies to every model. Harman Kardon’s general support guidance notes that “All speakers work a little differently.”

Why does the pairing process differ by model?
Some models use a short press on a Bluetooth button, while others require choosing Bluetooth as the input or holding a source control. For example, the Citation Oasis manual instructs users to select Bluetooth with the source control, then hold that control for more than three seconds to enter pairing mode. The Go + Play Wireless manual says the speaker enters pairing mode automatically when powered on. The Luna 2 quick-start guide shows activating its Bluetooth control before selecting “Luna 2” in the device’s Bluetooth settings.
These are model-specific instructions, not alternate universal steps. If the controls on your speaker do not match the general sequence, find the manual for the exact product name and follow its pairing directions.

How can I tell whether the speaker is paired?
A sound or a blinking light can signal pairing mode, but indicators differ across products. The Go + Play Wireless manual, for instance, says its status LED turns blue after successful pairing. Another Harman Kardon support example describes a particular speaker flashing blue while pairing and showing solid blue after connection. Treat those colors as specific to those instructions—not as a rule for other models.
How do I reconnect a device I paired before?
Pairing is the initial introduction between the speaker and your phone or other source. Afterward, they generally remember each other. If they do not connect automatically, open the source device’s Bluetooth settings and select the saved speaker. If the speaker is on another input, switch it back to Bluetooth using its controls before trying again.

What should I check if the speaker does not appear in Bluetooth settings?

Confirm pairing mode. A powered-on speaker is not necessarily discoverable. Try the short press, long-press, or source-selection sequence specified for your model.

Check the selected input. Some speakers need to be set to Bluetooth before a source device can find them.

Look for the model name. The Bluetooth list may show a product name such as “Citation Oasis” or “Luna 2,” rather than the manufacturer name.

Distinguish pairing from reconnection. If you have connected the device before, select its saved entry in Bluetooth settings; use pairing mode when establishing a new connection.

Use the exact model instructions. Button behavior, pairing cues, and device names are product-specific. A universal reset, removing the saved device, or entering a passcode is not established as necessary for every Harman Kardon model.
