To categorize posts in manual mode, create categories in the blog-management panel, assign one or more categories to each post, then filter each blog section to show the categories you want. Publish the editor changes by updating the website.
Create blog categories

In the editor, expand the blog-management panel on the left.

Select the settings wheel at the bottom of the panel, then choose Add new category.

Enter a category title and save it with the checkmark. The help documentation says this workflow supports an unlimited number of categories.
Assign categories to posts

In the left panel, find the post you want to organize and open its ellipsis menu.

Choose Post settings, then open Categories.

Select the category or categories for the post, then save. A post can belong to multiple categories.
Show selected categories in a blog section
Categories do not automatically determine what every section displays. Set the filter for each blog section where you want a particular group of posts to appear.

Add a blog section to the page where you want posts to appear, or select an existing section.

Choose Edit blog list, then open Posts.

Enable Only show some posts and select the categories that section should display.

Repeat these settings for each blog section. For example, one section can show posts assigned to “News,” while another shows posts assigned to “Guides.”
The category filter is configured in the section’s Posts settings.

After creating categories, assigning posts, and configuring section filters, update the website so the changes are reflected online. If a category’s posts do not appear where expected, check that the target page contains a blog section and that the section’s category filter includes the category assigned to those posts.
