To open the Fallen Emperor entrance on Pendola Pass, bring an Emperor Gateway Conduit and use it at the gateway. For the repeatable route, get its blueprint and ARC Couplers from Emperor Payloads during the Redirection map condition, extract, learn the blueprint in Speranza, then craft the conduit at Workbench I.
Get an Emperor Gateway Conduit
The conduit is an in-game item, not a conventional world key. There are two reported ways to obtain one: farm and craft it for future entries, or use a one-time conduit reported as a level 60 Frozen Trail Reward Pass reward. The pass reward’s availability should be checked in the current game before relying on it. PCGamesN reports the pass reward; the repeatable crafting route is described by Dot Esports.

Farm the blueprint and couplers on Pendola Pass
- Queue for Pendola Pass when the Redirection map condition is active. Guides report that Damaged Emperor Relays activate during Redirection. Dot Esports describes ten fixed relay locations, with two active at a time; the map highlights active relays, and red beams can help reveal them. Map-condition availability and relay behavior may change with updates. Dot Esports
- Interact with an active Damaged Emperor Relay. It provides an Emperor Beacon, also described in one guide as an antenna. Use the in-game item name as your guide. Dot Esports
- Deploy the beacon in an open area and move clear. It calls down an Emperor Payload. Wait for the falling debris to settle before approaching and looting it. Payloads can contain the conduit blueprint and couplers. Dot Esports
- Extract with any blueprint and parts you find. Learn the blueprint after returning to Speranza; items found in the payload do not let you craft until you have learned it. PCGamesN
The blueprint is described as a random or rare payload drop. The available guides do not establish a drop percentage or a guaranteed number of payloads, so plan for multiple runs rather than expecting it on a particular attempt. The three couplers are also attributed to Emperor Payloads. Dot Esports

After extracting, learn the Emperor Gateway Conduit blueprint in Speranza. At Workbench I, craft one conduit using these three distinct components:

PCGamesN lists the recipe and Workbench I requirement. PCGamesN If Celeste’s “Sizing Things Up” quest is available and unfinished, a guide reports that its buried payload can provide one ARC Conductive Coupler once. That can supplement payload farming, but it does not replace the other couplers or the conduit blueprint. PCGamesN
Use the conduit at the Fallen Emperor entrance
Take the crafted conduit to the Fallen Emperor gateway on Pendola Pass and interact with the entrance. Guides quote the prompt as “Unlock (1/1 Emperor Gateway Conduit).” Select the unlock action to open the door; the conduit is reportedly consumed, so another entry requires another one. The Fallen Emperor interior is described as a dungeon whose room order changes between sessions, so a fixed route is not dependable. Guides report amplification-related materials and Emperor Modulators inside; an Emperor Modulator is used for the level IV Gunsmith Workbench upgrade. Game Rant
