EA FC 27 progress moves only within the same console family. Use the same EA Account and you can carry your Ultimate Team club from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 (or back) and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S (or back). A PlayStation-to-Xbox or Xbox-to-PlayStation transfer is not supported. Ultimate Team is the transferable mode; Career, Clubs, Seasons and other modes remain tied to the console.
The transfer rules in one view
EA treats a console-generation upgrade inside one platform family differently from a move to a competing platform. The account, platform network identity and FC 27 edition must line up for the destination console to load your existing club.

EA’s published cross-progression wording is specific: on PlayStation, cross-progression is available only in Ultimate Team. The same-family Ultimate Team transfer includes the club data EA lists for FC 27, while a different platform family is not an eligible destination.

What transfers with your Ultimate Team club
When the destination console uses the EA Account that owns the original club, EA says the following Ultimate Team data can move between the matching console generations:

These are not separate manual exports. The destination game retrieves the supported club data after you sign in with the linked PlayStation Network or Xbox account. You should not create a second EA Account for the new console if your aim is to keep the existing club.
What does not transfer
EA lists progression in other modes as console-specific. A generation upgrade therefore does not bring every FC 27 save or profile with it.

For example, an Ultimate Team club can appear on a PlayStation 5 after a PlayStation 4 upgrade while a Career save or Clubs progress still exists only on the console where it was created. Do not interpret the Ultimate Team transfer as a general save-game migration.

Requirements before you start
Keep the original EA Account
Identify the EA Account currently linked to the PlayStation Network or Xbox account that you use for FC 27. The destination console must use that same EA Account. If you are unsure, check the account details in EA account settings and confirm the linked platform identity before launching the new installation.

Stay inside one platform family
The supported pairs are PS4 and PS5, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. There is no supported way to move the Ultimate Team club itself from PlayStation to Xbox or from Xbox to PlayStation. Cross-play features do not change this cross-progression limitation.
Have the destination-generation game
Install or download the FC 27 version made for the new console. EA’s dual-entitlement FAQ says FC 27 releases on 25 September 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It also says qualifying physical and digital purchases receive the corresponding-generation upgrade, subject to the platform and disc-drive conditions described below.
Check a physical-disc limitation
A physical upgrade requires a destination console with a disc drive. Keep the original disc available when the upgraded version requires it for ownership verification. A disc-free console cannot use a disc-based entitlement in the same way as a model with a drive; confirm the edition and platform terms before relying on a physical upgrade.

- Leave the existing account intact. Do not unlink the PSN account from the EA Account that owns the FC 27 club.
- Sign in on the PS5. Use the corresponding PlayStation Network account that was linked to that EA Account on the PS4.
- Install the PS5 edition. Download the digital entitlement or install the eligible physical upgrade. If the entitlement is disc-based, use a PS5 model with a disc drive and keep the disc available.
- Launch FC 27. Allow the game to use the EA Account associated with the signed-in PSN account rather than creating or selecting a different EA identity.
- Open Ultimate Team. Enter the mode after the game reaches the main menu. With the same EA Account and the supported PlayStation family, your club and the listed transferable data should load.
- Verify the club. Check your squad, items, coins, FC Points, match record and leaderboard placement. These are the data categories EA identifies as transferable; Career and Clubs data should not be used as a test because those modes are console-specific.
Moving back from PS5 to PS4
The direction can be reversed. Sign in on the PS4 with the same PSN account linked to the same EA Account, install the PS4 version, and open Ultimate Team. The supported Ultimate Team data is shared across the PS4–PS5 family, but progress created in non-transferable modes remains tied to its original console.

Step-by-step: move from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S
- Retain the EA Account that owns the club. Do not detach the Xbox account as part of the upgrade.
- Use the matching Xbox account on the Series console. Sign in with the Xbox identity that was linked to the original EA Account.
- Install the Series X|S version. Download the eligible digital version or use the physical upgrade. A disc-based entitlement requires a Series X console with a disc drive when the disc is needed for verification.
- Start FC 27 and accept the existing account. If prompted to sign in, use the EA credentials associated with the Xbox account rather than registering a new account.
- Enter Ultimate Team. The same-family link should bring across the club data EA lists: players, items, coins, FC Points, records and leaderboard placement.
- Check the result in-game. Confirm the club before spending points or making changes. A missing club usually indicates an account, platform-persona or edition mismatch, not a need to unlink accounts.
Moving back from Xbox Series X|S to Xbox One
Install the Xbox One version and sign in with the same Xbox and EA accounts. Ultimate Team remains the supported transferable mode across the Xbox One–Series X|S family. Career, Clubs and other console-specific progress does not become shared simply because both consoles use the same Xbox identity.
Digital and physical purchases: what dual entitlement changes
Dual entitlement concerns access to the corresponding-generation FC 27 edition; it does not turn every game mode into cross-generation cloud progress. EA’s official FAQ states that both physical and digital purchases qualify for the corresponding-generation upgrade, with platform conditions.

If the store offers several FC 27 editions, select the version for the destination generation. Installing an edition for the wrong generation can make it appear that the upgrade or club is missing even when the account is correct.
Fix the wrong club or platform persona in Web App or Companion App
EA documents a platform-persona control for cases where the Web App or Companion App displays the wrong active platform. Before changing account links, open the app’s Settings > Change control and select the intended active platform. This is an account-view correction, not a way to convert a PlayStation club into an Xbox club.

- Sign in to the Web App or Companion App with the EA Account used by the FC 27 club.
- Open Settings.
- Select Change control.
- Choose the correct PlayStation or Xbox platform persona.
- Return to Ultimate Team and confirm that the expected club is selected.
If the correct persona is not available, stop before unlinking anything. The missing option can indicate that the platform account is connected to another EA Account or that you signed into a different EA identity.

EA explicitly warns that unlinking a platform account and attaching it to another EA Account does not move game progress. Its warning says: "When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your game progress won’t transfer over."
Unlinking can also remove access to game progress, downloadable content, memberships, previous drops and rewards, and in-game purchases. EA says entitlements such as points and items remain on the EA Account to which the platform was first linked. For FC players, EA also warns that unlinking the active platform can remove Web App and Companion App access.

Use unlinking only for a separate account-recovery situation after reviewing EA’s account-support guidance. It is not a supported shortcut for moving a club between platform families or for merging two EA Accounts.

Troubleshooting a missing Ultimate Team club
The new console opens a blank or new club
- Sign out and verify that the PSN or Xbox account is the one linked to the original EA Account.
- Check that you did not create a new EA Account during first launch.
- Confirm that you installed the FC 27 edition for the destination console generation.
- On the Web App or Companion App, use Settings > Change control to select the intended platform persona.
- Restart the game after correcting the account or persona and enter Ultimate Team again.
Coins or FC Points appear absent
First confirm the platform family and EA Account. EA lists coins and FC Points among the Ultimate Team data that transfers between matching generations when the same EA Account is used. A PlayStation-to-Xbox move is not covered by that rule, and changing EA Accounts does not carry the balance over.
The game asks for a purchase again
Check whether the original purchase was digital or physical and whether the destination console can use that entitlement. A physical corresponding-generation upgrade requires a console with a disc drive. Also verify that the platform store account used for the purchase is the same one signed in on the destination console.
Career or Clubs progress is missing
This is expected under EA’s FC 27 transfer rules. Those modes are console-specific, so their progress does not follow the Ultimate Team club during a PS4–PS5 or Xbox One–Series X|S move.
The Web App shows the wrong platform
Use Settings > Change control and select the active platform persona. Do not unlink the platform account to force a change; EA says unlinking can forfeit access and does not transfer progress.
Common scenarios and the correct decision

Bottom line for your move
For a supported upgrade, preserve the account chain: original EA Account, matching PlayStation Network or Xbox account, and the corresponding-generation FC 27 edition. PS4 and PS5 share supported Ultimate Team progression, as do Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Players, items, coins, FC Points, match records and leaderboard placements can follow that same-family move. PlayStation-to-Xbox transfers are not supported, and unlinking accounts cannot be used to move progress.
