You can point an application’s existing Sentry SDK at an Epure project by changing its DSN; you do not need to replace the SDK. Before switching, account for features Epure does not support, update JavaScript sourcemap uploads if applicable, and verify events on every instrumented surface. The steps below describe a controlled migration—not a guaranteed 10-minute job. The time depends on the number of apps, deployment environments, CI pipelines, and integrations involved.
What changes in a Sentry-to-Epure migration?
Epure’s migration guidance says to keep the official Sentry SDK for each runtime and replace the Sentry ingest DSN with the DSN for an Epure project. It does not provide an Epure-specific SDK package. Preserve existing environment and release values where you rely on them for filtering, regression tracking, or sourcemap matching. Epure’s migration guide
| Area | Migration action |
|---|---|
| SDK | Keep the installed Sentry SDK, such as @sentry/node, @sentry/nextjs, sentry-sdk, or sentry-go. |
| Ingest destination | Use the Epure project DSN in every relevant app and deployment configuration. |
| Environment and release | Keep meaningful values, including release strings used by sourcemap uploads. |
| Tracing, replay, and profiling | Set the applicable sample rates to zero; Epure says these product lines are unsupported or discarded. |
| Alerts and webhooks | Recreate required rules and integrations; Sentry alert rules do not transfer. |
| Historical issues | They are not imported. New events begin arriving after the DSN change. |
How to switch the application safely
- Create an Epure project. Run Epure and create a project to obtain its project DSN. Epure’s quickstart explains the initial setup.
- Inventory all event-producing surfaces. List browser apps, servers, workers, edge functions, and separate production or staging deployments that use Sentry. Identify where each DSN is configured, including environment variables and deployment secrets.
- Change the DSN on each surface. Replace the Sentry DSN with the Epure project DSN while leaving the official Sentry SDK in place. Keep relevant environment and release values.
- Disable unsupported event types. Set tracing, replay, and profiling sample rates to zero. For JavaScript SDK 8.x, set
enableTracing: falseas well if that option is present in the configuration. - Retarget JavaScript sourcemap uploads, if used. Point
@sentry/clior Vite upload tooling at the Epure host, and make sure the release string used for upload matches the one sent with application events. Epure says sourcemaps are supported for JavaScript and TypeScript; other languages remain raw frames. - Send a test exception. Trigger an exception through the application’s normal SDK and confirm the ingest request is accepted.
- Check the Epure project. Confirm the issue appears under the expected project and environment. The quickstart notes that an HTTP 202 response can arrive before the issue row appears, so do not treat the response alone as proof that the issue is already visible.
- Recreate operational integrations. Set up the alerts and webhooks you still need in Epure, then verify their behavior.
- Retire the old DSN after verification. Teams that want to validate production behavior first can use the documented dual-send or soak-period approach, then remove the previous DSN when satisfied.
What does not carry over?
Historical issue data and grouping
Epure’s guide says historical Sentry issues are not imported, so the DSN change starts a new stream rather than moving the old issue history. Keep access to Sentry for as long as your team needs to consult those records. Issue grouping may also differ because Epure uses its own fingerprinting behavior.
Performance, replay, and profiling
Performance or transaction events, session replay, and profiling are discarded on ingest according to Epure’s migration documentation. If your workflow depends on those Sentry features, decide whether losing them is acceptable before cutover; setting their sample rates to zero avoids sending data for features Epure does not provide.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Alerts and self-hosted operations
Sentry alert rules do not import, so rebuild the ones you depend on and reconnect needed webhooks. For self-hosted Sentry, Epure describes a smaller deployment model; its welcome documentation lists two Compose containers and PostgreSQL 16. That does not establish a particular cost or resource saving: the outcome depends on the existing Sentry deployment and workload. Epure welcome documentation
How to troubleshoot missing issues or sourcemaps
No issue appears after a successful ingest response
- Allow for the delay between HTTP 202 acceptance and the issue row appearing.
- Check the selected Epure project and environment filter; the event may be present but hidden by the current view.
- Verify the DSN separately for browser, server, worker, and edge configurations. A browser DSN change does not update server-side environment variables automatically.
Browser events arrive but server errors do not
Check server-side environment variables and deployment secrets in addition to browser-facing configuration. Confirm the server is using the intended Epure project DSN.

JavaScript stack traces remain minified
Check that CI sourcemap uploads target the Epure host and that the upload’s release value exactly matches the release value attached to runtime events. For languages other than JavaScript and TypeScript, Epure says frames remain raw.
