This Is Not For You asks players to map a lighthouse whose corridors loop and whose directions cannot be trusted. The unreleased horror graphic adventure drains blood with each step, making exploration costly as well as disorienting. Interactive Dreams lists a planned 2027 release on Steam; the game is not yet available.
What is This Is Not For You?
This Is Not For You is a single-player horror graphic adventure in development by Interactive Dreams. Its story begins when Ulysses enters an isolated lighthouse after a nearby shipwreck. Inside, he encounters keys, statues, riddling characters and passages that behave in ways a conventional floor plan cannot predict.
The official description calls the lighthouse a maze and says it is larger inside than outside. Travel north may return Ulysses to a room he thought was south. The game’s own description invites players to “Try to make sense out of a dreamlike place.”

Why does the lighthouse seem impossible to map?
The challenge is not simply remembering which corridor leads to which room. The lighthouse can loop routes and undermine ordinary assumptions about direction, so a sequence of turns may not bring Ulysses where the player expects. The official Steam page specifically suggests drawing a map to track items and solve increasingly complex puzzles.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That makes note-taking part of the navigation challenge, rather than a promise that the game supplies a conventional, reliable map. Mark rooms and landmarks as you encounter them, and record what you actually observe rather than assuming that north, south or a familiar-looking passage behaves consistently. Treat any map as a working model: when a route returns somewhere unexpected, revise it instead of forcing the new result to fit the old plan.
How movement raises the stakes
Each step slowly drains blood, according to the game’s Steam description. That turns wandering and backtracking into more than a navigational inconvenience: exploration has a resource cost. The available official material does not specify the full resource rules or how blood affects survival, so those details should not be assumed.

In practice, the stated mechanic makes careful observation and useful notes especially relevant. A route that is confusing may also cost blood to retrace, so players have a reason to keep track of rooms and possible leads while exploring.

The Steam listing describes House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, early text adventures and gothic fiction as partial inspirations; Interactive Dreams’ site also lists Silent Hill. The connection to House of Leaves is an influence, not an adaptation claim. The game centers on navigating a maze and keeping track of space through play, while Danielewski’s work is a novel.
