Check the billing provider shown in each service’s account before changing a plan or cancelling. Paramount+ and HBO Max do not have one universal billing portal established by the available official guidance, and cancelling one subscription does not necessarily cancel the other. If a bundle charge appears on your statement, verify both accounts and the bundle provider’s terms.
Find out who bills each subscription
A bundle label or a single-looking charge is not enough to determine where both services are managed. Each account’s displayed billing provider is the key starting point. The provider may be the streaming service itself or a third party, such as an app store, platform, internet provider, mobile provider, or TV provider. The available instructions do not identify the provider or terms for an unspecified bundle.
Check Paramount+
- Sign in to Paramount+ and inspect the account or subscription details to see who bills you.
- If Paramount+ bills you directly, use the account controls there to manage your plan.
- If a third party bills you, contact that provider for billing questions and use its account or support options to manage the subscription. Paramount+ lists Amazon, Apple, Google Play, and Roku as examples of third parties.
Paramount+’s support guidance dated September 24, 2026, directs subscribers billed through a third party to that provider for billing questions. Where the subscription controls appear, and the steps available, can depend on the provider and account.
Check HBO Max
- Open the profile’s Subscription area in HBO Max.
- On a TV, go to Settings, then Subscription.
- Read the billing information shown on the page. If HBO Max bills you directly, use that subscription page for plan, payment, or cancellation controls. If another provider bills you, manage the subscription through that provider’s website, help center, or support.
These HBO Max instructions are from US help pages. Availability and steps can vary by country and account, so follow the provider displayed in your own subscription details.

Change a plan or payment method
Make the change with the provider identified on the relevant account, not simply with whichever company’s name appears on a bundle offer. For a direct-billed HBO Max subscription, its Subscription page provides plan and payment controls. For a third-party-billed account, use that provider’s management route. Paramount+ subscribers billed directly should use Paramount+ account controls for plan changes; subscribers billed through a third party should contact that provider about billing.
If you are unsure which account a change would affect, check the billing provider separately for both services before proceeding. Do not assume that a payment-method update or plan change made for one account will apply to the other.

Cancel without losing track of the other service
- Check the billing provider shown for the subscription you intend to cancel.
- Use that provider’s cancellation instructions. For HBO Max, the route varies by billing provider.
- After cancelling, check the account for its expiration or renewal date and keep any confirmation.
- Check the other service’s subscription details separately if you intend to cancel that one too.
Deleting the HBO Max app does not cancel the subscription. The account must be cancelled through the billing provider. The available official guidance does not establish that cancelling an unnamed bundle ends both Paramount+ and HBO Max, so confirm the bundle’s terms with the provider before relying on that outcome.

- Compare the charge description on your statement with the billing provider displayed in each service’s account.
- Contact the company identified by the subscription details if you need billing help; use the bundle provider’s support if the bundle itself is unclear.
- Ask whether the charge covers one service or both, what cancelling changes, and when access or billing ends. Confirm the answer against the bundle terms.
A charge description can help you investigate, but it does not by itself establish that both subscriptions are billed together or controlled by the same cancellation. Check each account and the provider’s terms before making that assumption.
