To host Medieval MC [FABRIC] MMC1 for friends, download the matching MMC1 FABRIC 1.19.2 Server Pack v24, run it with Java 17 or newer, accept Minecraft’s EULA, configure server.properties, and make the server reachable through your firewall and router. Every player must use Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2, Fabric, and the matching MMC1 client release.
Use the correct Medieval MC server pack
Medieval MC [FABRIC] MMC1 is LunaPixelStudios’ Fabric pack for Minecraft 1.19.2. The relevant client release is listed as 1.19.2 v24, released November 21, 2023. The project lists a separate download named MMC1 FABRIC 1.19.2 Server Pack v24. Download that server archive rather than copying files from the client profile.
The project repository identifies MMC1 as “FABRIC 1.19.2.” Do not substitute the Forge MMC3 branch, a different Minecraft version, or another MMC1 release. A server and its clients need the same mod and configuration set; mixing branches commonly produces missing-mod, loader, or registry errors.
CurseForge displayed 4,391,796 downloads in 2026 when this information was recorded. That number is a changing page metric, not a permanent popularity or quality guarantee. Check the current file listing and confirm the exact v24 server-pack name before downloading.

Prerequisites before installation
Java Edition and Java 17
This is a Java Edition server. Install a 64-bit Java runtime that is available from your command line, and use Java 17 or newer. Mojang’s Java Edition 1.18 release notes state that Minecraft now uses Java 17, and Mojang’s issue documentation records Java 17 as the minimum for 1.19.2 in custom or third-party setups.
Verify the runtime before you unpack the server. Open Command Prompt or PowerShell on Windows, or a terminal on macOS/Linux, and run:
java -versionThe output should report version 17 or a newer release. If the command is not found, install Java and add its executable to your system PATH. If it reports an older release, install or select Java 17 before starting the pack.
A dedicated server directory
Create a new folder used only for this server, such as a folder named for the pack and version. Keep the downloaded archive outside the live directory until extraction is complete. Also create a separate backup location for the world, server.properties, whitelist, and configuration files. A dedicated folder prevents accidental mixing with another Minecraft instance.
The exact server archive
Download MMC1 FABRIC 1.19.2 Server Pack v24 from the project’s current CurseForge files listing. Preserve the archive until the server has started successfully so you can recover the original files if a configuration change goes wrong.
Install and start the Fabric server
1. Extract the archive without mixing versions
- Open the server directory you created.
- Extract every file from the v24 server-pack archive into that directory.
- Keep the supplied folder structure intact. Do not merge it with a Forge MMC3 installation, another Minecraft version, or an older MMC1 directory.
- Confirm that the extracted files include the pack’s launch script or Fabric server launcher and its mod/configuration folders.
The server pack is intended to keep the loader, mods, and configuration files together. Moving only selected mods into a different Fabric installation can remove dependencies that the pack expects.

2. Run the supplied launcher
Use the launch script included with the archive, or start the included Fabric server launcher with Java 17 or newer. The exact filename can vary between pack revisions, so use the file shipped in v24 rather than inventing a launcher name or downloading unrelated server files.
On the first run, the server normally creates its runtime files and then stops because the EULA has not been accepted. Read the console output; do not treat that expected first-run stop as a crash.
3. Accept the Minecraft EULA
- Open the newly created
eula.txtin a text editor. - Change
eula=falsetoeula=true. - Save the file without changing its name or extension.
- Run the supplied launcher again.
Minecraft’s official Java server guide documents this first-run sequence. Accepting the EULA is required before the server will complete startup.
4. Wait for a completed startup
Watch the console until it reports the server’s “Done” message. Only after that point should you test a connection or edit world files. To make changes safely, enter stop in the server console and wait for the process to close. Never edit the world or remove mods while the server is still writing data.

Configure server.properties
After the first successful launch, stop the server cleanly and open server.properties in the server directory. Minecraft’s official guide identifies this file as the place for settings such as the message of the day and seed.
Settings worth reviewing
- Message of the day: Set a recognizable server name and any rules players should see in the multiplayer list.
- Difficulty: Choose the level appropriate for your group and the pack’s adventure and combat content.
- View distance: Select a value your hardware can sustain. Higher values make more terrain available to clients but increase server work.
- Whitelist: Enable it if only invited players should connect, then add their exact in-game names from the console.
- Server port: The default Minecraft Java port is 25565. Change it only when you have a reason, and use the same number in firewall and router rules.
- Server IP: Leave
server-ipblank unless you have a specific address-binding requirement. An incorrect value can prevent the server from listening on the expected interface. - Seed and world-related options: Set these before generating a new world if you need a particular world configuration.
Save the file, start the server again, and confirm that the console reaches “Done” before inviting players.

Create a new world or migrate an existing one
Starting a clean MMC1 world
A new world is the safest choice for a fresh pack installation because it lets the server generate terrain and dimensions with the intended mod set. Start the server with the extracted v24 files and let it create the world automatically.
Copying an existing world
- Stop the server with the console
stopcommand. - Make a complete backup of the current world and configuration files.
- Copy the existing world folder into the server directory, preserving the folder’s internal files.
- Ensure the world name referenced by the server matches the copied folder, or change the relevant world setting before restarting.
- Start the server and inspect the console for missing dimensions, datapacks, or mod dependencies.
Worlds created with a different mod list or Minecraft version can fail to load or lose content. Do not update the pack or remove mods on the only copy of a world.

Testing on the same computer
On the host computer, open Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2 with the matching MMC1 client profile and connect to localhost. This tests the server process without involving the router or public internet.
Connecting over a home network
Players on the same LAN should use the host computer’s private network address, not its public internet address. The host’s operating-system firewall must allow Java or the server process to receive connections on the configured port.
Allowing players over the internet
- Give the host computer a stable private address on the home network, using your router’s reservation feature when available.
- Allow Java or the server application through the host firewall for the network profile you use.
- Forward the configured Minecraft port from the router to the host computer’s private address. If you kept the default, forward TCP port 25565; follow your router’s interface for the exact protocol options.
- Confirm that the number in
server-portmatches the forwarded port. - Give trusted players your public address and port. They should enter that address in Minecraft’s multiplayer server field.
Minecraft’s official server guide describes the default 25565 port and the need for players to use the public address plus port. Internet service providers can place connections behind carrier-grade NAT, in which case ordinary port forwarding may not work. A managed Minecraft host that explicitly supports Fabric 1.19.2 and this pack is an alternative, but verify support for the exact MMC1 v24 files before moving the world.
A home public IP address identifies your connection. Do not post it publicly; share it only with people you trust.

Client matching checklist
Every player should verify all of the following before attempting to join:
- Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2, not a newer or older game version.
- The Fabric loader and the Medieval MC MMC1 client profile.
- The client release that matches the server pack: v24 for the cited server release.
- The same mods, mod versions, and configuration set as the server.
- No Forge MMC3 files or mods copied into the Fabric MMC1 profile.
When a client and server disagree, reinstalling the matching client profile is usually safer than deleting individual mods until the error disappears.
What is included in MMC1?
CurseForge describes MMC1 as an adventure/RPG, exploration, combat/PvP, magic, and quest pack. LunaPixelStudios’ feature list claims 150+ quests, 30+ origins, six new dimensions, and 330+ mods. Those are the publisher’s pack descriptions, not independent performance measurements or a guarantee that every server configuration will expose identical content.

MMC1 is a third-party modification pack. Its project page carries the disclaimer: “NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.”

Choose self-hosting when you need direct file control and can manage networking. Choose managed hosting when router access, uptime, or maintenance is more important than having the server on your own machine.

Troubleshoot the common failures
UnsupportedClassVersionError
This error indicates that the server was launched with a Java runtime too old for the compiled classes. Run java -version, ensure it reports Java 17 or newer, and make sure the launch script is using that installation rather than an older Java executable elsewhere on the system.
Missing or mismatched mods
Compare the server and client profiles against the MMC1 Fabric 1.19.2 v24 release. Re-extract a clean copy of the matching server pack if files were manually deleted or mixed with another branch. Do not remove a mod merely to silence a crash; Fabric dependencies may require it.
The server starts, but friends cannot join
- Test locally with
localhostto separate a server problem from a network problem. - For LAN players, verify the host’s private address and firewall rule.
- For internet players, verify the public address, router forwarding destination, and host firewall.
- Confirm that
server-portand the forwarded port are identical; the default is 25565. - Check whether the internet provider uses carrier-grade NAT, which can block inbound forwarding.
The world or server crashes after a change
Stop the server, restore the most recent backup, and identify the last world, config, loader, or mod change. Make one change at a time and keep the console log. A clean backup is more useful than repeatedly deleting files from a damaged live installation.
Backups and safe updates
Back up the world and configuration before changing mods, Java installations, server settings, or pack releases. A practical backup should include the world folder, server.properties, whitelist and ban files, and the pack’s configuration and script files. Stop the server cleanly first so region files and player data are fully written.
Keep at least one backup outside the server directory. Before adopting a newer pack release, test it on a copy of the world; never overwrite the only working installation. If the new release changes Minecraft versions or the Fabric loader, treat it as a migration and confirm client compatibility before inviting players.
