To link your accounts, sign in to Twitch, open Drops Inventory or Twitch’s account-connection flow, choose Riot Games, click Connect, and sign in to the Riot account that owns your League of Legends progress. Then verify the connection, watch a live stream marked Drops Enabled, earn the campaign requirement, and click Claim. Watching by itself does not deliver a reward.
What linking your Riot and Twitch accounts actually does
The connection gives Twitch a destination for eligible League of Legends campaign rewards. It does not create a reward, activate every past promotion, or guarantee access to a beta or Riot promotion. Rewards are attached to individual campaigns, each of which can define its own dates, viewing requirement, eligible game or region, and prize.
Riot’s Player Support instructions dated February 10, 2025 describe the essential action plainly: “All you’ll need to do is find Riot Games and click Connect. Just follow the steps from there.” You make that connection inside Twitch, then authorize the Riot account you intend to use.
One Twitch account can connect to several developers
Twitch allows one account to connect to game accounts from multiple developers. The important restriction is that a Twitch account can connect to only one account per developer. For Riot campaigns, select the Riot account that owns the League account where you want the reward delivered. Linking a different Riot account later will not move a reward that has already been delivered.

Twitch.TV and Twitch Prime are separate
Riot distinguishes Twitch.TV from Twitch Prime. The Twitch.TV rewards described by Riot do not require a Prime subscription. A campaign can still impose its own requirement, such as a minimum amount of viewing or a subscription, so read the campaign card rather than assuming that Prime changes eligibility.
Check these conditions before linking
Confirm the following before you start. Doing so prevents the most common “I watched but received nothing” problems.
- You can sign in to the Twitch account you actually plan to watch with.
- You can sign in to the Riot account that owns the intended League of Legends progress.
- The League campaign is currently listed in Twitch’s Drops campaigns area and has not ended.
- The stream you plan to watch is live and displays the Drops Enabled label.
- You know whether the campaign requires watch time, a subscription, or another action.
- You are prepared to claim the reward in Twitch after the progress bar reaches the required amount.
Campaign availability is temporary. A dated example is Twitch’s Summer Drops Fest 2026, which listed League of Legends among participating games for July 10–24, 2026. That event confirms that League Drops can run; it does not mean the same campaign, reward, or requirement is active now. Always rely on the current campaign listing and its dates.

How to link Riot Games to Twitch
- Sign in to Twitch. Use the account you will use for viewing. If several people use the browser, check the profile menu so you do not accidentally connect a family member’s or alternate account.
- Open Drops Inventory or the connection flow. In Twitch, open your Drops & Rewards area and select Drops Inventory. You can also begin from a current League campaign card or Twitch’s account-connection page.
- Find Riot Games. In the list of game developers, locate Riot Games.
- Select Connect. Choose Connect beside Riot Games. Twitch will take you through the authorization steps.
- Sign in to Riot. Enter the credentials for the Riot account that owns the League of Legends account you want to receive rewards. Read the authorization screen and approve the connection.
- Verify the result. Return to Twitch’s connected-account or Drops Inventory view and confirm that Riot Games is shown as connected. If Riot provides an account or connections page for your region, check there as well. Do this before watching, not after the campaign has ended.
If Twitch shows a different Riot account than expected, stop and correct the connection before earning progress. Because Twitch permits only one account per developer, using the wrong Riot login can send fulfillment to the wrong League account.
How to earn and claim a League Drop
1. Join a qualifying live stream
Open the active League campaign and choose a live channel carrying the Drops Enabled label. Twitch’s general Drops instructions do not count VODs or replays toward the requirement. A stream can be about League and still be ineligible if the channel has not enabled Drops for that campaign.
2. Let Twitch record progress
Keep the qualifying stream open while signed in to the connected Twitch account. Open the Drops & More panel or Drops Inventory to see the campaign and its progress. Twitch allows progress toward only one campaign at a time. If you switch between several campaigns, progress may follow the one Twitch has selected rather than all of them simultaneously.

3. Meet the campaign’s stated requirement
The requirement is campaign-specific. It may be a number of minutes watched, a subscription, or another condition shown on the campaign card. Do not infer a permanent League watch-time rule from an older event. The current card is the authority for the active promotion.

4. Claim the reward
When progress is complete, select Claim in the chat notification or in Drops Inventory. Earning progress and claiming are separate actions. A completed progress bar does not by itself send the item to League.
5. Allow time for delivery
Twitch says most rewards arrive in the connected game account within 24–48 hours. Some are instant, while some can take up to seven days. Keep the Riot connection in place while delivery is pending and check the League account associated with that Riot login.

How to read a campaign listing
When more than one League promotion is available, compare the campaign cards instead of relying on a streamer’s title or an old guide. These are the fields that determine whether a particular reward is useful to you:

| Claim deadline | How long an earned but unclaimed Drop remains available | Missing the deadline can forfeit an otherwise completed reward. |
| Delivery expectation | The campaign’s stated fulfillment window | It tells you when to troubleshoot rather than assuming an immediate grant. |
There is no permanent League reward amount or universal requirement established for every campaign. Treat each event as a separate promotion.

What happens after a campaign ends
Twitch’s general Drops guidance says unclaimed Drops remain claimable for up to seven days after a campaign ends. Drops entries then disappear from Drops Inventory after six months. Individual campaign rules can differ, so use the campaign’s own deadline when it gives one. Claim as soon as the item becomes available instead of relying on the post-campaign window.

Troubleshooting by symptom
The League campaign is missing
- Open Twitch’s current Drops campaigns page and search for an active League of Legends campaign.
- Check the campaign start and end dates; an older event may no longer be listed.
- Confirm that the channel is live and marked Drops Enabled.
- Sign out of alternate Twitch accounts and return to the account you connected to Riot.
If no current campaign appears, there may simply be no League promotion available in your region or at that time. The Summer Drops Fest 2026 listing was a dated event, not a standing program.
My watch progress is not increasing
- Open Drops & More or Drops Inventory and identify which campaign is active.
- Make sure only one campaign is receiving your viewing progress. Twitch permits progress toward one campaign at a time.
- Verify that the stream is live and still shows Drops Enabled.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the Twitch account connected to the correct Riot account.
- Refresh the page or reopen the stream after checking the account; do not assume a VOD or replay qualifies.
If progress still fails to register, Twitch directs viewers to Twitch Support for progress and claiming problems.
The reward is ready, but there is no Claim button
Open Drops Inventory directly and look for the campaign entry. If the campaign has ended, check whether its rules allow the seven-day post-campaign claim period. If the entry has disappeared, it may have passed the campaign’s claim deadline or the general inventory retention period.

- Return to Drops Inventory and confirm the reward shows as claimed.
- Confirm that Riot Games is still connected to the Riot account that owns your League progress.
- Check the campaign’s delivery window. Most rewards arrive in 24–48 hours, but some take up to seven days.
- Sign in to the intended League account and check the location where that type of reward normally appears.
- If the campaign’s delivery window has passed, contact the game developer for in-game fulfillment assistance. Twitch identifies the developer as responsible for the delivery step after a Drop is claimed.
I linked the wrong Riot account
Stop earning progress until the connection is corrected. Disconnecting and reconnecting may be subject to the account-linking rules shown by Twitch and Riot, so follow the current prompts carefully. Contact support before claiming if the account cannot be changed through the normal connection flow. Do not expect a reward already delivered to one Riot account to be transferred automatically to another.
Who should I contact?
Twitch describes Drops as three separate stages: earning on Twitch, claiming on Twitch, and delivery to the game by the developer. Use Twitch Support when the campaign is missing, progress is not counting, or the Claim action fails. Use Riot or League support when Twitch shows the Drop as claimed but the item is absent after the stated delivery window.
Does linking guarantee a reward or special Riot access?
No. Linking is an eligibility and delivery mechanism, not a reward grant. Riot notes that linking can support eligibility for certain promotional or beta opportunities, but it does not guarantee that you will receive one. You still need an active campaign, a qualifying stream, the campaign requirement, and a successful claim.
