For English readers, use two official checkpoints: the Solo Leveling comic episode listing on Tapas for individual digital episodes, and Yen Press’s Solo Leveling series page for collected comic volumes. Tapas also has a separate web-novel listing, so never combine its chapter numbers with the comic’s episode numbers. These pages show what is currently cataloged, but the available evidence does not establish a fixed future English cadence or a dependable next-chapter date.
The tracking system that avoids most mistakes
Solo Leveling is easiest to follow when you treat it as four separate records rather than one long chapter list:
- Comic episodes: the English digital comic catalog on Tapas.
- Novel chapters: the separate English web-novel catalog on Tapas.
- Collected comic volumes: the English print catalog maintained by Yen Press.
- Your own progress: a note showing the last episode, chapter, or volume you finished and the exact format you used.
This separation matters because an episode in the comic listing and a chapter in the novel listing are not interchangeable labels. A collected volume is also a retrospective book record, not a live alert for the next digital episode. Keep the format, language, region, and date visible in every entry you save.

How to check the latest English comic episode on Tapas
The Tapas comic page is the right place to inspect individual English comic episodes. It is a catalog check, not a promise of a forthcoming date.
- Open the comic listing, not the novel listing. Search within Tapas for the Solo Leveling comic and confirm that the page identifies the comic format before recording anything.
- Read the episode rows as displayed. Record the highest episode number you can see, the date printed beside it, and whether the row is marked as available to you. Do not infer an unseen episode from a fan-maintained list.
- Record the page’s date exactly. A displayed date tells you when that catalog entry is dated; it does not, by itself, establish a repeating weekly, monthly, or other cadence.
- Compare with your personal progress. If your note says you stopped at episode 42, look for the next cataloged episode rather than jumping to a volume number or a novel chapter.
- Save the check date. Write down the day you inspected the listing. Digital catalogs, access terms, and episode availability can change, so a later check may show different information.
When you report what you found, use precise wording such as “the Tapas comic listing currently displays episode X dated Y.” Avoid saying “the next episode releases on Y” unless a current official notice explicitly supplies that future date. The available official listing does not substantiate a dependable next-chapter date.
How to check the English web novel without mixing numbering
Tapas lists Solo Leveling as a web novel separately from the comic. Follow these steps when your reading is prose rather than illustrated pages:

- Open the Solo Leveling web-novel listing and verify that the page identifies the novel format.
- Capture the chapter number and the date shown for the entry you are checking.
- Store the result in a “novel” column or note, never in the comic-episode column.
- Use the novel’s own sequence to determine what you have read. Do not add a novel chapter number to a comic episode number or treat the two as one uninterrupted list.
A mapping between a particular novel chapter and a particular comic episode requires a reliable mapping source. The separate Tapas catalogs, by themselves, do not provide enough evidence to merge the sequences safely. If a reading guide claims that a novel chapter “equals” a comic episode, verify which edition and translation it means before updating your tracker.

How to follow collected English comic volumes
Use Yen Press’s Solo Leveling comic series page when you want the print-book sequence. The page lists collected volumes, including later side-story volumes. This is a publisher catalog, so it is the appropriate reference for identifying which English comic books exist as collected editions.
- Open the comic series page. Confirm that you are viewing the comic series, not a related novel format.
- Choose a volume record. Note the volume number and whether the listing describes a main-story or side-story book.
- Check edition metadata. Record the ISBN, page count, format, and publisher-listed release date when those fields are provided.
- Mark your physical progress separately. A volume can contain material you have already read digitally, so use a “print owned” or “print read” status rather than assuming the volume number equals your latest digital episode.
- Recheck before buying or cataloging. Publisher listings and retailer availability can change, and different formats can have related but non-identical records.
A collected volume is useful for tracking your place in the print run, but it is not a chapter alert. If your goal is to know whether a new digital episode has appeared, return to the Tapas comic listing.
Identifying the first English comic volume
The Yen Press record for the first English comic volume gives concrete identifiers that help prevent format mix-ups:

A practical personal tracker
A small spreadsheet or note is enough if each row identifies one format. Use fields that preserve the evidence you actually saw:
- Format: comic episode, web-novel chapter, or collected comic volume.
- Number: episode, chapter, or volume number exactly as displayed.
- Language and region: for example, English listing; do not silently generalize it to every market.
- Listing checked: Tapas comic, Tapas web novel, or Yen Press comic series/volume page.
- Displayed date: copy the date shown by the listing.
- Checked on: the date you inspected the page.
- Status: read, unread, owned, wanted, or unavailable to you.
- Edition details: ISBN, page count, and format for a print volume when supplied.

A date beside an existing episode
On the Tapas comic page, an episode date documents the entry shown in the catalog. It is useful for seeing what is currently listed and for building a personal history. It does not automatically forecast the next entry.

A publisher date on a volume page
A Yen Press volume date belongs to that collected book. It can tell you when the publisher lists that edition as released, but it cannot tell you when the next individual digital episode will appear.
A date copied from another region
Do not transfer a Korean, Japanese, or other regional date to the English catalog without an authoritative source for that market. The English listings identified here support English catalog checks only, and no region-by-region release table is established.
A “current” count in an old post
Counts, prices, access terms, and availability are changeable. Treat an old count as a historical snapshot and inspect the live Tapas or Yen Press listing before presenting it as current.
What to do when the listing does not answer your question
- You need the next English chapter date: check the current Tapas comic listing for an explicit future notice. If none appears, say that no dependable date is established rather than calculating one from past intervals.
- You see a novel chapter but expected a comic episode: return to the Tapas format selector or page title and open the comic listing.
- Your volume number does not match your episode number: keep both records. A collected book groups material; it is not a one-to-one episode index.
- Two records have similar titles: compare format, ISBN, page count, and publisher date. The Vol. 1 comic identifier is ISBN 9781975319441 and 320 pages, with a March 2, 2021 release date on the publisher record.
- An item is missing or access differs: record what the live page shows for your account and region. Do not assume that another reader sees the same catalog or terms.

- Check the Tapas comic listing when you want the status of digital comic episodes.
- Check the Tapas web-novel listing only when you are following the prose version.
- Check Yen Press when you want to confirm collected comic volumes or identify a print edition.
- Update your tracker with the displayed date and the date you checked it.
- Label every note as comic, novel, or collected volume before sharing it.
- State the language and region whenever you describe availability or timing.
This routine gives you a verifiable English catalog record without turning a dated book listing into a speculative release calendar. It also preserves enough edition information to find the same comic volume later, even when search results contain a related novel record.
What the official English pages establish—and what they do not
The Tapas comic listing establishes that an English comic episode catalog can be checked there, with entries and dates displayed on the page. The separate Tapas web-novel listing establishes a different English chapter catalog. Those records do not establish a fixed English release cadence, a confirmed future chapter date, identical availability in every country, or a universal relationship between comic episodes and novel chapters. When one of those details matters, report only what the live listing or a clearly identified edition record actually shows.
