Sanrio characters do not move into your personal player cabin. To invite one, repair an empty Visitor Cabin, furnish it to meet that character’s requirements, and wait for their travel window. Complete the visitor’s requests until they reach five stars, then talk to them and ask them to become a permanent resident of the Visitor Cabin.
What “invite them to your home” means
Hello Kitty Island Adventure has separate personal cabins, Visitor Cabins for island visitors, and multiplayer guest cabins. Sanrio characters use the Visitor Cabin system: you make a suitable Visitor Cabin available, and an eligible character may come stay there. A multiplayer friend’s cabin is a different feature, not a way to invite a Sanrio visitor. See the Friend Cabin guide for that distinction.
How to get a Sanrio character to visit

Unlock and repair Visitor Cabins
Progress through the game until you unlock Visitor Cabins; the Friends and Family quest is identified as the milestone for unlocking more cabins. Repair an available cabin before trying to attract a visitor. Individual characters may also depend on friendship levels, other quests, or another character already being present. Check that character’s requirements in the Visitors menu
Requirements vary by visitor. The in-game Visitors menu is the character-specific checklist: it may call for a particular cabin region, certain quantities of items with a specified tag, a named item, a linked resident, or a progression condition. Do not assume one Sanrio character’s setup will work for another.

Prepare an empty cabin in the required region
Choose an unoccupied Visitor Cabin in the region the character requires, then furnish it until every displayed condition is met. Decorating cabins is the game’s stated way to bring new visitors to the island, as described on the official Hello Kitty Island Adventure website.

Wait for the visitor’s travel window
Meeting the cabin requirements makes the character eligible to visit; it does not guarantee an immediate arrival. Some visitors can arrive at any time, while others have recurring or seasonal schedules. Check the visitor’s schedule and allow the game’s travel timing to play out.

Add liked-tag items if you want to improve the chance
Once all required conditions are satisfied, furnishing the cabin with extra items that match the visitor’s liked tags can increase the chance they will visit and raise the cabin’s displayed hearts. The available sources do not establish an exact arrival probability for each heart level, so treat hearts as an indication rather than a guaranteed timetable. Extra liked items do not substitute for a missing required item or prerequisite.

How to make a visitor move in permanently

Complete their requests while they are visiting
When the visitor has a daily request available, complete it to raise their star rating. The visitor system’s move-in requirement is five occasions of completing Daily Quests; see the Move resident guide.

Ask them to become a resident at five stars
At five stars, talk to the character and choose the option to make them a permanent resident. They will live in the Visitor Cabin where they are staying. Some visitor quests require the character to have become a permanent resident first.
If the character does not arrive
Check these possible blockers in order:
- Region: Is the cabin in the region listed for that visitor?
- Cabin checklist: Are all item counts, tags, and named items satisfied?
- Prerequisites: Have you completed any required friendship level, quest, or linked-character condition?
- Schedule: Is the character currently traveling or otherwise available to visit?
- Chance: If the hard requirements are met, do the cabin’s liked tags match the visitor? Matching extra tags may help, but cannot guarantee an arrival.
After a character becomes a five-star permanent resident, you no longer have to maintain their original cabin requirements. Their location may still be limited by regional requirements. Visitor conditions and schedules differ by character, so use the in-game Visitors menu as the final check.
