Install Rocket (RocketMod or a maintained Rocket/LDM-compatible fork) before the loader. Download the Imperial Plugins package, place ImperialPluginsLoader.dll in your server’s Rocket/Plugins directory, copy every supplied library into Rocket/Libraries, start the server once to create its configuration, enter the license key and product name, then restart. If the console reports that the product is not whitelisted, submit the server through the Imperial Plugins Dashboard and restart again after approval.
What you need before installing
Imperial Plugins Loader is a bootstrap plugin: it loads Imperial Plugins products after Rocket has initialized. It is not a replacement for Rocket, and a bare DLL is normally insufficient because the package uses additional assemblies.

- Rocket installed and loading. The original RocketMod project stopped maintenance in December 2019; current server documentation commonly uses a maintained Rocket/LDM-compatible lineage such as RocketModFix.
- The purchased Imperial Plugins download. The package should contain
ImperialPluginsLoader.dlland a library folder. - Your Imperial Plugins license key and the exact product name shown in your purchase or dashboard.
- A recent server backup, especially before adding third-party assemblies or updating Unturned.
Do not start by uploading only the DLL. Missing libraries, an inactive Rocket module, or an incorrect server-instance path can all look like a broken plugin.
Choose the installation route
The file layout is the same after Rocket is active, but enabling Rocket differs between a control panel and a self-hosted U3DS installation.

A maintained Rocket fork may offer both a standard module copy and an auto-installer. Either method is acceptable when it results in a loaded Rocket.Unturned module; do not install two competing Rocket modules in the same server instance.
Understand the required folder layout
Replace <YourServer> with the name of the Unturned server instance, not the machine or account name. A typical layout is:

Follow the layout included in the Imperial package: do not add extra nesting, rename the DLL, or scatter the supplied libraries across unrelated folders. The documented hosted-panel example is /Servers/unturned/Rocket/Plugins; your panel may use a different server-instance name.
On Linux, capitalization is significant. Plugins, plugins, Rocket, and rocket are different paths, as are differently capitalized DLL and folder names.
Install Imperial Plugins Loader step by step
1. Download the purchased package
Open the product page associated with your Imperial Plugins purchase and select Download. Extract the archive locally before uploading it. Confirm that you can see ImperialPluginsLoader.dll and the accompanying library directory. If the archive contains a plugin subfolder, retain that folder rather than flattening files at random.
2. Make Rocket available to the server
For a self-hosted server, copy the Rocket module from U3DS/Extras/Rocket.Unturned/ into U3DS/Modules/Rocket.Unturned/. Keep the module’s internal files and directory structure intact.
For a hosting panel, open the server’s modding-framework or startup settings, choose RocketMod (or the maintained Rocket-compatible option supplied by that panel), save, and restart. Wait for a complete boot before uploading the loader so you can distinguish a framework problem from a plugin problem.

3. Upload the loader DLL
Open the file manager or SFTP connection for the correct Unturned instance and navigate to Servers/<YourServer>/Rocket/Plugins/. Upload ImperialPluginsLoader.dll there, or into the single plugin folder included by the package. The file name must remain exactly ImperialPluginsLoader.dll. On Linux, check capitalization after upload rather than relying on a case-insensitive local computer.
4. Upload every supplied library
Copy the complete library set into Servers/<YourServer>/Rocket/Libraries/. Preserve subfolders and overwrite only files that belong to this package. A loader can fail immediately when even one required assembly is absent, so do not copy only the most obvious DLL or assume that libraries placed beside the plugin will be discovered automatically.
5. Start once to generate configuration
Start the server and allow Rocket to finish its normal initialization. On the first successful loader discovery, it creates the loader configuration. Stop the server only after the console has finished writing files; then open the newly generated configuration through the panel editor or filesystem.

If no configuration appears, do not invent one in an arbitrary directory. First verify that Rocket loaded, that the DLL is in the active server instance’s Rocket/Plugins path, and that the process account can write to the Rocket directory.
6. Enter the key and product name
Fill in the generated key field with the license key from your Imperial Plugins account. Enter the product name exactly as supplied, including spacing and capitalization. Save the file and restart the server so the loader reads the new values. A restart is required after entering the key; editing a stopped file alone does not activate a running process.
7. Request whitelist approval
After the restart, the console may report that the product is not whitelisted. This is an authorization state, not proof that the files are misplaced. Sign in to the Imperial Plugins Dashboard and submit the requested product and server information for whitelist approval.
8. Restart after approval
Wait until the developer approves the whitelist request. Restart the server again after approval. The loader should then pass its authorization check and continue loading the Imperial product. Keep the console output from this boot if you need support; it records whether the failure occurred before or after whitelist validation.

Verify that the installation worked
Use the first complete boot after approval as your verification point. Check each item in order:
- The console’s module list shows
Rocket.Unturnedloaded before plugin initialization. - Rocket scans the expected
Rocket/Pluginsdirectory and does not report an invalid path or assembly-load exception forImperialPluginsLoader.dll. - The loader configuration exists under the active server instance and contains the saved key and product-name values.
- The console no longer reports “not whitelisted” after approval.
- The Imperial product’s own startup message appears, if that product provides one.
A server that reaches the Unturned lobby is not necessarily a successful installation: a plugin can be silently skipped while the game itself continues to run. Treat the console and the loaded-module list as the authority.
Troubleshoot common failures

Hosted panel versus self-hosted maintenance
A panel reduces operating-system work: the provider exposes a framework selector, file browser, and restart button. It does not remove the need to choose the correct server instance or upload all dependencies. If a panel runs several Unturned instances, verify that the path you edit matches the instance whose console you are watching.
Self-hosting gives you direct control over module placement, permissions, backups, and rollback. It also makes capitalization, process ownership, and restart sequencing your responsibility. Keep a copy of the complete working Rocket directory and the Unturned build number before updates so you can restore a known-good state.

RocketModFix documentation describes both a conventional module installation and an auto-installer. Manual copying is easier to audit: you can see exactly which files are under U3DS/Modules/Rocket.Unturned/ and remove or restore them as a unit. An auto-installer can save time on a fresh self-hosted setup, but verify its destination and confirm that only one Rocket module is active. Neither option changes the Imperial loader’s requirements: the DLL still belongs in the active server’s Rocket plugin path and all supplied libraries still belong in Rocket/Libraries.
License, whitelist, and support expectations
Imperial Plugins is a paid software vendor, so budget for the product license separately from any server-hosting fee. The installation instructions do not specify a universal price; use the product page associated with your account for the current cost and entitlement. A hosting provider may charge for an Unturned instance, storage, backups, or managed restarts in addition to the plugin license.
Whitelist approval is a separate workflow from entering the key. A valid-looking key does not bypass the developer’s dashboard approval. Submit the exact product and server details requested, keep the approval message or ticket number, and do not repeatedly reinstall files while the request is pending. If you prefer not to manage U3DS paths, permissions, and restarts, a managed Unturned server hosting plan or managed RocketMod server can reduce that operating work; confirm the provider’s framework version and support policy before buying.

Safe update and rollback practice
- Stop the server or use its approved maintenance mode before replacing DLLs or libraries.
- Back up
Servers/<YourServer>/Rocket/, the generated loader configuration, and your server data. - Record the Unturned build, Rocket fork/version, loader package version, and date of the last successful boot.
- Install updated assemblies as a complete set when the vendor supplies matching libraries; mixing old and new dependencies can create load errors.
- Boot once, inspect the module and plugin messages, and test the server privately before opening it to players.
- If the update fails, stop the process, restore the backed-up Rocket files and configuration, and restart rather than repeatedly adding random DLLs.
Rocket’s plugin catalogue contains legacy software, so an update that changes Unturned assemblies can break an otherwise correct installation. The GameServerKings installation guidance was updated August 10, 2026, while the Sparked Host walkthrough was updated March 2, 2026; use current provider and vendor notices rather than assuming an old binary remains compatible indefinitely.

Where does the Rocket Libraries folder go?
Put the complete supplied library set in Servers/<YourServer>/Rocket/Libraries/. Keep every file and subfolder, because the loader may require assemblies that are not obvious from the main DLL.
Do I need RocketMod if I only want one Imperial plugin?
Yes. The loader is a Rocket plugin and requires a loaded Rocket.Unturned module. Install RocketMod or a maintained compatible fork first.

Can I place libraries beside the plugin DLL?
Do not assume so. Copy the supplied libraries to Rocket’s Libraries directory and preserve their original structure; missing or misplaced assemblies commonly cause immediate loader errors.

Should I use the hosted panel or self-host U3DS?
