The official Tom’s Hardware mobile app launched on October 14, 2026. It is free to install on Android phones and tablets through Google Play and on iPhone and iPad through Apple’s App Store. The app provides a personalized technology-news feed, smart search, bookmarks, push alerts, and access to Tom’s Hardware Bench comparisons. Free users receive limited Bench access; Tom’s Hardware Premium unlocks unlimited Bench use and additional long-form coverage.

How to install the Tom’s Hardware app on Android
- Open Google Play Store. Use the Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet, not a third-party download site.
- Search for Tom’s Hardware. Enter the publisher name in the Play Store search field and review the results carefully.
- Check the listing. Confirm that the title and publisher information identify the official Tom’s Hardware app. Do not install an unrelated news reader, shortcut, or app with a similar name.
- Tap Install. Google Play may ask you to confirm the Google Account, permissions, or another on-screen prompt before downloading.

How to install the Tom’s Hardware app on iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store. Launch Apple’s App Store on the iPhone or iPad.
- Search for the exact title. Enter Tom’s Hardware: PC Tech News in the search field.
- Verify the developer. Confirm that the listing names Future plc as developer and that the app description matches Tom’s Hardware news and features.
- Tap Get. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple Account password if Apple requests it.
- Open the app. When installation completes, tap Open, or launch it later from the Home Screen or App Library.

If the iPhone or iPad listing is missing
- Verify the spelling: the official listing is titled “Tom’s Hardware: PC Tech News.”
- Check that the developer is Future plc.

Search the article archive
Use smart search to find stories across Tom’s Hardware’s deep-dive library. Search is useful when you know a product name, processor family, graphics architecture, or technical subject but do not want to scroll through the personalized feed.
Save articles for later

How to use Tom’s Hardware Bench on a phone

If you use both ecosystems, install the app from each device’s official store and sign in or subscribe through the account associated with that store. Store availability and subscription billing can still differ by country.
Practical fixes after installation
The feed does not match your interests
Return to the topic-personalization controls and adjust the subjects you selected. The home feed is designed to reflect those choices, so changing them is more useful than repeatedly refreshing the same feed.
You are not receiving alerts
Check that push notifications were allowed for the app in the phone’s system settings. Also review whether a system-wide Focus, Do Not Disturb, battery-saver, or notification schedule is suppressing alerts. Notification timing can depend on the operating system and your selected topics.
You cannot find a saved story
Use the app’s saved or bookmarked-article area rather than the main feed. If you installed the app again or changed devices, verify that you are using the same platform account and that the story was actually bookmarked through the article menu.
Bench shows a limit
A usage limit is expected for free access. You can continue with the available allowance or review the Premium offer for unlimited Bench access. Do not assume that a temporary display limit represents a missing installation or a device fault.
