Resource Boosters do not increase Moonflesh. The reliable way to build the currency is to defeat eligible Infested enemies in Eris missions, use Steel Path when its higher listed reward outweighs your slower clears, and complete every timed Operation Alert. Warframe’s familiar loot abilities may add or reroll ordinary loot, but no official source confirms that any of them changes Moonflesh rewards.
What Moonflesh is and when you can earn it
Moonflesh is the temporary operation currency for Epoch Operation: Taubound. During the operation, you collect it in Eris missions and exchange it with Praghasa for event rewards. The operation began on October 15, 2026, and is scheduled to end on November 17, 2026. It is a one-time event, so farming opportunities are tied to that window rather than to a permanent mission or resource table.
The event announcement treats Moonflesh as an operation currency rather than a normal resource. That classification controls how boosters work and is the reason ordinary resource-farming assumptions do not automatically apply.

Do Resource Boosters increase Moonflesh?
No. Digital Extremes’ event rules state: “Please note that as Moonflesh is an Operation Currency, it is not affected by boosters.” The exclusion covers the quantity and drop-rate benefits players normally expect from Resource Boosters. Activating or purchasing one for the purpose of farming Moonflesh will not improve the event currency you receive.

| Effect | Moonflesh result | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Resource Booster | No increase under the published Taubound rules | Do not spend Platinum or a stored booster expecting extra Moonflesh |
| Other ordinary resource bonuses | No Moonflesh-specific bonus is published | Treat any apparent change as unverified unless an official event update documents it |
| Steel Path event rules | The event lists a higher amount per eligible enemy and higher alert reward | Compare your clear speed and survivability before switching |
A booster can still benefit unrelated resources earned in the same mission if those resources are covered by its normal rules. That separate benefit does not transfer to Moonflesh.
How enemy Moonflesh drops work
The official event announcement gives a per-enemy amount for eligible Infested enemies on Eris. On the normal path, an eligible enemy has a chance to drop 2 Moonflesh. In Steel Path, the listed amount is 3 Moonflesh per eligible enemy. These are the published amounts; the announcement does not provide a guaranteed drop on every kill or a percentage for the chance.
Maggots are explicitly excluded. Killing them cannot produce the event currency, so a mission with many Maggot spawns can look less productive than its total enemy count suggests.
| Mission setting | Eligible enemy amount listed by the event | Drop type | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Eris mission | 2 Moonflesh | Chance-based enemy drop | Only eligible Infested enemies count |
| Steel Path Eris mission | 3 Moonflesh | Chance-based enemy drop | Use only if the extra amount does not reduce your kills per minute |
| Maggot | None | Excluded | Do not count Maggot kills when judging a route |
The wording describes the amount attached to a successful drop, not an average per enemy. Because no official drop probability is supplied, it is not possible to calculate a guaranteed currency rate from enemy kills alone.
Operation Alerts are the guaranteed supplement
Timed Operation Alerts provide the clearest guaranteed income outside ordinary enemy drops. Completing an alert awards 50 Moonflesh on the normal path or 75 Moonflesh on Steel Path. The event notice says to watch for these alerts appearing about every hour. “About every hour” is a guidance window, not a promise that an alert will appear at an exact minute.

| Alert path | Completion reward | Income type | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Operation Alert | 50 Moonflesh | Guaranteed on completion | Timed; check the Star Chart regularly during the event |
| Steel Path Operation Alert | 75 Moonflesh | Guaranteed on completion | Timed; requires a viable Steel Path setup |
Alerts should be treated as a priority because their reward is fixed. Enemy farming remains useful between alerts, but it is chance-based and depends on how many eligible enemies you can defeat before extraction.
Normal path or Steel Path: which is faster?
Steel Path raises the event’s listed enemy amount from 2 to 3 and raises the alert completion reward from 50 to 75. That is a 50 percent increase in the listed amount for both types of enemy and alert reward. It is not automatically the faster farm, however: a slower or less reliable Steel Path run can produce less Moonflesh per minute than a quick normal mission.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →| Choice | Advantages | Costs and risks | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal Eris missions | Lower enemy durability, faster clears for developing accounts, fewer failed runs | 2 Moonflesh listed per eligible enemy; 50 per normal alert | Your Steel Path clear speed, survivability, or uptime is significantly worse |
| Steel Path Eris missions | 3 Moonflesh listed per eligible enemy; 75 per alert | Harder enemies can reduce kills per minute or cause failed missions | You can maintain fast, safe clears and have Steel Path access |
Use your own completion time as the deciding measurement. Compare a full mission cycle—loading, travel, combat, and extraction—not just the number shown for one enemy. The event does not publish a recommended node or a guaranteed enemy density, so the mission you clear consistently and quickly is the practical choice.
Fastest documented farming route
The following route uses only mechanics established for Taubound and avoids spending resources on an unconfirmed bonus.
- Confirm the event is active. Open the Star Chart and verify that Epoch Operation: Taubound is still running. The scheduled end date is November 17, 2026.
- Choose an Eris mission with Infested enemies. The event’s enemy-drop rule applies to eligible Infested enemies on Eris. Do not substitute missions on another planet.
- Select the path you can clear efficiently. Choose Steel Path for the higher listed amount only when your damage, defenses, and movement let you finish reliably. Otherwise, stay on the normal path.
- Build for continuous kills and survival. A frame or weapon that keeps you moving and prevents deaths is more valuable than an assumed Moonflesh multiplier. The event does not publish a bonus for a particular frame.
- Ignore Maggot counts. Maggots are excluded, so judge a mission by eligible Infested kills and total completion time.
- Run the mission repeatedly between alerts. Enemy drops are chance-based; more eligible kills create more opportunities, but no published probability guarantees a specific total.
- Check for the next timed Operation Alert. Alerts are reported to appear about every hour. Complete each one you can, because its 50- or 75-Moonflesh reward is guaranteed on completion.
- Do not activate a Resource Booster for Moonflesh. The official rule excludes operation currency from booster effects.
What Warframe loot abilities normally do
Warframe’s general drop-table system has several distinct stages. The Warframe Wiki describes Ivara’s Prowl as rerolling living enemies and Atlas’ Ore Gaze as rerolling petrified enemies. Hydroid’s Pilfering Swarm, Khora’s Pilfering Strangledome, and Wukong’s passive add a roll when an enemy dies. Nekros’ Desecrate and the Chesa Kubrow’s Retrieve act on corpses.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.

These descriptions explain why a loot frame can increase ordinary resource income without proving a Moonflesh increase. A reroll or extra corpse roll matters only if the item in question is included in the relevant drop table. The Taubound announcement does not say that Moonflesh participates in those normal rerolls.

Why a loot-frame test is not proof of extra Moonflesh
Players may see different Moonflesh totals while using a loot ability because missions contain different enemy groups, eligible and excluded enemies, varying drop luck, and different clear times. A higher total in one run does not establish that the ability modified the operation currency.
The Wiki records a maximum listed additional-drop-table chance of 54 percent for Desecrate and says effects operating at different stages can stack. It also notes that two corpse-loot effects do not stack with each other. Those are general loot-system rules, not a Moonflesh ruling. The event documentation publishes no Moonflesh-specific multiplier for Nekros, Hydroid, Khora, Atlas, Ivara, Wukong, or Chesa.
Until Digital Extremes documents or patches the interaction, the accurate position is that a loot ability’s effect on Moonflesh is unconfirmed. You can use these frames for ordinary resources, crowd control, or survivability, but you should not count an alleged Moonflesh bonus when planning your farm.
How to choose a frame and loadout
Prioritize clear speed
Moonflesh opportunities come from eligible enemies and completed alerts. A setup that kills quickly, moves between groups, and avoids downtime gives you more chances to receive the event drop. Area damage, reliable defenses, and mobility can therefore improve practical farming efficiency even though they do not multiply the currency directly.

Use loot abilities for their confirmed benefits
If you need ordinary materials from the same missions, a frame with a documented loot ability can still be sensible. Keep that benefit separate from your Moonflesh calculation. Build around the ability’s known stage and avoid stacking two corpse-based effects that the general loot rules say do not stack.
Move to Steel Path only when it remains reliable
Steel Path’s listed 3-per-enemy and 75-per-alert values are useful only if you can maintain a strong completion rate. A failed mission, repeated revives, or a much longer clear erases the advantage of the higher nominal reward. There is no event rule requiring Steel Path for ordinary enemy farming.
Guaranteed versus chance-based income
| Source | Reward behavior | What controls your result | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eligible Infested enemies on Eris | Chance-based; 2 listed on normal, 3 on Steel Path | Eligible enemy count, drop luck, and clear speed | Repeatable farming between alerts |
| Normal Operation Alert | Guaranteed 50 on completion | Alert timing and successful completion | Priority whenever available |
| Steel Path Operation Alert | Guaranteed 75 on completion | Alert timing and successful Steel Path completion | Highest fixed event payout |
This distinction matters when estimating how much currency you still need. Add alert rewards to your plan as fixed milestones, but leave enemy-drop totals flexible because the published rules do not provide a drop chance.

No Moonflesh appears after kills
- Verify that the mission is on Eris and contains Infested enemies covered by the event rule.
- Check whether the enemies were Maggots; those are excluded.
- Remember that the enemy amount is chance-based, so a short sequence without a drop is possible.
- Confirm that Taubound is still active; the event is scheduled to end November 17, 2026.
A Resource Booster did not change the total
That behavior is expected under the official event rule. Moonflesh is classified as operation currency and is excluded from booster effects. Do not use booster consumption as evidence that your account is malfunctioning.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesSteel Path feels less efficient
Compare complete mission times and failures rather than the per-enemy number alone. If Steel Path takes substantially longer or causes failed runs, return to the normal path and use alerts for guaranteed additions.

An alert is not visible
Timed alerts are not permanently available. The announcement says to watch for them about every hour, so check the Star Chart periodically. The interval is approximate; an absent alert does not indicate a booster or loot-frame problem.
A loot frame seems to produce more currency
Separate Moonflesh from ordinary resources in your results and repeat the comparison over controlled runs if you are testing for yourself. Until an official event note confirms the interaction, treat the result as unverified and do not include it in your expected income.
Planning before the operation ends
Because Taubound is a one-time operation with a scheduled end date, prioritize fixed rewards first. Complete every available alert, then use the Eris mission you clear most reliably for additional chances. If you are considering a Steel Path transition, make that decision from actual completion performance rather than from the higher number alone.
Do not delay a needed purchase or event reward while waiting for a booster interaction to be discovered. The published rule already excludes Resource Boosters, and no named loot ability has a documented Moonflesh multiplier.
Moonflesh farming checklist
- Taubound is active and you are farming before November 17, 2026.
- Your mission is on Eris with eligible Infested enemies.
- You are not counting Maggots as currency sources.
- You know whether your current path lists 2 Moonflesh per successful enemy drop or 3 on Steel Path.
- You check for timed Operation Alerts, worth 50 normally or 75 on Steel Path.
- You are measuring clear speed, survivability, and failed runs.
- You are not spending a Resource Booster for Moonflesh.
- You treat Nekros, Hydroid, Khora, Atlas, Ivara, Wukong, and Chesa as unconfirmed for Moonflesh unless an official update changes the rule.
The practical answer
The fastest documented approach is straightforward: farm eligible Infested enemies in the Eris mission you clear most efficiently, step up to Steel Path only when its higher listed rewards remain efficient, and complete every timed Operation Alert. Resource Boosters are explicitly excluded, while the interaction between Moonflesh and ordinary loot abilities has not been officially established.
