Riftbound: Radiance’s rarest announced tier is the Ultimate Rare. Riot Games says Radiance’s second Ultimate Rare is significantly harder to find than Unleashed Baron and averages approximately 0.025% of booster packs across the entire print run. Radiance also has confirmed music-themed treatments: K/DA Special cards and Heartsteel Overnumbers. Because packs are randomized, neither a named card nor an Ultimate Rare is guaranteed in a pack, display, or case.
What is the rarest card treatment in Radiance?
Riot’s official Radiance overview identifies the Ultimate Rare tier as the hardest-to-find treatment in the set. Riot describes Radiance’s Ultimate Rare as its second Ultimate Rare overall, significantly more difficult to obtain than the Unleashed Baron, and the rarest Ultimate Rare yet. The published excerpt does not provide the Radiance card’s name, so use the current official card gallery to confirm the exact card image and name when identifying a copy.
Riot gives an average appearance rate of approximately 0.025% of Radiance booster packs across the complete print run. As a mathematical conversion only, 0.025% is 0.00025, or roughly one pack in 4,000 on that print-run average. It is not a promise that every 4,000th pack contains one, and it is not a box, display, or case guarantee.

Radiance rarity treatments you may encounter
Radiance does not have just one kind of scarce card. Riot’s overview names several treatments, and they should not be treated as interchangeable when you sort or price a collection.

| Treatment | What Riot confirms | How to classify it |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Rare | The rarest tier called out in the overview; Radiance’s second Ultimate Rare is described as harder to find than Unleashed Baron. | Use the official gallery’s Ultimate Rare designation and current card image. Do not infer the card’s name from unofficial lists. |
| Overnumber | All nine new Legends have Overnumbered variants. Some can also be found with an artist signature. Heartsteel is identified in this treatment. | Confirm the Overnumber label and the card’s collector information in the official gallery; check whether the particular copy carries a signature. |
| Signed Overnumber | Riot says an Overnumbered Legend may also be found with an artist signature. | Keep the signed version separate from an unsigned Overnumber when cataloguing. |
| Special card | Riot identifies K/DA cards as Special cards in this music-themed set. | Use the gallery treatment name rather than assuming every K/DA card is an Overnumber or Ultimate Rare. |
| Special Alt Art | The overview says Special Alt Art cards appear at roughly the same frequency as Alt Art cards. | Do not automatically apply that frequency statement to every Special card; the source specifically discusses Special Alt Art. |
| Alt Art | Alt Art appears in Radiance’s additional rarity slot and is the comparison point for Special Alt Art frequency. | Verify the gallery’s Alt Art designation. |
How Radiance packs are arranged
The detailed Radiance overview lists the following pack slots:
| Slot | Possible contents |
|---|---|
| Common slots | Seven Commons |
| Uncommon slots | Three Uncommons |
| Foil slot | A Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic |
| Rare-or-Epic slot | A Rare or Epic |
| Additional rarity slot | Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt, Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare |
| Token slot | Token, Rune, or Alt Art Rune |
| Insert | An informational insert is listed separately by the overview. |
Riot states that a pack can contain at most one Ultimate Rare and that none is guaranteed in a pack, box, or case. The Riot Games Store describes the physical booster as a 14-card pack and gives a simplified breakdown of seven Commons, three Uncommons, two foil Rares or better, one foil of any rarity, and one token slot. For chase-card decisions, use the detailed set-overview categories above; the store copy is a simplified product description.
What does the 0.025% Ultimate Rare rate mean?
It is a print-run average
Riot attributes the approximately 0.025% figure to an average across the entire Radiance print run. That wording matters: it describes the aggregate production run, not a guaranteed rate for your individual pack or a deterministic distribution between displays.

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11It is not a display or case pull rate
The official overview expressly warns that pack contents are randomized and that averages are not guarantees for a pack or display. Riot also says an Ultimate Rare is not guaranteed in a case. A 24-pack display therefore should be viewed as 24 randomized opportunities, not as a product that contains a fixed fraction of an Ultimate Rare.
Why the one-in-4,000 conversion can mislead
Dividing 100% by 0.025% produces approximately 4,000 packs as an average scale. It does not mean that opening 3,999 packs makes the next pack “due,” nor that buying a sealed display changes the stated average. Random outcomes can cluster, and the published figure does not establish independence between packs or a guaranteed allocation by box or case.
Does Radiance have K/DA cards?
Yes. Riot calls Radiance a music-themed set and explicitly identifies K/DA Special cards. Riot’s own Collectibility text says: “We couldn’t have a music themed set without featuring the K/DA girls.” That sentence appears in Riot’s Radiance overview, published September 25, 2026.
Identify a K/DA card by matching its current official gallery entry and treatment label. The source confirms K/DA as Special cards; it does not say that every K/DA card is an Overnumber, a Special Alt Art card, or an Ultimate Rare. Keep those categories distinct unless the gallery labels a particular card with more than one applicable descriptor.

Are Heartsteel cards in Radiance?
Yes. Riot separately identifies Heartsteel Overnumbers. This is a different confirmed crossover treatment from the K/DA Special cards: Heartsteel is tied to the Overnumber category in the official overview, while K/DA is tied to Special cards.
The overview also says that all nine new Legends have Overnumbered variants and that an Overnumber may be found with an artist signature. That means a Heartsteel Overnumber and a signed Overnumber are not automatically the same thing; check the individual card and signature status in the official gallery.
No additional Riot music acts are confirmed for Radiance by the cited official overview. Do not classify a rumored or fan-listed crossover as part of the set until Riot adds it to an official card gallery or announcement.
How to identify a Radiance Overnumber or signed Overnumber
Because the available official text does not specify a complete visual checklist, identification should rely on the official gallery and the physical card’s printed information rather than on a color, foil pattern, or photograph circulated by a third party.
Recommended Free Tools
- Confirm the set. Match the card name, set identification, and artwork to the official Radiance card gallery. Radiance is set 5 and is listed with 167 cards, including 61 Showcase cards.
- Check the treatment label. Verify that the gallery identifies the card as an Overnumber, rather than merely an Alt Art, Special, or ordinary Rare/Epic.
- Check the character group. Riot says the nine new Legends have Overnumbered variants. Heartsteel Overnumbers are specifically named in the overview.
- Inspect for the artist signature. Riot says an Overnumbered Legend may also be found with an artist signature. Record the signed and unsigned versions separately; do not assume every Overnumber is signed.
- Compare the physical card with the current gallery image. Use the gallery’s artwork and treatment information together. If the image, set mark, or printed details do not match, pause before trading or buying.
- Document provenance and condition. Photograph the front and back, note whether the signature is printed or appears as the treatment shown by the gallery, and keep the purchase or trade record. This protects you when a seller uses “numbered” as a generic sales term.
The official excerpt does not publish a complete numbering format or a checklist of every signed card. If a card cannot be matched confidently, describe it as “unverified Radiance card” until the official gallery resolves the ambiguity.
Radiance product formats and the safest way to target a card
| Approach | What you are buying | Target certainty | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Specific single | One identified card selected by name and treatment | Highest: you target the exact card | Authenticity, condition, and whether the seller has correctly identified the treatment |
| Sealed booster pack | A randomized 14-card product described by Riot | Low: it may contain any eligible slot result | No Ultimate Rare or named crossover card is guaranteed |
| Booster display | Riot’s listed physical display containing 24 booster packs | Still low for a named chase card | Randomized contents and changing stock; the store listing currently says “Out of Stock” |
A single is the direct route when you need one specific K/DA Special, Heartsteel Overnumber, signed Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare. Sealed product is appropriate when you want the opening experience, a broad start to a collection, or the chance of pulling multiple treatments, but the official odds do not support treating a display as a guaranteed chase-card purchase.
What can you responsibly say about cost?
Riot’s official overview and store listing establish formats, rarity language, pack count, and release information; they do not establish a current market price for an individual K/DA card, Heartsteel Overnumber, signed Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare. Do not turn the 0.025% figure into a dollar estimate. Scarcity can affect demand, but the published pull-rate average is not a price guide.

For a sealed purchase, compare the product you are actually being offered with Riot’s description: a Radiance booster is a 14-card randomized product, and a listed display contains 24 packs. For a single, compare the exact treatment, language, condition, and authenticity evidence. The official materials reviewed here do not verify marketplace singles inventory, an Amazon listing, affiliate terms, commission, or cookie duration, so none should be presented as an official purchasing route.
Release date, languages, and availability
Riot’s official overview schedules Radiance for October 23, 2026 and lists English, French, and Chinese releases. A scheduled date is not proof that every region or retailer will have stock on that day; check the regional product page for the language and release status you need.
The Riot Games Store listing for the Radiance Booster Display describes 24 packs and currently marks the product “Out of Stock.” Store inventory can change, so treat that label as a point-in-time status rather than a permanent availability statement. The listing confirms the display format; it does not establish current marketplace inventory for individual cards.
Radiance set context
Radiance is identified by Riot as set 5. The announcement lists 167 cards, of which 61 are Showcase cards. The product line includes booster packs and displays, Seraphine and Evelynn Showdown Decks, a Vault Bundle, and Pre-Rift kits. Those products expand the ways to collect Radiance, but the Ultimate Rare average applies to booster packs across the print run and should not be reinterpreted as a guarantee in a particular accessory or deck product.
How the products compare for different collecting goals
If your goal is a complete treatment checklist, sealed packs provide discovery but also the most uncertainty: duplicates and ordinary slot results are unavoidable possibilities, and the Ultimate Rare is never guaranteed. If your goal is one character or crossover, a verified single avoids opening variance. If your goal is learning the set, a display gives 24 pack openings in one listed format, but it still does not promise a chase card or a particular distribution of Alt Art, Special, Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare cards.
Language matters as well. Riot lists English, French, and Chinese releases, so match the language on a card to the version you intend to collect before comparing images or arranging a trade. A card that looks similar in a gallery may belong to a different language release. Keep language, treatment, and condition as separate catalogue fields.
A practical identification workflow
When sorting cards you opened
- Separate cards by set and language before judging rarity.
- Pull out cards whose artwork or finish differs from the ordinary card in the same slot.
- Check the official gallery for Alt Art, Special, Special Alt, Overnumber, and Ultimate Rare labels.
- Keep K/DA Special cards in the Special category and Heartsteel cards in the Overnumber category unless the gallery gives an additional treatment.
- Inspect Overnumbers for the possible artist signature and catalogue that status independently.
- Record the card name only after matching the current gallery; the published rarity overview does not supply the Ultimate Rare’s name.
When evaluating a listing or trade
- Ask for clear images of the front and back, including the set identification and any signature.
- Compare the image with the official Radiance gallery instead of relying on a seller’s “chase,” “numbered,” or “rare foil” wording.
- Confirm whether the seller means a Special, Special Alt Art, Overnumber, signed Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare.
- Do not pay a premium based only on the 0.025% statistic; that figure is an aggregate print-run average and does not authenticate a particular card.
- For a sealed display, verify that it is the 24-pack Radiance product and check the seller’s return and authenticity policy.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Confusing rarity with crossover theme
K/DA and Heartsteel identify music collaborations, while Ultimate Rare, Overnumber, Special, and related labels identify card treatments. A music theme does not by itself establish a card’s rarity tier.

Assuming every Overnumber is signed
Riot says an Overnumber may also be found with an artist signature. “May” means signed copies are a possible variant, not a property of every Overnumber.
Turning an average into a guarantee
The approximately 0.025% figure is averaged across the full print run. It cannot be used as a guaranteed pack, display, or case quota, and Riot says no pack, box, or case guarantees an Ultimate Rare.

Are Heartsteel cards in Radiance?
Yes. Riot specifically identifies Heartsteel Overnumbers. Check the individual gallery entry to determine whether a card is also signed or has another treatment.
How do you identify a Radiance Overnumber?
Match the card to the official Radiance gallery, confirm the Overnumber treatment label, verify the set and language, and inspect whether the copy has an artist signature. Riot says the nine new Legends have Overnumbered variants, but an Overnumber is not necessarily signed.
How many packs are in a Radiance Booster Display?
The Riot Games Store listing describes a Radiance Booster Display with 24 booster packs. The listing currently shows “Out of Stock,” a status that can change.
Does a Radiance display guarantee an Ultimate Rare?
No. Riot says pack contents are randomized and that Ultimate Rares are not guaranteed in a pack, box, display, or case. A display is 24 randomized pack openings, not a fixed chase-card allocation.
When does Radiance release and which languages are listed?
Riot schedules Radiance for October 23, 2026, with English, French, and Chinese releases. Regional availability should be checked on the relevant official product page.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Radiance’s rarest confirmed tier is the Ultimate Rare, averaging approximately 0.025% of booster packs across Riot’s entire print run—not one guaranteed card per 4,000 packs or per display. Identify K/DA as Special cards, Heartsteel as Overnumbers, and signed Overnumbers as a separate possible variant. For a specific chase card, verify the current official gallery and buy a properly identified single; treat sealed packs and 24-pack displays as randomized products.
