Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
To host Pokehaan Craft, first choose the correct generation, then install its matching official ServerFiles archive on a self-hosted computer or a managed Forge host. The original pack runs on Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge and uses PokehaanCraft-1.4.3-ServerFiles.zip. Pokehaan Craft 2 runs on Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge and uses PokehaanCraft2-2.16.4-ServerFiles.zip. The server and every player must use the same Minecraft version, Forge loader, mod list, and configuration.
Do not combine files from the two generations. A mixed installation is the most common cause of missing-mod, incompatible-channel, and connection errors. The procedure below covers both editions, self-hosting and managed hosting, network access, backups, performance, and recovery.

Which Pokehaan Craft version should you host?
Pokehaan Craft has two separate server targets. Decide which client pack your group will play before downloading a server archive.
| Pack | Minecraft version | Loader | Server archive listed for the release researched | Archive release date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Original Pokehaan Craft | 1.12.2 | Forge | PokehaanCraft-1.4.3-ServerFiles.zip |
September 7, 2026 |
| Pokehaan Craft 2 | 1.16.5 | Forge | PokehaanCraft2-2.16.4-ServerFiles.zip |
September 7, 2026 |
These are different modpacks, not interchangeable updates. Give players the client release that corresponds exactly to the server archive. A player running the original 1.12.2 pack cannot join a Pokehaan Craft 2 server, and changing only the Minecraft version while keeping the old mods is not a supported upgrade path.

CurseForge listed about 2.0 million downloads for Pokehaan Craft and 895,010 for Pokehaan Craft 2 in 2026. Those figures indicate adoption, not a hardware requirement or a guarantee that every release is compatible with every other release.
What Pokehaan Craft 2 adds
The Pokehaan Craft 2 description lists Pixelmon, more than 250 quests, custom recipe changes, BetterDungeons, Dungeons Arise, Chipped and Framed Blocks, Mystical Agriculture, Oh The Biomes You’ll Go, ProjectE, and several technology mods. It also lists performance-related mods including Embeddium, FastWorkbench, and ModernFix, plus Lootr server tweaks. Pokéstop egg drops change with monthly content updates, and the pack description says completing the pack can take months. Plan your world and backups for a long-running game rather than a short test.

Choose self-hosting or managed hosting
Both approaches can run the official Forge server files. The practical choice depends on whether you already have an always-on computer and whether you want to manage networking and maintenance yourself.
Self-hosting
Self-hosting works well for a small private group when you have a computer that can remain powered on while players connect. You control the files, world, backups, Java and Forge process, and update timing. There is no hosting subscription, but you are responsible for operating-system updates, firewall rules, router configuration, power interruptions, and troubleshooting.

Managed hosting
A managed Minecraft host can provide an always-on machine, a control panel, automated restart options, and support. Search results advertise Pokehaan Craft hosting, but the pack generation and release must be verified before payment. Ask the provider to confirm that it supports the exact Minecraft version, Forge loader, server archive, and mod/configuration set you intend to use. A generic “modded Minecraft” plan is not proof that it supports either Pokehaan Craft generation.
| Consideration | Self-hosted computer | Managed host |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | Uses hardware you already own; optional equipment is your responsibility. | Usually a service subscription; current plan prices and limits vary by provider. |
| Recurring cost | Electricity, internet service, storage, and replacement hardware are your costs. | Recurring hosting fee; renewal prices and included resources can change. |
| Uptime | Depends on your power, internet connection, router, and maintenance. | Depends on the provider’s infrastructure and service terms. |
| File and backup control | Complete access to world, mods, scripts, and configuration files. | Depends on the panel and plan; confirm that you can download and restore complete backups. |
| Version changes | You decide when to replace the pack and can test locally first. | Panel tools may simplify file replacement, but exact Forge and pack support still must be confirmed. |
| Network setup | You configure the firewall and router for remote players. | The provider supplies the public connection settings. |
| Support | You diagnose Java, Forge, mod, and network failures yourself. | Support quality varies; ask whether staff support this specific pack generation. |
| Player-count performance | Limited by your computer, storage, and internet upload capacity. | Limited by the plan’s CPU, memory, storage, and provider’s oversubscription. |
There is no authoritative published RAM or CPU minimum for either generation in the project information considered here. Do not choose a plan from an invented “minimum.” Start with a conservative allocation, observe startup logs and in-game tick performance, and increase resources only when the workload demonstrates a need.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsGet the official server pack
- Open the CurseForge project page for the generation you selected.
- Locate the release whose server archive matches your client release:
PokehaanCraft-1.4.3-ServerFiles.zipfor the original pack orPokehaanCraft2-2.16.4-ServerFiles.zipfor Pokehaan Craft 2, as listed on September 7, 2026. - Download the ServerFiles ZIP, not merely the client profile or an unrelated version.
- Record the filename and release number in your server notes. Give that same information to every player so nobody installs a different generation.
Keep the server installation separate from your personal client installation. The server archive contains its own Forge libraries, mods, scripts, and configuration files; extracting it into a client directory makes it harder to identify changes and can overwrite files you need for playing.
Install the server on your own computer
The following sequence applies to either generation. Use the launcher and scripts included in the downloaded archive rather than replacing them with files from the other pack.

1. Create a clean server directory
- Create a dedicated folder such as
PokehaanCraft-Serveron a drive with sufficient free space. - Extract the complete ServerFiles ZIP into that folder.
- Do not rename or remove the included
mods, config, scripts, Forge libraries, or launcher files. - Keep a copy of the original ZIP outside the live directory so you can rebuild the installation if a file is damaged.
2. Start Forge once
- Run the Forge server launcher or the supplied start script from inside the extracted directory.
- Allow the first run to finish. Forge will create the initial world and additional configuration files.
- Read the console output for missing libraries, Java errors, or mod-loading failures. Stop and fix those errors before inviting players.
- When the EULA file appears, review Mojang’s terms and accept them in the manner required by that file before starting the server for players.
The first start can take longer than later starts because Forge builds directories and generates the world. A clean shutdown after this first run gives you a known starting point for configuration and backup testing.
3. Configure the basic server settings
- Set a recognizable server name in the server configuration so players can identify it.
- Choose the difficulty appropriate for your group.
- Enable the whitelist before sharing the address if the server is private. Add each player’s in-game name through the server console or the administration interface provided by your setup.
- Choose a stable world seed if you want everyone to document or reproduce the same terrain. Set it before the world is generated; changing it later does not rebuild an existing world.
- Review the remaining server properties without deleting mod-specific entries. Modpacks can depend on configuration values that are not present in a vanilla server.
4. Test locally
- Start the server and wait for Forge to report that it is ready for connections.
- Connect from the same computer or local network with the matching client release.
- Join the world, move through several areas, open inventories, and test a few Pixelmon and quest interactions.
- Stop the server using its normal console stop command rather than closing the window. A clean stop reduces the chance of world corruption.
Testing locally separates mod and configuration problems from router problems. If the matching client cannot connect locally, port forwarding will not solve the underlying installation error.
Make the server reachable by other players
Players on the same home network
For a small LAN session, give players the host computer’s local address and the port configured by the server. Ensure the operating-system firewall allows the Forge or Java server process. The exact address format depends on the operating system and router; use the local address shown by your network settings rather than the public address.
Players connecting over the internet
- Assign the host computer a stable local address, either through a router reservation or a static network configuration.
- Create a router port-forwarding rule from the server’s configured port to that local address.
- Allow the same port through the host computer’s firewall for the Java/Forge server process.
- Give remote players the public connection address and configured port, while keeping administrative interfaces private.
- Test from a connection outside your home network. Testing only from inside can produce misleading results because some routers do not support loopback connections.
Router menus differ by manufacturer, and internet providers may place customers behind carrier-grade network address translation. If outside testing fails even though local connections work, check the forwarding target, firewall rule, public address, and whether your provider permits inbound connections. A managed host avoids this home-router work by supplying its own connection settings.

- Cross platform play for up to five players between Pocket Edition and Windows 10

Keep a private server private
- Enable the whitelist before publishing the address.
- Give operator privileges only to people who need them.
- Do not expose the server console, file panel, or remote administration port to the public internet.
- Share the connection address only with the intended group.
- Review logs for repeated failed connections or unexpected operator changes.
Allocate resources and monitor performance
Pokehaan Craft combines Pixelmon with world generation, quests, dungeons, technology systems, and numerous supporting mods. Performance depends on player count, explored terrain, automation, entity counts, storage speed, and the host’s CPU and memory. The published project information does not establish an authoritative RAM or CPU baseline.
Use measured symptoms instead of a guessed minimum
- Watch startup logs for memory pressure, repeated garbage-collection pauses, or mod initialization failures.
- Observe tick performance while several players explore different areas, not only while one player stands in an empty base.
- Increase memory in small steps when the server consistently runs short, and monitor whether the change improves tick behavior.
- Keep enough memory and storage available for the operating system, backups, logs, and temporary world-generation files.
- Do not assume that allocating all available memory improves performance; excessive allocation can increase pauses and leave the operating system starved.
When a managed host advertises a memory amount, ask whether it is dedicated to your instance and whether CPU time is shared. A plan with a large memory number can still perform poorly if its CPU allocation or storage is inadequate for modded world generation.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Give every player the matching client
- Tell players whether the server is the original 1.12.2 pack or Pokehaan Craft 2 on 1.16.5.
- Have them install the exact release corresponding to your ServerFiles archive.
- Require the same Forge loader version, mod list, and configuration set.
- Do not let players add performance, cosmetic, or gameplay mods casually. Even a seemingly harmless change can alter channels, registries, recipes, or configuration values.
- Ask players to remove old generation files from test profiles if the launcher is reusing the wrong instance.
Typical symptoms of a mismatch include missing-mod messages, channel-mismatch errors, registry errors, rejected connections, or a client that disconnects during login. Compare the client’s installed mods and configuration with the server archive before changing Java settings or network rules.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Back up before updates or major changes
- Announce maintenance and stop the server cleanly from its console.
- Copy the complete world directory to storage outside the live server folder.
- Copy configuration files, scripts, and any server-specific settings that you have changed.
- Label the backup with the pack generation, release number, and date.
- Test restoration on a separate directory or machine before changing the production server.
- Only after the backup is verified, replace the pack files or apply a planned configuration change.
Keep more than one dated backup. A single backup can contain corruption that is discovered only after an update. Never overwrite your only known-good world while testing a new generation or release.
Best Value
- Play and share with friends on console, mobile and Windows 10
- discover community creations in the new in-game store
- access new mini games and game modes through servers
Updating without breaking the world
Treat a pack update as a controlled migration, not as a file drag-and-drop operation. First confirm that the new client release has a corresponding server archive and that the project instructions permit the change. Back up the world and configurations, then test the new files on a separate copy. Have at least one player connect and verify Pixelmon data, quests, recipes, storage, dimensions, and automated systems before scheduling the production change.
Do not attempt to turn the original 1.12.2 server into Pokehaan Craft 2 by replacing Forge or copying the newer mods folder over the old one. They target different Minecraft versions and have separate release archives. A migration between generations should be treated as a new server project unless the pack maintainers provide explicit migration instructions.
Troubleshoot common failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Forge reports a missing mod at startup | Incomplete archive, wrong generation, or a deleted mod. | Re-extract the matching ServerFiles ZIP into a clean directory and compare the mods folder with the archive. |
| Client shows a channel or registry mismatch | Client and server have different mod versions or configuration files. | Install the exact client release and Forge version; remove unauthorized client-side changes. |
| Players cannot connect, but the host can | Firewall, router forwarding, wrong public address, or provider network restrictions. | Test locally first, then verify the forwarding target, firewall rule, configured port, and outside-network address. |
| World generation causes severe pauses | CPU, storage, or memory pressure while new terrain and structures generate. | Test with fewer simultaneous explorers, monitor logs and tick performance, and increase resources only when measurements justify it. |
| Players lose progress after a crash | No recent clean backup or an interrupted world save. | Stop the server normally, restore the latest verified backup, and establish a regular backup schedule. |
| The wrong pack launches | Launcher profile points to another Minecraft instance. | Create a separate profile named for the exact generation and release, then verify its Minecraft and Forge versions. |
| Server starts but gameplay systems are absent | Wrong archive or incomplete extraction. | Confirm the filename, release date, scripts, configuration, and mod directories; rebuild from the official archive if necessary. |
What to confirm before paying for managed hosting
Hosting plans and resource limits change, so obtain the details for the specific plan and date. Ask the provider for written confirmation of the following:
- Support for Minecraft 1.12.2 with the original Pokehaan Craft release, or Minecraft 1.16.5 with Pokehaan Craft 2, as applicable.
- Ability to upload the complete official ServerFiles archive and retain its Forge libraries, scripts, mods, and configuration.
- Control over Java and Forge startup settings appropriate to the selected generation.
- Downloadable full-world backups and a documented restoration process.
- Enough CPU, memory, and fast storage for your expected player count and exploration pattern.
- File-manager or SFTP access so you are not locked into a proprietary installer.
- Support boundaries: whether staff troubleshoot Forge and modpack startup errors or only the host machine.
- Migration and cancellation terms, including whether you can retrieve the world and configuration files.
Use a natural request such as “Pokehaan Craft server hosting for release 2.16.4” or “managed Forge hosting for the 1.4.3 server files,” rather than accepting a generic modded-server label. The exact release is more important than a marketing claim that the host supports Pixelmon.
Project status and licensing context
The official disclaimer identifies Pokehaan Craft as an unofficial fan-made project and says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK, or Creatures Inc. Hosting the pack does not turn the server into an official Pokémon service. Follow the pack, mod, and Minecraft license terms, and do not present your server as endorsed by those companies.
