The only official free way to earn the Champion Teal Knight FNCS skin in Fortnite is to compete in Epic’s Champion Teal Knight FNCS Cup and finish within your region’s prize cutoff. The event is scheduled for October 18–19, 2026. Epic’s event listing describes a Solo Battle Royale competition, while the event rules also specify a separate Zero Build qualifier.
There is no code or ordinary Item Shop unlock listed for this reward. You must qualify through tournament placement, satisfy Epic’s account and age requirements, and complete any winner verification.
What you can win
The prize package contains four cosmetics, awarded together to qualifying players:
- FNCS Teal Knight in-game outfit
- FNCS Ice Breaker pickaxe
- Teal Knight’s Emblem back bling
- Knightly FNCS wrap
Epic’s rules state that the highest point earners shown on each regional leaderboard receive the prizes listed for that region and event mode. The outfit and the other cosmetics are not awarded merely for opening Fortnite or entering a session.

Check eligibility before the cup
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on the Epic Account you will use to compete.
- Meet the minimum age requirement: at least 13, or the higher minimum age required in your country.
- If you are a minor, obtain parent or legal-guardian permission to accept the rules and participate. Epic also assigns the parent or guardian responsibility for supervising the minor’s participation.
- Check your region’s prize eligibility. Turkey and Russia are listed as prize-restricted regions in the event terms.
Use the same Epic Account for the tournament and for any later prize verification. Do not switch accounts after competing.
How to enter and play the standard event
- Launch Fortnite with the eligible Epic Account and open the Compete tab.
- Select the Champion Teal Knight FNCS Cup session that matches your matchmaking region. Epic says the final dates and times appear in-game and can change, so the schedule shown in Fortnite takes priority over an earlier announcement.
- Join the applicable Solo Battle Royale or Zero Build session. The event listing identifies Solo Battle Royale, and the event-specific rules add a separate Zero Build qualifier.
- Play within the session window. A standard session lasts about three hours and allows up to 11 matches.
- Earn points under Fortnite’s in-game scoring system. Only matches that begin before the session closes count toward the leaderboard.
- Finish inside the prize cutoff for your region and mode. Cutoffs are based on regional points, not a single worldwide ranking.
Regional placement cutoffs
The following figures are the outfit-package cutoffs listed for the standard Zero Build cup and for the separate Mobile Cup. “Top 100,” for example, means you must finish at rank 100 or higher on that region’s applicable leaderboard.

These are placement thresholds, not guaranteed point totals. Your final rank can move as other players complete their counted matches, so check the in-game leaderboard after the session.

Yes. Epic lists a separate Mobile Cup with Solo and Reload settings and its own sessions. It is shorter than the standard event: each mobile session lasts one hour and 15 minutes and permits up to eight matches. You still need MFA, the applicable age and consent requirements, and a qualifying regional finish.
Rank #3
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
| Competition | Settings | Session length | Match limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard cup | Solo Battle Royale; separate Zero Build qualifier | About three hours | Up to 11 |
| Mobile Cup | Solo and Reload | 1 hour 15 minutes | Up to 8 |
Because the mobile leaderboard and cutoffs are separate, playing on a mobile session does not use the standard cup’s placement threshold.

Epic identifies potential winners by the final regional leaderboard and then verifies eligibility. Potential winners are notified at the email address on the competing Epic Account within 60 days of the event. Keep that account active and monitor its email so you can complete the requested verification. A leaderboard finish alone does not remove the event’s age, regional, MFA, or consent conditions.

Important schedule and prize cautions
- The announced event dates are October 18–19, 2026, but Epic can change dates, times, or modes.
- The in-game Compete schedule is the final authority for your region.
- Only matches started before the session closes are counted; starting a match after the deadline will not add points.
- Prize cutoffs are mode- and region-specific. Do not apply the EU threshold, for example, to another region or to a different cup.
- The official materials describe tournament placement as the free route and do not provide a code or standard Item Shop purchase method for this cosmetic.
