To get Fancy Ragdoll, open Fortnite’s Item Shop, find the Fancy Ragdoll Sidekick listing, and purchase it for 1,200 V-Bucks while it is available. Epic’s listing currently shows an end time of October 23, 2026, at 12:00 AM (GMT+00:00). Because shop rotations can change, confirm the live countdown in your own Item Shop before buying.
What Fancy Ragdoll is
Fancy Ragdoll is a customizable cat Sidekick from Fortnite’s Chic Cat set. Epic describes it as “The sweetest little fluffy friend.” The Sidekick was introduced in Chapter 7, Season 4 and is an Item Shop cosmetic, not a quest reward, Battle Pass unlock, or gameplay challenge.
Sidekicks follow or accompany your character and react to the surrounding world. They are cosmetic companions: Fancy Ragdoll does not provide combat abilities, locate loot, or reveal opponents.

- Launch Fortnite and sign in to the account that will use the Sidekick.
- From the main menu, open Item Shop.
- Find the listing named Fancy Ragdoll. If it is not visible, it is not currently offered in the shop on your account’s live rotation.
- Check that your balance contains at least 1,200 V-Bucks. The listed price is corroborated by the current shop listing from FortniteTracker.
- Select Purchase and confirm the transaction.
- Open your Locker, go to the Sidekick controls, and equip Fancy Ragdoll.
Epic’s item page says the complete representation of the cosmetic and its available options appear in the in-game Item Shop. If the web listing and your game client differ, use the in-game listing and countdown as the final authority.

The October 23 date is the end time displayed by Epic’s 2026 listing, not a guarantee that the item will return on a particular future date. If the timer has expired, wait for a future rotation rather than looking for a quest or hidden unlock requirement.
Choose the cat’s appearance before you lock it
Fancy Ragdoll supports several coat patterns and colors. During the purchase and setup flow, preview the available appearance choices and select the one you want before confirming the lock-in.

The customization is permanent
Epic states that you can make the Sidekick your own by locking in its appearance after purchase, and that your choices are permanent. Treat the preview screen as a one-time decision: inspect the coat pattern, color, and any other offered options before you confirm. Do not lock the appearance until you are satisfied.
The permanent lock applies to the appearance choice, not to the ability to equip or unequip the Sidekick. You can still manage the cosmetic from your Locker after buying it.

What Fancy Ragdoll can and cannot do
Reactions and visibility
- Sidekicks react to the world around your character.
- In Battle Royale, you can see only your team’s Sidekicks.
- Visibility can vary in other Fortnite experiences, so another player’s Sidekick may not always be displayed the same way.
No enemy or item detection
Fancy Ragdoll will not detect enemies or items. It cannot mark an opponent, point out a chest, identify nearby loot, or give an awareness advantage. Choose it for its companion animation and appearance rather than for information during a match.

Fancy Ragdoll is missing from the shop
Item Shop inventory is rotational. Recheck the shop later and verify that the date and countdown shown in your client have not passed. There is no separate challenge path that unlocks this Sidekick.

You do not have enough V-Bucks
You need a balance of at least 1,200 V-Bucks at checkout. Add V-Bucks through Fortnite’s normal purchase flow, then return to the Fancy Ragdoll listing and confirm the price before completing the transaction.

You selected the wrong color or pattern
Epic says the appearance choice becomes permanent after it is locked. Review every available option in the preview step before confirming; do not assume you can recolor the cat later.

The Sidekick does not appear for another player
This is expected behavior in Battle Royale, where players see only their own team’s Sidekicks. Other Fortnite experiences can apply different visibility rules.
