To get the Eternal Lunar Dragon Egg in Steal An Egg, build up Speed, enter the Cosmic area, take the egg, evade its guardian and other players, and return it to your base. Community guides put the Cosmic Speed benchmark at 700 million, but that is not a guarantee you can escape with a heavy egg. The community-listed baseline hatch time is 7 hours.
What you need before attempting the Cosmic area
The official Roblox game listing describes the core loop: steal eggs, hatch pets, earn money, upgrade your treadmill and base, and train Speed. Use that progression to build a cushion above the community-reported 700 million Speed benchmark for Cosmic. The benchmark is a planning reference, not a safe-return guarantee; a large egg can make the escape harder.
- Train Speed on the treadmill and improve your base through the game’s progression.
- Check the live game for the current Cosmic requirement before going in.
- Build extra Speed beyond the displayed or reported threshold if you plan to carry a large egg.
StealAnEggs.com’s Cosmic guide, with data checked September 30, 2026, identifies the Cosmic Skeleton as the area’s guardian and advises that larger eggs may require more Speed to escape with safely: Cosmic guide.

How to steal and return the egg
The exact route can depend on live spawns and other players. A guide updated August 21, 2026, describes watching for the egg to spawn, positioning near the relevant area, taking it quickly, avoiding the guardian and competitors, and returning it to base. Treat this as a suggested tactic, not a tested or guaranteed route: NerdsChalk’s route account.

Eternal Lunar Dragon stats
The Steal an Egg Wiki’s configuration reference for game configuration v490, checked September 11, 2026, lists these baseline values. It also notes that size, mutations, and active bonuses can change actual income and hatch timing.

How long does the egg take to hatch?
The community configuration reference lists a 7-hour base hatch time. Once the egg is at your base, check its countdown: size, mutations, or active bonuses may affect timing. If the game offers an instant hatch, check the selected egg and current price in the prompt before spending Robux. A guide’s reported skip prices are run-specific and are not established as current prices.
How much money does the pet make per second?
The listed baseline is $250,000,000 per second. Actual income can differ with size, mutations, and active bonuses. A single NerdsChalk run reported a 1.8 billion-per-second pet, but that is an example from that run—not the species’ standard income. The same account’s 520,000 kg egg and 2.06 trillion player Speed are likewise anecdotal, not universal requirements or stats.

Is 700 million Speed enough for Cosmic?
It is the community-reported Cosmic benchmark, not a guarantee that you can carry an egg back safely. The Cosmic guide specifically warns that larger eggs may need more Speed to escape. Check the live game’s requirement and build a margin rather than treating 700 million as a universal safe-return threshold.
