In Destroy a Vault, the basic progression loop is to roll for robots, place them in base slots so they can attack, collect Gold from vaults, smelt that Gold into Cash, and reinvest in your army and base. Rolling alone does not put a robot to work: a third-party beginner guide says you need a slot and must place the robot there. Follow the live tutorial prompts, since game controls and interface details can change.
How the progression loop works
The Roblox listing for Destroy a Vault by LoopForge Studios describes the experience as a cycle of collecting robots, attacking vaults, converting Gold into Cash, and improving your setup. In practical terms, work through these steps:
- Roll for a robot. Use the roll area to try for robots. The official game description advertises rolling for rare robots, but does not provide a complete current roster or the odds for particular robots.
- Get a slot and place the robot. A third-party beginner guide says a rolled robot needs a purchased placement slot and must be placed in your base before it contributes to attacks. Check the tutorial prompts and the current in-game interface for the sequence and cost.
- Let your placed robots attack. The game description presents your robot army as the means of attacking vaults. The guide identifies the vault as the source of Gold, so make sure you have robots placed before expecting your army to contribute.
- Collect Gold and use the Smelter. Gold is the vault reward in the beginner guide’s account of the loop. Take accumulated Gold to the Smelter to convert it into Cash.
- Reinvest in progress. The listing names robot upgrades, base expansion, and stronger vaults as progression options. A progression guide recommends considering slots for robots you can field and then using remaining Cash on upgrades, but that is guide advice—not an official build order.
Gold and Cash do different jobs
Do not treat Gold and Cash as interchangeable. In the described progression, Gold comes from vault activity and is converted at the Smelter; Cash is the currency you then use for spending. If you have earned Gold but cannot afford an upgrade, check whether you need to smelt it first.

The official listing says robots earn Gold while you are offline. It does not state an earning rate, a cap, or other limits, so do not assume a particular amount will accumulate during a given absence.

A cautious route for your first session
Use the following as a practical first-visit sequence, not a guaranteed fastest strategy. The third-party controls guide recommends starting with the tutorial and checking the game’s visible prompts.
- Follow the tutorial. Use its prompts to locate the roll area, slots, Smelter, and upgrade boards. Interface placement and steps can change.
- Check the Settings or codes panel. The official listing displays RELEASE and UPDATE and mentions 100K as a surprise code. Neither the listing information captured here nor the guide establishes exact rewards or expiry dates. Try codes only through the live in-game panel and do not count on a particular reward.
- Roll, then activate the robot. After rolling, check whether you need to buy a slot, then place the robot in your base. A robot still waiting to be placed is not yet part of the attack loop described by the guide.
- Let the army attack and watch your Gold. Once robots are placed, use the game’s prompts to continue the vault activity and collect Gold.
- Visit the Smelter when you have Gold. Convert it into Cash before trying to spend it on progression.
- Choose an affordable next improvement. A progression guide suggests slots and robot upgrades, followed by base expansion and stronger vaults as progress permits. Check current costs and effects in the game; the available guides do not establish a universal spending order or a complete numeric comparison.
Controls and places to look
An unofficial controls guide lists these defaults. They may change, so follow the on-screen prompt if a control differs in your session.
