The most clearly documented way to get Riven Slivers is to defeat level 30-or-higher Eximus enemies. Digital Extremes’ Update 32 notes recorded a 2% chance for both regular and Steel Path Eximus, although that is a historical patch-note figure rather than a guaranteed current rate. You can also obtain Slivers from Requiem Relic openings, Empyrean missions, and certain high-level Jackal encounters, according to the Warframe Wiki. Once you have them, Palladino at Iron Wake exchanges Slivers for Riven-related items and other rewards.
This guide separates officially documented information from community-maintained drop information, explains the practical requirements for every route, and lists the weekly-limited items added to Palladino’s wares in Update 42.
Where Riven Slivers drop
Riven Slivers are a resource used primarily at Palladino’s shop in Iron Wake. They are not a guaranteed reward from a single mission, and the available evidence does not establish one universally best Sliver-per-hour farm. Your most dependable general approach is to play missions that contain many eligible Eximus units and collect Slivers as they appear, while using the other routes when they fit your normal progression.
| Route | What must happen | Evidence and probability | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular Eximus | Defeat an Eximus enemy at level 30 or higher | Digital Extremes’ Update 32 notes listed a 2% chance at the time of that update | General mission play and deliberate Eximus-heavy runs |
| Steel Path Eximus | Defeat an Eximus enemy at level 30 or higher in Steel Path | Update 32 also listed 2%; verify the live table before treating this as current | Players already comfortable with Steel Path |
| Requiem Relics | Open a Requiem Relic | Listed by the Warframe Wiki; an individual current chance was not established | Players already earning Requiem Relics through Kuva or Lich content |
| Empyrean missions | Complete an eligible Empyrean mission | Listed by the Warframe Wiki; no current individual chance was confirmed | Railjack players collecting rewards during normal progression |
| Jackal | Fight a level 41-or-higher Jackal encounter | The Wiki lists a 5% chance in Sortie or Steel Path context; this figure is community-sourced and should be checked in current tables | Players already running the qualifying Jackal content |
The route list is broader than the officially documented Eximus information. Treat the table as a planning aid, not as a promise that every listed activity currently has the same rewards on every platform or in every mission variant.

How to farm Slivers from Eximus enemies
Eximus units are the clearest starting point because Digital Extremes explicitly documented the drop condition. Update 32 said that Riven Slivers could drop from Eximus units at level 30 and over and recorded a 2% chance for regular Eximus and a 2% chance for Steel Path Eximus. The notes also emphasized that Slivers only have a chance to drop from Eximus level 30 and over.
Step 1: Choose content where Eximus can reach level 30
Check the enemy level shown by the mission or activity before you begin. A low-level mission can contain an Eximus unit without meeting the level requirement, so seeing the Eximus visual effects alone is not enough. Select a mission or mode whose enemy level reaches at least 30, or use Steel Path if that is already part of your normal rotation.
Step 2: Identify eligible Eximus units
Eximus enemies have the distinctive Eximus energy effects and special abilities associated with their unit type. Confirm that the individual enemy is level 30 or higher rather than assuming the entire activity qualifies. The documented condition is tied to the Eximus enemy’s level.
Step 3: Defeat the units and collect the result
Kill the eligible Eximus units normally and watch the mission reward notifications and your inventory. A qualifying kill can fail to produce a Sliver because the drop is chance-based. The 2% figure means roughly one successful roll in 50 on average if the historical rate still applies; it does not mean one Sliver appears after exactly 50 kills, nor does it guarantee a drop in a particular mission.
Step 4: Check the current rate before optimizing around it
The 2% value comes from a 2022 Update 32 patch note. It is useful evidence of the documented rule and an old reference rate, but it should not be presented as the live probability without checking the current official drop tables or the in-game reward information. Warframe’s reward tables can change when updates alter loot pools or mission systems.
Regular missions versus Steel Path
Update 32 listed the same 2% chance for regular and Steel Path Eximus. That does not by itself prove that Steel Path is more efficient: efficiency also depends on how many eligible Eximus units you encounter, how quickly you clear the activity, and whether you can complete it consistently. Use Steel Path because it suits your account and build, not because the old note establishes a guaranteed advantage.
Requiem Relics: a secondary Sliver source
The Warframe Wiki lists opening Requiem Relics as another way to receive Riven Slivers. Its Void Relic information associates Requiem Relics with rewards that can include Slivers and identifies several ways to obtain the relics, including Kuva Siphon and Kuva Flood missions, Lich Thralls, and Sister Hounds.

How the route works
- Obtain a Requiem Relic through eligible Kuva, Lich, or Sister-related activities.
- Enter a mission that allows the Requiem Relic to be opened.
- Equip the relic and complete the relic-opening objective.
- Choose the reward shown at the end of the relic mission.
The consulted information does not establish a current individual probability for a Riven Sliver from each Requiem Relic tier or refinement state. Do not buy, refine, or spend relics assuming a fixed Sliver return. This route makes the most sense when you are already pursuing Kuva Liches, Sisters, or other Requiem rewards; it is not proven here to outperform Eximus hunting.
Empyrean missions
Empyrean missions are also listed by the Warframe Wiki as possible Riven Sliver sources. Because the available evidence does not specify a current chance for each mission type, node, or reward rotation, treat Slivers as an additional reward rather than the sole reason to launch a Railjack activity.
Practical approach
- Run Empyrean content you already need for Railjack progression, components, resources, or quest objectives.
- Review the end-of-mission rewards instead of assuming every Empyrean activity has an identical loot table.
- Record which mission variants actually produce Slivers on your current account and platform, since the general route listing does not provide a complete modern table.
This is an incidental-collection route unless you have verified a specific current activity in the official tables or in-game information.
Jackal encounters at level 41 or higher
The Warframe Wiki lists level 41-or-higher Jackal encounters as a Sliver source and gives a 5% chance in Sortie or Steel Path context. That 5% value is community-maintained information and was not independently confirmed against an official current drop table in the available documentation.
When this route is sensible
Use the Jackal route when the qualifying encounter is already part of your Sortie or Steel Path plans. Confirm the Jackal’s level and the activity variant before relying on the reward. A lower-level Jackal fight, or a different mission context, may not use the same table described by the Wiki.
Because no current official comparison of completion time, encounter frequency, and reward chance is available here, it is not possible to rank Jackal farming above Eximus farming by Slivers per hour.
How to spend Riven Slivers at Palladino
Palladino is located at Iron Wake on Earth. The Warframe Wiki describes her Riven Sliver offerings as weekly-reset stock, while Warframe Support confirms Palladino’s Iron Wake location and discusses the area in connection with Chains of Harrow. The available Support information does not explicitly verify every access prerequisite, so use the in-game quest and location prompts to determine when the vendor is available on your account.

Officially announced Update 42 additions
Digital Extremes’ Update 42 notes added the following items to Palladino’s wares in exchange for Riven Slivers. The notes specify purchase limits but do not state each item’s Sliver cost.

“No limit” in the Update 42 notes means no stated weekly purchase cap for those entries; it does not establish that the items are free or that the stock is unlimited in every other sense. Check the displayed price and availability in Palladino’s current shop before spending Slivers.
Other offerings reported by the Wiki
The Wiki’s Riven Sliver page also describes existing offerings such as veiled Riven Mods, Credits, and Kuva. It reports that the vendor offerings reset Monday at 00:00 UTC. Because both the item list and costs can change, use the in-game shop as the authority for the price, quantity, and current stock. The weekly timing should likewise be treated as a reported schedule until confirmed in the live game.

If you are still progressing through the star chart
Do not divert your entire progression for a resource with chance-based drops. Select level-30-or-higher activities that you can clear safely and let eligible Eximus kills accumulate Sliver rolls. If you are working on Kuva Lich or Sister content, keep the Requiem Relics you earn and open them when their other rewards are useful.
If you regularly play Steel Path
Steel Path Eximus kills satisfy the documented level condition, and Update 32 listed the same historical 2% chance as regular Eximus. Choose the Steel Path mission that fits your normal loadout and completion speed. The evidence does not support claiming that a particular node is the universal best farm.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteIf you already run Sorties or the Jackal
Check whether the encounter is level 41 or higher and whether it is the Sortie or Steel Path context described by the Wiki. Collect any Sliver that appears, but do not assume the community-listed 5% chance is a current official guarantee.
If you have Railjack objectives
Empyrean missions can provide an opportunity to collect Slivers while pursuing Railjack progression. Review the reward screen and keep notes on the mission types that pay out on your current version.
If you are saving for a specific Palladino item
Visit Iron Wake before committing to a long farm. Confirm the item is currently stocked, note its displayed Sliver price, and check its remaining weekly limit. This prevents farming toward an item that has rotated out or toward a cost that has changed.
Why a Sliver may not appear
The enemy was below level 30
The official Eximus condition is level 30 or higher. An Eximus killed in a lower-level activity does not meet that documented requirement.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The chance simply failed
Even if the historical 2% value still applies, most individual eligible kills will not produce a Sliver. There is no pity counter or guaranteed drop described in the available information.
You are checking the wrong reward location
Review the mission-end reward screen and your resource inventory. Relic, Empyrean, and boss-related rewards can be presented differently from ordinary enemy drops.
The activity variant is not the qualifying one
For Jackal rewards, verify both the level threshold and the Sortie or Steel Path context associated with the Wiki’s listing. For Requiem Relics and Empyrean missions, confirm that the activity actually permits the relevant reward table.
The vendor’s stock has changed
Palladino’s inventory is subject to weekly stock and update changes. A missing item, a different cost, or an exhausted limit is not evidence that your Slivers are lost. Recheck the shop after the next reset and compare its current display with the official update notes.
A reliable checklist
- Set a goal: general Sliver accumulation, a Requiem-related reward, a Riven item, or a cosmetic.
- Open Palladino’s shop at Iron Wake and record the current item, price, and remaining limit.
- For Eximus farming, use content where the enemy level reaches 30 or higher.
- For a Jackal attempt, verify level 41 or higher and the qualifying activity context.
- Open Requiem Relics or run Empyrean missions when those activities already serve another objective.
- Check the live official drop information before using an old percentage to estimate your needs.
- Spend Slivers only after confirming the current weekly stock and displayed cost.
What is firmly established—and what is not
The strongest documented acquisition rule is the level-30-or-higher Eximus requirement. Digital Extremes’ Update 32 notes recorded a 2% chance for both regular and Steel Path Eximus at that time. The Warframe Wiki expands the route list to Requiem Relic openings, Empyrean missions, and level-41-or-higher Jackal encounters, but the current individual odds for those routes were not established in the available official tables.
Digital Extremes’ Update 42 notes firmly establish the additional Palladino wares and their weekly limits, not the Sliver price of each item. The Wiki supplies further shop details, including reported weekly reset timing and older offerings, but those details should be checked against the live vendor. This distinction matters: you can plan around the documented activities, yet you should verify current rates, costs, and stock before optimizing a farm or spending a large reserve.
