To unlock Noob in How to Fish, get a kill without triggering an earlier kill-score bonus. The most controlled attempt is to weaken an ordinary creature on the ground, then finish it with an aimed body shot from moderate range. You do not need a special fish or a displayed score of exactly 1.00x.
What the Noob achievement requires
How to Fish rewards trick shots with higher earnings from kills. Noob is the plain-kill case: the goal is to kill a creature without one of the usual score bonuses applying first. A game guide for version 1.0.12 describes Noob as a 1.01x fallback, so the number shown in the result is not necessarily 1.00x.

- Pick an ordinary creature. Use a target that is not marked endangered. No particular species or island is established as a requirement.
- Get it onto flat ground. A grounded fish is easier to control than one that is airborne or in water.
- Weaken it before the finishing shot. This reduces the chance of a one-shot bonus.
- Reload if needed. Make sure the finishing shot will not empty the magazine and trigger a last-bullet bonus.
- Aim at the body from moderate range. Keep more than two units away and under 25 units, according to the version 1.0.12 guide. These are guide-specific thresholds, not a developer-published guarantee.
- Hold aim before firing. Stay aimed for more than half a second before the final shot, and use a straightforward shot rather than a flourish.
- Allow time after your previous kill or a spin. Leave more than three seconds after a kill and more than one second after a spin before attempting the Noob kill.
- Check the score result. If a bonus appears, remove the condition named by that bonus and try again with a simpler setup.
These detailed timing and distance values come from a guide written for version 1.0.12. They may change in later updates, and the guide cautions that its setup reduces unwanted bonuses but cannot guarantee that none will apply. The version 1.0.12 trick-achievement guide

Bonuses that can spoil a plain kill
- Quick scope: do not fire immediately after aiming; hold aim for more than half a second.
- No scope: remain aimed through the shot.
- 360: wait more than one second after spinning.
- Multikill: wait more than three seconds after the prior kill.
- Point blank or longshot: avoid extreme proximity or distance; the guide’s suggested range is over two and under 25 units.
- One shot one kill: weaken the creature before the final hit.
- Last bullet: reload if the finishing shot would empty the magazine.
- Endangered: choose a creature without the endangered flag.
- Finally: avoid a long spray of attacks before the finishing hit.
Headshots, airborne targets, and other trick-shot conditions can also add a bonus. If the result is not a plain kill, change the condition associated with the bonus shown rather than repeating the same setup.
Do you need a particular fish or a special time?
No special fish is specified, and no particular progression point or time is established as necessary. Use an ordinary, non-endangered creature and focus on controlling the final shot. A simpler alternative is to put a fish on flat ground and kill it with an ordinary ranged weapon without a headshot, spin, jump, extreme-distance shot, point-blank shot, or overkill flourish. For troubleshooting, the more controlled setup above is preferable to firing a magazine rapidly, since the final round can itself trigger a bonus.

Why the displayed multiplier may not be 1.00x
The achievement concerns the absence of an earlier kill-score bonus, not a requirement that the result display exactly 1.00x. The version 1.0.12 guide identifies Noob as a 1.01x fallback. Treat that as version-specific scoring information rather than a timeless rule; if the game updates, the scoring thresholds or display may differ.
